The staff have recently gone over and above to ensure my mother could be a part of her granddaughter's wedding even though she was unable to attend. They helped her make a little video played during the speeches, arranged a live link so she could watch the ceremony and organised a fabulous wedding breakfast
so that mum had a special day too. The whole family really appreciated the effort that went into helping mum be a part of the day. It is indicative of the care given to residents, at a level which is sympathetic to their varied diagnoses, to ensure their lives are as happy and fulfilled as possible.
Reply from Jaime Jukes, Reviews Team at Invicta CourtThank you very much for your kind words, the team are incredibly touched. It was our pleasure to be able to do this for Mum.

An exceptionally caring, clean comfortable, safe, happy home for Mum.
I feel that all staff at Invicta are now part of the family - we are all one team doing whatever we can to ensure Mum is happy, fulfilled and safe.
This extends beyond her day-to-day needs including welcoming family members to
join in activities such as cinema evenings, tea parties, and trips, and arranging invaluable information events for family such as financial planning, and living with dementia advice.
We were understandably nervous about moving Mum to Invicta - but have never once regretted the decision.

I was surprised that no member of senior staff visited on Christmas Day/Boxing Day/New Year's Eve!
These are not complaints, just suggestions but as a very low-sighted person, a chair at the basin would have been a great help.
As my room only had doors, no window could be opened at night.
Table napkins
were not always available.
Reply from Samantha Debenham, Reviews Team at Invicta CourtThank you for taking the time to write a review for Invicta Court and for your feedback. We would like to reassure you that our deputy manager was working in the home on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and apologise for the inconvenience if you felt there were not enough table napkins available during your stay. During this time, we were experiencing some issues with our tumble dryers which we are pleased to say has since been resolved. The ground floor rooms have door access to a patio however these rooms do also have a window and wondered if perhaps you are instead referring to the safety restrictions on how wide these can open. Our care is very tailored to individual needs and a chair at the basin wouldn't necessarily benefit every resident but we could, of course, have provided one if requested. We hope you would consider Invicta Court for your future care needs however please do feel free to speak to the home manager directly to address any concerns you may have.

Invicta Court is an outstanding care home. The facilities are excellent, and there are plenty of thoughtful and imaginative activities available, but it is the staff who deserve special mention. My mother has been a resident on the nursing floor for two years, and the care she has received has been
exemplary. Everyone on the management team is kind and efficient, but the key thing is the carers themselves. They really do care.
Reply from Jaime Jukes, Reviews Team at Invicta CourtThank you very much for your wonderful feedback, in particular regarding our carers. Each and every one of them work tirelessly to provide the very best care and support to the residents of Invicta Court and they are the backbone of the home.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to one individual who works at Invicta Court Care Home who in my opinion, excels above the rest. I wouldn’t normally single out an individual in an organisation which is in a different league from the competition and has set the bar firmly at the top!
However, I must refer to the Customer Relations Manager, whom I believe is one of the reasons that Invicta Court is where it is right now, at the forefront of care homes in this country.
It is for this reason that I would like to publicly commend her for her professional approach and business efficiency and I am comfortably instilled with confidence, knowing that my mother is in the very best care home.
This particular member of staff is truly ‘One of a kind’ and a credit to this establishment and to Care UK.
Please extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to them.
Truly a unique gem!
Thank you.

I was invited by the team to join my husband for a Valentine's Day lunch. This was beyond my expectations. The coffee area was beautifully decorated and individual tables for two were dressed with flowers and hearts. A delicious lunch was served by the staff. It was a most enjoyable occasion. My husband
has been a resident in Invicta Court for seven months and he has settled very happily. The care he receives is excellent.

Mum spent almost 4 years at Invicta Court having transferred from another nursing home. It's modern, with excellent facilities and lovely rooms. It feels spacious and tranquil, where you can engage in activities if the mood takes you or opt for peace and quiet in your own room.
Whilst the facilities
are extremely good that is not what makes a place like Invicta Court. It is the staff that counts and they were brilliant - caring, compassionate and genuinely helpful. Life was not without its problems but these were small and generally resolved easily. There was lots of laughter and Mum had her favorite carers. Just the fact that there were a number of staff that were present throughout Mum's time there tells you that there is not a high staff turnover. It's a well-run, professional and happy environment and they contributed significantly in making the last few years of Mum's life as comfortable and happy as possible.
I have no reservations in thoroughly recommending Invicta Court.

My partner moved to Invicta Court in August 2023 in the dementia suite.
I was very satisfied with the care he received. All aspects of his stay were good to excellent, accommodation, cleanliness/hygiene, food and the restaurant. The cafe and pleasant garden and views made it easy to socialise.
Staff
are the most important part of care and I commend virtually all I met. There was a good balance of kindness and professionalism, raising issues was quick, responses were fast and effective, there is in-house training and performance incentives, company and staff are committed to an excellence programme, and regular meetings give residents/families a voice.
There is a full programme of imaginative activities and staff worked hard to engage those with dementia in their programme as well.
My partner died at the home, his good care continued to the end of his life and the family were shown every consideration and warmth.
Care is expensive, but if affordable choosing Invicta Court is a no-brainer.

Our mother has now lived in her new home for over 14 months. The care and support she receives from Invicta is second to none. All of the staff from the admin to the carers are professional and supportive of all of the resident's needs. There is a genuine show of affection from many of the staff to
the residents. The facilities and the events run by Invicta are enjoyed not only by the residents but also by visiting family and friends. We feel so lucky to have placed our mother in such a caring environment.

My father passed away in November 2022, having been on the residential suite since May. At the start, we visited several homes. Invicta Court was by far the best one for him and was his preference. From the very start, the attention and support was second to none. Be it a question of lifestyle, medical,
or general day-to-day support, nothing was too much trouble.
Apart from five-star surroundings, what impressed me (and was most important) was the excellence of the staff. The willingness to go the extra mile, to offer flexibility when needed, to empathy shown at all times and the foresight (of those on Lady Baillie suite) to anticipate a need and provide the answer, whatever it may have been, was always evident and very much appreciated.
When the end was near, the stops that were pulled out to ensure that Dad could return to Invicta were nothing short of phenomenal. Words cannot express our appreciation for that and we cannot thank you enough.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and support provided by the team at Invicta Court Care Home. Making the decision to move my mum there has truly been one of the best choices I've ever made. From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was evident that the staff were dedicated
and compassionate professionals. My mum faced numerous health challenges, but the team at Invicta Court went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being.
Their level of care was truly remarkable, and they treated my mum with the utmost respect and kindness.
Thank you for everything you've done to make my mum's time there so special. You've made a difficult situation much more manageable, and for that, I am truly thankful.

My sister and I had reservations about moving my mother to a care home but had little alternative due to the need for closer supervision. Invicta Court were extremely helpful and thorough right from the time we decided to apply for a place. All the staff were extremely attentive and friendly when my
mother visited and this has continued to be the norm. My mother has suffered a couple of medical emergencies since entering Invicta Court and these have been dealt with professionally and with kindness and care. The environment is very pleasant and well thought out and there are plenty of activities and every facility that my mother needs. I have been particularly impressed by the staff who seem to have a strong community spirit working together on activities and providing support outside normal working hours. I am happy that my mother is now in an environment where she can have the best quality of life for her age and ability.

My mother was a resident at Invicta Court from January 23 to April 23. During that time, the care she received was excellent, and she frequently commented on how lucky we were to find such a lovely place and how caring the staff were that they could not do enough to make her comfortable. Their response
to her needs, both physical and medical, could not be faulted.
My wife worked in the care sector for eight years and said that she had not known any other residence to have such good facilities and staff.
We have recommended Invicta Care to friends who are also very pleased with the care their relative is receiving. I will continue to highly recommend them to anyone who needs assistance for a relative.

Everyone always gave that little bit extra, and my father was made to feel special. The support that

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.958)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.958) out of 10 for Invicta Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 54 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 54 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Invicta Court is calculated as follows: ( (611 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 637 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Invicta Court is based on 54 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 75 registered maximum number of service users is 15, which has been reached with 54 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

I was keen to join Care UK because it is a well-respected organisation with impressive values and a strong portfolio of homes around the country. I joined Invicta Court at the beginning of its journey as I was keen to be involved in commissioning a new home and shaping the standards of care, right from the start.

My favourite part of the day at our Maidstone care home is when I get the chance to talk to the residents. Listening to their life experiences is fascinating, and by getting to know the people we care for, we’re better able to provide person-centred, high quality care.

I’m enjoying working with the team to build Invicta Court’s reputation for great care, to enable residents to live their lives to the full, and to make residents’ wishes a reality.

At Invicta Court I'm also the Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Champion for the home. It's my job to establish and maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness so that residents, colleagues and visitors keep safe.
