I really can't express in words how truly thankful I am to all the staff at Dovehaven. My Dad has been cared for with dignity, compassion and kindness. All staff embraced his character and sense of humour, tailoring support to meet his needs. The person-centred approach to the care given was outstanding, with carers really going the extra mile and being genuinely lovely and caring in nature. He had his favourites, (you know who you all are) who he shared lots of fun and laughter with. We will forever be grateful for the care, tenderness and support given to both my Dad and I at a very difficult time. A massive thank you to you all.
Thank you for your kind words. We are honoured to have cared for your Dad and are grateful for the trust you placed in us. Your feedback means so much to our team and will be shared with the team.
My overall experience of the home was good from start to finish. As soon as I walked into visit my family member I was greeted by Sinead, she was pleasant and welcoming and showed me to my friend. On the way round to her, I was greeted by other staff members who just made the start of my first time being here nice. My friend looked calm and happy. Something I haven't seen in a long time. So content. Michelle the admin (I remember her name as she walked me out and helped me down the steps). I would recommend this care home to anyone. Absolutely amazing.
Thank you for your kind review. We're really pleased to hear your experience was positive from the start and that you felt so welcomed by Sinead and the Dovehaven Grove team. It's especially lovely to know your friend is calm and happy. We really appreciate your recommendation.
All the staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They do an amazing job caring for my dad. They have been brilliant over the months he has been here, especially this month, when he required hospitalisation. My dad has connected well with the staff and I am confident and happy in his care needs being met.
Thank you for your kind words and lovely review, its great to hear that the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful to your dad and family.
My mum Alice has been in there 3 years now. I have not got a bad word to say about Dovehaven Grove. The staff are excellent, they can not do enough for you, the food is very good.
Thank you for your kind words and lovely review, its great to hear that you have had a positive experience at Dovehaven Grove and that your mum is happy.
My review is related to the excellent treatment of my husband since he has been in dovehaven, staff are always friendly, my husband suffers from Lewy body dementia, he is very happy and content, always cared for, well fed, if I ever have a concern it is always taken seriously and sorted, I love to see my husband at least twice a week, as a 75 year old I do have health issue of my own, if I can't get in I can face time the home and have a face to face call with my husband which benefits us both, I would recommend dovehaven grove to anyone needing to place a loved one into a care home,
Thank you so much for your lovely words and heartfelt review. Its great to hear your husband is happy and content.
Recently I needed some advice and management was the first to offer their guidance.
Hanna an Samy reassured me I could contact them or come and see them whenever required and they would be happy to help.
Thank you so much for your kind words and lovely review. Its great to hear that our team at Dovehaven Grove have been so welcoming and supportive.
On entering, we where advised and shown how to log in, then a male, presumed work there as he had no uniform on escorted us to the lift and then to the room, the bedroom did not resemble anything like the photos, did not see any members of staff, our friend asked if we would like a drink, she wasn't sure where to go, no staff in sight, on leaving a lady who we had been told was a resident escorted us back to the lift and entered a code, had she not been there we would have had no idea, and the person who took us in the lift never explained about needing a code, again no staff about, not a good visit, sad to see residents sat in the passage way, one of which was desperately asking for help, again no one came, its sad to now see our dear friend now living in this environment.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your visit to Dovehaven Grove fell short of what you expected, and we appreciate you raising these concerns. We understand how upsetting it must have been to witness what you describe, particularly when...
My grandmother has recently entered the home as she can't manage at home, the staff have gone above and beyond for her and all of us as a family, the home has a very positive atmosphere, the manager has always had time for us with anything we need to discuss I would highly recommend this home to anyone amazing!
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear that your grandmother and family feel supported. Our team is dedicated to providing the best care, and your kind words are appreciated.
I recently visited a friend here and the staff were all so welcoming. Staff are pleasant and happy to assist as and when. Food appears lovely and served beautifully. I would recommend this home to any one as it really is a home from a home. Beautiful environment. Beautiful staff and and a lovely manager.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased to hear that our team at Dovehaven Grove are welcoming, pleasant and happy to assist as and when. Hearing that our food served in the home is lovely and served beautifully means so much to us. Thank you for recommending Dovehaven Grove.
This is an awful place. The day of admission was absolutely awful, a complete disaster from start to finish. Incompetent area manager. It took ages to get in - you needed to ring the bell multiple times. They lost a load of Mum's belongings. It was always understaffed (although the staff that I saw were all nice and competent enough). The food was brought in in plastic trays and reheated. One time they had a virus/bug in the home and they let us in without telling us until we'd been in the home for about half an hour. I had to constantly ring/email them to send me an invoice. Avoid.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how important it is to feel confident in the care provided. Since your experience, we have welcomed a new home manager to Dovehaven Grove who is dedicated to making changes and ensuring the highest standards of care and support are met.
Our Dad was at Dovehaven for the past 4 months. The Management and their staff are efficient, kind, happy, welcoming, and friendly and make a great team. Nothing is too much, staff always went over and above. Food, Diet, and Nutrition were excellent, attention to detail was given to the diabetic's intake, the home was clean and modern and the stimulating activities were very varied. Dad was treated with dignity at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Dovehaven Grove, a big thank you from our family.
Thank you for your kind words, it is heartwarming and very much appreciated.
Mum has been a permanent resident since April of this year. She has settled in really well and she is extremely well cared for. She is a difficult character but all the staff are wonderful with her and I can sleep at night knowing she is in a safe and loving environment. The home is lovely and clean and is a friendly, bright and airy place to be, from the communal areas to Mum's own bedroom. I would recommend Dovehaven Grove to anyone who needs additional care for a loved one.

Dovehaven is a fantastic home. I am so happy my mum is here. The staff are superb. The manager leads an exceptional care team. My mother is in no better place. Well done, Dovehaven Grove. One lady was fantastic when Mum came back from the hospital and made sure Mum was ok.

Dad spent twelve months in the home and the staff made Dad feel loved and at home. Towards the end of his life, the care he received was exceptional. The compassion and understanding shown exemplified what the home is all about. Although a difficult time for the family, nothing was too much trouble.
