Finding the right place for a loved one can be such a challenging and emotional journey and it sounds like you've found a truly special environment for him. Hello, my name is Deirdre Rogers and I am the Resident Ambassador at Melbourn Springs.
I am a volunteer and my role is to support the residents and their relatives and act as their voice. I listen to their compliments, concerns and suggestions and share this information with Magda, the General Manager, on a regular basis. I also attend the meetings for Residents and Relatives.
My stepmother was a resident of the Elstar community for three years, having moved here in December 2021.
I am retired and was previously employed as an Ofsted Early Years Inspector and Team Manager for 20 years. I have also worked as a volunteer setting up many local community projects as well as a befriender for Age UK.
I aim to ensure that a high standard of care for all residents is maintained and continuously improved.
