Hello, my name is Vimu and I am the Acting General Manager at Melbourn Springs.

I joined Barchester in May 2020 when I was a student at the University of South Wales. I worked at Bryn Ivor Lodge in Cardiff whilst I was studying for an MSC in Management. After I had graduated in September 2023, I transferred to Melbourn Springs.

I am really passionate about providing quality care and making sure that our residents have the best possible life here at Melbourn Springs.

Hello, my name is Nevin, and I am the Deputy Manager at Melbourn Springs Care Home.

I began my journey with Barchester in 2020 and have been proud to grow within the company. Hello, my name is Lesley and I am the Administration Manager at Melbourn Springs.

I joined Barchester in 2022, and I am here to assist with all aspects attached to the administration of the home.

I have previous experience working in this role and always enjoyed working closely with people and supporting the residents, their families and friends, the staff and members of the public. Helo my name is Natalie and I love helping people who are looking for care. My role is all about offering advice, guiding families through their options, and making sure everyone feels supported every step of the way. I also work closely with our local community, building connections and helping people feel welcome at Melbourn Springs.

What I enjoy most about my job is seeing the difference a little guidance and reassurance can make for families and residents. Every day brings new opportunities to help, connect, and make our home a warm, caring place for everyone.

My name is Uvaraj Nachimuthu, but everyone calls me Raj, and I am proud to be the Head Chef at Melbourn Springs Care Home. I first joined Melbourn Springs two years ago as a Kitchen Assistant, and through hard work and passion for cooking, I’ve grown into my current role.

Cooking has always been my love, and I am dedicated to providing our residents with high-quality, nutritious, and delicious meals every day. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they enjoy the food is the most rewarding part of my job.

Hello, my name is Alison and I am the Head of Housekeeping here at Melbourn Springs.

I started my career with Barchester when Melbourn Springs first opened in 2020 and have progressed to Head of Housekeeping. I pride myself on leading a team to keep our lovely home looking clean and sparkly every day.

The highlight of my day is always speaking to residents about their lives and also keeping them updated on my allotment.

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am a Team Leader here at Melbourn Springs. I joined Barchester at the end of 2023. I started my career in caring for the elderly many years ago and always enjoy spending time with our residents and like to ensure they receive the highest quality of care. I aim to make Melbourn Springs a home away from home for our residents and to help support them with their daily routines.

I have been with the company since permanently since August 2024 having previously been working at a bank member of staff.

My ultimate goal at Melbourn Springs is to ensure that every resident gets the most out of every day and I strive to ensure that I am doing all I can do every day for the benefit of the residents.

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am a Senior Care Assistant here at Melbourn Springs.

I have worked in the care of elderly people for many years now and joined Barchester in 2021.

Melbourn Springs is unlike any other place that I have worked previously and the standards and training are absolutely exceptional. I thoroughly enjoy working alongside the team here at the home to provide the best care for our residents every single day!

Hello, my name is Deirdre Rogers and I am the Resident Ambassador at Melbourn Springs.

I am a volunteer and my role is to support the residents and their relatives and act as their voice. I listen to their compliments, concerns and suggestions and share this information with Magda, the General Manager, on a regular basis. I also attend the meetings for Residents and Relatives.

My stepmother was a resident of the Elstar community for three years, having moved here in December 2021.

I am retired and was previously employed as an Ofsted Early Years Inspector and Team Manager for 20 years. I have also worked as a volunteer setting up many local community projects as well as a befriender for Age UK.

I aim to ensure that a high standard of care for all residents is maintained and continuously improved.
