My overall experience was very good since I was only there for 1 week, so this short period was for me not long enough to get used to a good routine and for the staff also. I was disappointed in the evening meals, for my age group and others all we needed was good well cooked English dishes, not 'fancy dishes'. However I understand from the staff the chef is moving on, so a new one may have different ideas, this is not a complaint, it's an observation! Breakfast and lunchtimes good.

When we first arrived, it was like walking into a five-star hotel (my daughter's words). The homes admission advisor was very friendly and helpful. Had a coffee, I can't go anywhere without a cuppa at the end of my journey. Suddenly I saw my suitcase being taken away, to have my name 'sewn ' into my clothes. After the coffee break, the admission advisor showed us to my room which was a single en suite. I personally didn't see any reason for a larger room.

At dinner, I met some lovely people, four people per table. For the next two weeks, we had laughter every mealtime. After breakfast, I would go downstairs to the main entrance (because I am a nosey person) and met other permanent residents, have a coffee, of course and a natter. If you are someone like me, talking to people is no problem. I have to admit that I was a little sad to leave, but as I only have my pension to live on will now have to save my money for my next visit.

Very caring staff and a warm friendly atmosphere. The private dining room is a lovely idea and we had an excellent lunch for the family, a lovely day. Even bought our dog in to see my mother-in-law in the garden which was a real treat for her. The whole family are delighted that she is happy and being cared for so well.

My mother celebrated her 92nd birthday and we wanted her to have a special day. We booked the private dining room and bought in food and drinks. The staff were very helpful getting the room ready and decorating the room with birthday banners. The staff popped in to wish my mum a Happy Birthday and she loved the day. At the end we tried to tidy the room but were told it would be done for us. Thank you all and you helped Mum to enjoy and have a great day.

I attended for a week respite care. The surroundings are beautiful with great facilities. My room was very spacious with a good-sized bed. The staff were very caring and efficient. There were plenty of opportunities for keeping busy with a cinema, pianist and daily activities I particularly enjoyed the cheese and wine evening.

I don't know where to start, this home is just utterly amazing! I cannot thank the staff enough for looking after my mother, who came here for respite after having a fall at home.
As soon as you enter this beautiful home, you are always greeted by a friendly staff member. It was so lovely to see the management getting involved with all the residents, especially when the entertainment was on, instead of being behind a closed door doing paperwork.
I cannot fault this home at all; it's beautiful, the food is amazing and the entertainment is mind-blowing. Even my ten year old daughter was allowed to join in and she loved it so much she wanted to stay!

Finally, even though this home is outstanding, it wouldn't be without the dedicated, hard-working carers that work here. Earlsfield Court must be so proud of them and they were simply the best! Thank you so much.

As a family, we looked at over twenty care homes between us all. We chose this one because of the kind and caring team, the amazing food, and the fact there is always something going on. My step-mum loves it there. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew it was the right place for her. We were made to feel so welcome by the home admissions advisors, who couldn't do enough for us. We were nervous about making a long-term decision, but we all agree it's the best decision we've ever made. We just wish we had made it sooner, she's in great health and is just loving life again. We're so pleased and we cant thank the team enough.

I never expected my mother to be resettled into a care home. She has the best 24-hour care at Earlsfield. Treated with dignity, amazing supportive staff and management. Wonderful food, cleanliness is brilliant and housekeeping great. She is offered activities on a regular basis, unfortunately, my mother forgets this. I am so pleased we found a ground-floor room with a lovely garden she loves, her walks around the garden are less at the moment due to her general deterioration and she is very happy at Earlsfield Court. Thank you.

We inquired with Earlsfield Court earlier this year and we really loved their concept of providing a secure comfortable home for clients and in the same manner being able to assist clients to be socially active by means of organising programs such as having cinema nights, excursions and providing activities designed to cognitively stimulate client interest. The well-thought-out programs and the presentation of the environment that creates an ambience that encourages curiosity made us choose them over other care homes. When the right time came to transfer my mother-in-law into their care, we received a very enthusiastic reception; the Earlsfield team provided great assistance and went beyond our expectations to make for an easy transition for my mother-in-law to settle into her new home. We appreciate the generosity of their time and accommodating our needs in preparation for the move, which made a huge difference to our experience. Highly recommended, the Earlsfield team genuinely cares!

Arriving at Earlsfield Court from hospital for a 2-week rest and respite I felt very welcomed and was shown into a lovely ensuite bedroom with door to patio and garden view. The medication I arrived with I handed to the staff to be administered by them regularly during my stay. The staff were always on hand if needed or just to chat. The menus offered an amazing choice of food. I found the residents very friendly to chat with and joined in with their flower arranging, playing cards, or just sitting and chatting, or watching a film in the afternoon in the comfy cinema. Staff always seemed to be on hand to assist with walking in the garden, or just to sit and pass the time of day to anyone on their own. Thank you, Earlsfield and I really felt the benefit of my stay with you.

Karen PainJob Title:General Manager
About My Role:
As General Manager at Earlsfield, my priority is to ensure that every resident receives the highest standard of care in a safe, welcoming, and truly homely environment. I oversee all aspects of the home—from care delivery and staffing to operational and financial management—with one clear focus: ensuring residents live happy, fulfilled lives with dignity and respect.

I am passionate about building a supportive, compassionate team that genuinely cares for every individual who lives here. I believe that families should feel confident and reassured when they choose Earlsfield, knowing that their loved ones are not only well looked after, but truly valued.

My Experience:

With over four decades of experience in Health and Social Care, I bring both clinical expertise and leadership to my role. I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1981 and have dedicated my career to the care of older people—working as a ward sister in the NHS, a university lecturer specialising in gerontology, and later as Deputy Chief Nurse in an Acute NHS Trust. I also held the position of Professional Head of Nursing in a Mental Health Trust.

Since moving into the independent care sector, I have spent the past 14 years as a CQC Registered Manager, continuing my lifelong commitment to delivering exceptional care for older people.

A Little About Me:
Outside of work, I’ve been happily married for 45 years and have grown-up children who keep me proud. My hobbies are varied—from baking, pickling, and reading to writing poetry, gaming on my Xbox, and immersing myself in sci-fi and fantasy worlds (Star Wars included!).

There’s never enough time in the day—but I always make time for what matters most: the people I care for, and the families who trust us.

Dom Blas
Dom BlasJob Title:Deputy Manager
What I Do:

As Deputy Manager at Earlsfield Court Care Home, my role is to support the smooth daily running of the home and ensure every resident receives the highest standard of care, dignity, and respect. I work closely with our compassionate care team to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where residents feel truly valued and at home. Whether I’m reviewing care plans, supporting families through transitions, or mentoring staff, my focus is always on delivering person-centred care. I love interacting with both residents and their families, and I’m passionate about improving the quality of life for those we look after, treating every individual as I would my own loved ones.

My Experience:
I have always worked in care and bring a practical and supernumerary background to my role. In 2007, I achieved my MSc in Physiotherapy, which complements my hands-on experience in a residential setting. I also hold a Level 3 qualification in Dementia Care Practice, along with a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. This combination of education and real-world experience allows me to lead with both knowledge and empathy, ensuring the highest standards of care for your loved one.

I love innovation and technology in care.

About Me:

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling and mountaineering, with a dream of one day visiting the beautiful region of Kathmandu. I’m married, and a proud father of two, and I bring the same values I hold dear at home into my professional life. At Earlsfield Court, we understand that choosing a care home is a big decision. Please be reassured that we are here to offer not only expert care but also genuine compassion, kindness, and support every step of the way.

About My Role:

As Home Admissions Advisor at Earlsfield Court, I’m here to support you and your loved one every step of the way when considering a move into care. I understand how emotional and overwhelming this decision can feel, and I aim to make the process as smooth, informative, and reassuring as possible.

From your first enquiry through to move-in day and beyond, I’m here to provide clear information, compassionate guidance, and a listening ear—ensuring you always feel supported and confident in the choices you're making.

I genuinely believe that what makes Earlsfield Court so special is the people who live there. The care team here is exceptional, and it’s a privilege to see, every day, the positive difference they make in the lives of our residents. This truly is a place where individuals are cared for with dignity, kindness, and respect—and where families can feel peace of mind.

My Experience:

I’ve worked in the care sector for several years, most recently in Eastbourne with another care provider. Before that, I spent over 15 years in hospitality and independent living—always in roles where providing excellent service and supporting people has been at the heart of what I do.

This background has given me a strong foundation in understanding what families need and value during life’s important transitions.

What I Do:

My role is to warmly welcome new residents and their families to Earlsfield Court, supporting them through what can often be a significant and emotional decision. I’m here to offer guidance and reassurance, making the transition into care as smooth and stress-free as possible.

What makes Earlsfield Court special is more than just the building itself—it’s the people. I also previously ran my own home help and care consultancy service, which gave me first-hand insight into the daily needs and preferences of older adults. That experience has deeply shaped how I approach my work today—with empathy, attentiveness, and a real understanding of what matters most to families.

A Little About Me:

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active by going to the gym, spending quality time with friends and family, and walking along the seafront with my dog, Bobby.
