Food & housekeeping is excellent as is maintenance & gardens.
Team is great.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm so pleased to hear that your mum is happy and well looked after. It's lovely to know that our food, housekeeping, maintenance, and gardening teams are making such a positive difference. I'll be sure to share your comments with the whole team. They'll be delighted to know their hard work is appreciated.
Lovely home with staff that care and feel part of the family. My Mum has struggled at times and the staff have worked really hard to find ways to help her. I can say that over the last few months she has been the happiest she has been during her dementia journey
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means the world to us to hear that your mum is feeling happy and supported-especially during such a personal journey. Our team truly cares and works hard to make every resident feel safe, valued, and part of the family. We're so glad to be walking this path alongside you.
Taken brilliant care of my grandad, good services, entertainment and care.
We enjoy the activities and meals together.
A very reassuring experience to see my former teacher in spotless accommodation and cared for by friendly, respectful, considerate, cheerful, understanding staff, who were also prompt, welcoming and helpful to visitors. The atmosphere was calm - unlike some care homes, staff didn't seem rushed off their feet. Lunch was excellent! And served better than in most top-class hotels. Personally I liked the staff's smart uniforms, the formality inspired confidence. I look forward to visiting again.
My relative was resistant to coming to a care home but has been so welcomed and nurtured by Melbourn Springs staff that she is happy now. Every member of staff is helpful, friendly and caring. There are activities every day to include all residents if they so choose. The building is well designed to facilitate easy living for residents with suitable socialising spaces for visits. The friends and families are included for many entertainments. Very good food.
Lovely garden party with BBQ and sing a long with Charlie Chaplin.
Congratulations to all involved in organising the party and thank you for your hard work, to all the staff, too many to mention, however, I would like to single out the general manager and her family, along with the activities lead and another staff member for their extra efforts in ensuring everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves.Well done
I am very pleased and impressed with the care she gets. All the staff (carers, activities team, admin etc.) are friendly and kind. There is a wide variety of activities for residents with kindly encouragement to attend.
The facilities are modern, clean, well maintained and well designed. The food is varied and from what I can tell from the occasions where I have shared. well prepared and tasty.
Management at the home try to make it a home for residents and involve relatives in various activities. Recent examples are Mother's Day celebration and Melbourn Spring's 5th birthday party
I would highly recommend
Very impressed with the caring staff and level of care offered. Mum stayed a week for respite care. The home is very clean and smart. The dining room bright and airy with proper linen table cloths, comfortable chairs and delicious meals from a varied menu. Tea and coffee and cakes available all day. Efficiently run and very smooth check in and departure. Brilliant entertainment offered as well. Would highly recommend.
Most importantly, the staff are extremely helpful and kind. I will have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
My husband has been in Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home for just over a year. The carers all treat him with respect, compassion and are always very supportive. He was born in Liverpool so has that wonderful sense of humour which is reciprocated by all the staff making him smile. He especially enjoys those activities which involve music and animals. The home is kept so clean and fresh which I know is hard work and the food is delicious. If you don't like what you see they will always provide something else. It is so comfortable, like a home from home. It took me a long time to find the right place for him. It is comforting for me to know that he is in safe hands and happy.
Hi Susan. It's wonderful to hear how happy and well cared for your husband is at Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home. Finding the right place for a loved one can be such a challenging and emotional journey and it sounds like you've found a truly special environment for him. The respect,...
We cannot fault this care home.
It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and the food is really good.
The staff are all so caring and kind - especially one member of staff in particular who was exceptionally kind and caring (both to my husband and I, and to my mother in law).
Melbourn Springs is a wonderful place.
Thank you very much for everything you did.
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt message about your mother-in-law's time at Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home. It's clear how much care and kindness you experienced, not only for her but for your whole family, during such a meaningful time. Wishing you and your family peace and strength and thank you for acknowledging the wonderful work we do at Melbourn Springs.
My mum has been a resident for three months. The staff are incredibly compassionate and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure the well-being and comfort of their residents. The facilities are clean and well maintained creating a welcoming and safe environment. My mum enjoys the variety of activities offered. We were also delighted that during the summer we were able to use one of the lounges to visit with extended family and are always offered a coffee/tea. Overall I would highly recommend Melbourn Springs to anyone seeking a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones. The dedication of the staff and the quality of care provided have made a significant difference in Mum's life.
Thank you, Andy, for sharing such a glowing review of your mum's experience at Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home. It's wonderful to hear how compassionate and attentive the staff have been, ensuring not just her care but her comfort and happiness too. Your recommendation speaks volumes about the quality of care at Melbourn Springs - thank you for sharing this heartfelt feedback, Andy.
A wonderful team who supported my father with care, dignity and kindness throughout his stay during good and more challenging times, when Dad's health was not as good. As a family, we have been kept up to date at all times and always made to feel welcome when visiting. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you, Katrina, for your kind words about your father's care at Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home. It's truly uplifting to hear how the team treated him with such dignity and kindness, even during the more difficult times. Your gratitude beautifully highlights the comfort and support they...
As my father-in-law's condition has declined, we have had to make the difficult decisions about his care. Initially, Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home was able to move him to a specialist dementia community. The staff and management could not have been more helpful and supportive of us in making the decision and then moving my father-in-law. His care on the unit was excellent - we cannot thank the staff enough. Sadly, his condition has progressed further and we have had to move him to a home that can provide nursing care. Again, they were very supportive of us in the decision and the move. We are very grateful to them for this. We have been fortunate that space was available in a home in the same group - minimising the administration and speeding the process. The Melbourn Springs staff were only concerned about what was best for him at all times.
Thank you, Tim, for sharing your experience during such a challenging time for your family. Our dedication to prioritising what was best for you and your father-in-law speaks volumes about our commitment. It's wonderful that the move within the same group made things smoother for everyone. Wishing you and your family all the best and thank you for acknowledging the thoughtful care we provided.
My mum has recently moved to Barchester Melbourn Springs and we couldn't be happier with her care. The cheerful, friendly, helpful staff have made all the difference to her overall experience of having to move away from her own home. The care team have been wonderful, there are always a variety of activities on offer, the food is good and plentiful and the overall environment is clean and welcoming.
Thank you for sharing your lovely feedback about your mum's experience at Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home. It's clear the care team is making a real difference and it's wonderful to see that recognised. Wishing you lots of happiness!
Staff pleasant and supportive in arranging weeks respite at Barchester Melbourn Springs Care Home for my mother. Unfortunately, she did not enjoy the experience and wanted to return home. She stayed only 5 days in the dementia care unit.
Thanks for your review, we're sorry to see we didn't meet your expectations during your mother's short stay with us, we appreciate it can take loved ones a few days to settle in a new care environment. As your mother wasn't in the home for long, we'd like to understand your ratings a little bit...
Excellent service, my aunt is happy, healthy and comfortable. Melbourn Springs is clean, tidy, the staff are friendly, efficient, seem very skilled, and are welcoming when I visit... My aunt is well cared for.
As a family, we feel the care provided by the caregiver and the care assistant is above and beyond our expectations.
We are very impressed with the effort the activities team put into organising entertainment for the residents. My grandmother has taken part in many games, watched some fabulous performances from singers and dancers and enjoyed trips out on the bus many times.
We do feel there is often a breakdown in communication from management and senior staff which often causes confusion and can be very frustrating.
Friendly, kind, caring, helpful, approachable and respectful. Just some of the qualities of the management and staff at Melbourn Springs. Taking on board any issues or concerns raised and acting efficiently and effectively to deal with them. A lovely group of residents that interact well together and with the staff.
