Excellent facilities and care. By far the best care home I have ever seen. It has to be seen to be believed! Far better than other care homes in the area and about the same price. More like a very up market hotel than a care home. I was worried it might feel too "corporate" but it is so friendly and
caring so my worries were unfounded. Staff always on hand to answer queries and concerns. No set visiting hours so convenient. Easy parking. I could not have chosen better for my friend's stay there. She was able to return home to her husband but I personally would have been very happy for her to have stayed there. By the way, food delicious and lots of choices!
Reply from Daniel Ridgeway, Home Admissions Advisor at Earlsfield CourtThank you for your kind words. Feedback such as this is invaluable to others when considering care options locally. It was a pleasure to care for your friend and for her to be part of our Earlsfield family. We are glad she could return home to be with her husband. I have passed on your feedback to the team.

On the whole, all the staff was attentive and willing to listen to residents to ensure their care was delivered to their requirements. The home overall has a very friendly homely feel. Residents are encouraged to join in activities and are never made to feel they must abide by strict routines. My one
small negative is the staff at times seems a bit sparse.

My Godmother has been in Earlsfield Court for over 3 years now and I visit regularly.
The facilities are 5-star and beyond. In fact, if you walk in through the doors, there is no sense that you are in a Care Home at all. Every room and all the shared spaces are pristine and elegant and the kitchen
is seriously impressive! My Godmother has dementia, so the level of care and the range of activities are the most important things to focus on. I always feel that she will be well looked after and I know that I will get a call if there are any concerns. There are a wide range of daily activities and my lovely aunt attends every one! These range from sing-alongs, board games, drumming, dancing, arts and crafts, the list is endless. When I speak with staff I feel that they really know her and understand her and, as I live 65 miles away, that is comforting indeed!

My nan went to Earlsfield Court for respite following a stay in hospital. The care was amazing, Nan said the food was delicious and there were plenty of activities to keep her busy. By the end of her stay, she was well-rested and ready to return home.

I want to thank eveyone at Earlsfield Court for all the love, care, attention and respect that you showed to my mum while she was with you in the last six months of her life. She really loved it here and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting her at Earlsfield Court. My mum spoke of all of you with such fondness
and it is very reassuring to me that she spent her time here with people who so clearly cared for her deeply. Thank you.

One of the deciding factors in choosing Earlsfield Court as a care home for my sister was the lack of unpleasant smells which we had experienced on visiting other care homes. Unfortunately, there is now a very unpleasant smell of excrement on exiting the lift on the second floor where my sister is situated,
which can be quite nauseating at times. This appears to be emanating from the right-hand side of the corridor.
Reply from Yetty Adepegba, Interim General Manager at Earlsfield CourtThank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear that you perceived an odour on your visit, this is not our standard and would have been a one off. We do welcome feedback and would encourage you to see the General Manager in the first instance so that we can respond in a timely manner. I have walked the floor and there is no malodour. We continue to monitor this daily. Once again, thanks for your feedback.

A member of the management team facilitated the use of the first-floor lounge for the reception we held after my mother's Memorial Service. He couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions and arrangements for the smooth running of the event. On the day another member of staff assisted with the reception.
She went above and beyond to make the occasion as stress-free as possible for us. I cannot praise them highly enough.

We could not look after our friend due to my husband's major operation and a long trip to New Zealand coming up. We needed a quality care home and after much looking, we chose Earlsfield Court. We and the other POA were and are very blessed with our choices. Earlsfield Court is close to where we live
which is good.

The moment we walked through the reception doors we knew this was the right place. The General Manager and Admissions Manager were very nice and helpful. We were shown around the whole of the building and ended up in the private family dining area for a very informative talk. We were very impressed
with the size of the rooms and how beautifully decorated they were. Overall we are very happy with the place and would recommend it to anybody.

Choosing Earlsfield Court was one of the best decisions that my brothers and I have made for mum! We now have total peace of mind knowing that she is well cared for by all the staff who treat her with the utmost care and dignity. Everyone is super friendly, always gives her encouragement with her ability,
and includes her in all activities and social gatherings. She is warm, safe, well fed and watered! Most of all she is looked after by all! 10/10

My overall experience was very good since I was only there for 1 week, so this short period was for me not long enough to get used to a good routine and for the staff also. I was disappointed in the evening meals, for my age group and others all we needed was good well cooked English dishes, not 'fancy
dishes'. However I understand from the staff the chef is moving on, so a new one may have different ideas, this is not a complaint, it's an observation! Breakfast and lunchtimes good.

When we first arrived, it was like walking into a five-star hotel (my daughter's words). The homes admission advisor was very friendly and helpful. Had a coffee, I can't go anywhere without a cuppa at the end of my journey. Suddenly I saw my suitcase being taken away, to have my name 'sewn ' into my
clothes. After the coffee break, the admission advisor showed us to my room which was a single en suite. I personally didn't see any reason for a larger room.
At dinner, I met some lovely people, four people per table. For the next two weeks, we had laughter every mealtime. After breakfast, I would go downstairs to the main entrance (because I am a nosey person) and met other permanent residents, have a coffee, of course and a natter. If you are someone like me, talking to people is no problem. I have to admit that I was a little sad to leave, but as I only have my pension to live on will now have to save my money for my next visit.

My mother celebrated her 92nd birthday and we wanted her to have a special day. We booked the private dining room and bought in food and drinks. The staff were very helpful getting the room ready and decorating the room with birthday banners. The staff popped in to wish my mum a Happy Birthday and she
loved the day. At the end we tried to tidy the room but were told it would be done for us. Thank you all and you helped Mum to enjoy and have a great day.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.819)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.819) out of 10 for Earlsfield Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 53 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 53 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.819 for Earlsfield Court is calculated as follows: ( (517 Excellents x 5) + (92 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 619 Ratings = 4.819
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Earlsfield Court is based on 53 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 registered maximum number of service users is 14.4, which has been reached with 53 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: General Manager

About My Role:
As General Manager at Earlsfield, my priority is to ensure that every resident receives the highest standard of care in a safe, welcoming, and truly homely environment. I oversee all aspects of the home—from care delivery and staffing to operational and financial management—with one clear focus: ensuring residents live happy, fulfilled lives with dignity and respect.
I am passionate about building a supportive, compassionate team that genuinely cares for every individual who lives here. I believe that families should feel confident and reassured when they choose Earlsfield, knowing that their loved ones are not only well looked after, but truly valued.

My Experience:
With over four decades of experience in Health and Social Care, I bring both clinical expertise and leadership to my role. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1981 and have dedicated my career to the care of older people—working as a ward sister in the NHS, a university lecturer specialising in gerontology, and later as Deputy Chief Nurse in an Acute NHS Trust. I also held the position of Professional Head of Nursing in a Mental Health Trust.

Since moving into the independent care sector, I have spent the past 14 years as a CQC Registered Manager, continuing my lifelong commitment to delivering exceptional care for older people.

A Little About Me:
Outside of work, I’ve been happily married for 45 years and have grown-up children who keep me proud. My hobbies are varied—from baking, pickling, and reading to writing poetry, gaming on my Xbox, and immersing myself in sci-fi and fantasy worlds (Star Wars included!).
There’s never enough time in the day—but I always make time for what matters most: the people I care for, and the families who trust us.

Whether overseeing care plans, supporting families, or helping staff grow in their roles, everything I do is guided by one goal: ensuring your loved one is cared for with the same compassion and attention we would give our own family.

About My Role:
As Home Admissions Advisor at Earlsfield Court, I’m here to support you and your loved one every step of the way when considering a move into care. I understand how emotional and overwhelming this decision can feel, and I aim to make the process as smooth, informative, and reassuring as possible.

From your first enquiry through to move-in day and beyond, I’m here to provide clear information, compassionate guidance, and a listening ear—ensuring you always feel supported and confident in the choices you're making.

I genuinely believe that what makes Earlsfield Court so special is the people who live there. The care team here is exceptional, and it’s a privilege to see, every day, the positive difference they make in the lives of our residents. This truly is a place where individuals are cared for with dignity, kindness, and respect—and where families can feel peace of mind.

My Experience:
I’ve worked in the care sector for several years, most recently in Eastbourne with another care provider. Before that, I spent over 15 years in hospitality and independent living—always in roles where providing excellent service and supporting people has been at the heart of what I do.

This background has given me a strong foundation in understanding what families need and value during life’s important transitions.

A Little About Me:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I believe in the importance of strong relationships—both in and out of the workplace—and feel incredibly proud to be part of a care home that feels like a true community.

What I Do:
My role is to warmly welcome new residents and their families to Earlsfield Court, supporting them through what can often be a significant and emotional decision. I’m here to offer guidance and reassurance, making the transition into care as smooth and stress-free as possible.

What makes Earlsfield Court special is more than just the building itself—it’s the people. Our home has a genuine family feel, with a team of compassionate staff, freshly prepared meals, and a vibrant lifestyle programme, including regular minibus outings and daily activities. There's always something going on here, and it’s a joy to see our residents smiling, thriving, and making new memories every day.

My Experience:
With over 27 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, including 18 years in the care sector, I bring both professional knowledge and heartfelt passion to my role. I’ve supported several luxury care homes throughout my career, helping families find the right environment for their loved ones.

I also previously ran my own home help and care consultancy service, which gave me first-hand insight into the daily needs and preferences of older adults. That experience has deeply shaped how I approach my work today—with empathy, attentiveness, and a real understanding of what matters most to families.

A Little About Me:
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active by going to the gym, spending quality time with friends and family, and walking along the seafront with my dog, Bobby. I love good food, live music, and making the most of life’s little pleasures—something I’m always happy to share in conversations with residents and families alike.
