His main concern was The uncomfortable bed. He usually sleeps in a medium soft double bed so found the single bed with a firm mattress was painful for his spine and he was worried about falling out.

Dad has been cared for so well by Eddie and his team. They are always available to speak with and always greet us with a smile.
The events team, Anne and Janine work so hard to give the residents a variety of activities. They are so caring and mindful of everyone's needs.
The manager Vimukthika is very professional and although dad sadly needed to be transferred, she dealt with everything sensitively and seamlessly.
I would not hesitate to recommend Melbourn Springs. What a lovely care home.

On the whole this is a good care home, but it only has very hard beds so not for you if you like softness. The food is adequate and the staff are lovely. Really helpful and kind. It is a little "down market" with Bingo several times a week, but there are a lot of other occupations available....
IMPORTANT. Needs handholds in shower - essential for safety.
STOP Lighting the "garden" at night. It is very bad for nature - plants, and the natural world. Also for the energy "crises"!

When we visit my Sister the staff are always very welcoming and the atmosphere is very happy, there always seems to be some activity going on. Singalongs in the afternoon which we have attended and throughly enjoyed. Plus a cup of tea/coffee.

Hi, my mum has been a resident for 4 years at Melbourne, she has been very happy there and the staff have been very attentive, the chef provides great food and the staff also seem to be happy. Sadly mum died recently and Melbourn allowed a lovely service for me and my family. I can honestly say it was the best decision I made to move mum from the North of England so that I could see her more easily, from start to the end she was in a loving setting. I would recommend to anyone considering this home for their nearest and dearest.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. If there are any issues they are always resolved immediately and do not recur. My mother is very content there. There are plenty of opportunities to do activities. My mother enjoys the meals.
