This care home has turned around under new management. Permanent staff have also been a big positive move with carers and clients getting to know each other. More activities and a variety of activities is another plus. The staff seem happy and everyone is smiling. Any problems that crop up are dealt with quickly. There is now a feeling of coming home when visiting.
Many thanks for your kind words, positive comments.
My Mom has been a resident in Castlehill Inverness since December 2020,in the almost five years she has lived there she has received the very highest standard of both professional and compassionate care and as her son i have always felt well supported by both the young staff who care for my Mom as well as the management team
Dear Mark, Thank you for your review and lovely comments of care and support to mum and support from the team at Castlehill.
Care staff did not follow the care plan. He was not treated with dignity, respect or in accordance with his wishes/preferences. He was placed at risk of injury and was often in distress because staff did not appear to have the skills or knowledge to support him. Infection protection and control guidance was not followed. Staff practice and behaviours including that of management toward resident and myself as his legal representative did not align with professional codes of conduct. I had to involve adult support and protection. I complained to the care regulator regarding this and all of my complaints were upheld. There is currently an improvement notice served on the home.
I removed the resident and he is doing better.
From day 1 my sister was given the best of care - she was bedridden and could not speak but the staff excelled in catering to her every need and often anticipated what she wanted before we did. I have experience of other care homes in the area and this one is by far the most superior. Relatives are welcomed and so well looked after by every member of staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure for the team to care for your sister, and to meet you all.
The staff were wonderful at all times. Special thanks to nurses, carers, kitchen staff, receptionist, handyman, and management team.
A big thank you to a very professional caring and dedicated team.
Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to care for your sister.
From January 2023 - March 2024, my mum was in the care of Castlehill and throughout her time there, she was treated with great care and dignity. Every member of staff from domestics, kitchen, carers, nurses, activities, handymen and administration to management were great, friendly and very approachable. Days leading up to my mum passing, I received that same care and consideration. I will be forever grateful that my mum was a resident at Castlehill Care Home. She was very lucky to have been there with such lovely people.
Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to care for you all. Team Morar.
My husband and very good friend were in Castlehill and both were very well cared for, the staff were wonderful. The manager was superb.
Thank you for your lovely review. Was a pleasure to care for your husband and your lovely friend Team Castlehill
I cannot praise all the staff enough and in my opinion it is an extremely well-run establishment. Thank you to all the staff.
Team Castlehilll
My mother was in Castlehill Care Home for the past 2.5 years, her care was excellent during all that time. The manager and staff were cheerful, friendly, professional and easy to speak to if I had any questions regarding her well-being. She was treated with dignity and respect from when she arrived until the day they walked her out the door on her final journey. I honestly cannot recommend this care home highly enough.
Team Castlehill
The staff were just incredible through the entire process, from Grannie arriving, her care and after she passed. I will always remember being offered warm apple crumble when I had an emotional moment at the home. Thank you Castlehill Care Home.
Thank you so very much for your lovely words. We will never forget you or Granny, Team Castlehill.
My aunt experienced the best quality end-of-life care to the very finer details of the staff walking her from the home when she went to be at peace.
Thank you for your lovely comments, Team Castlehill were privileged to care for you all.
Excellent staff, very attentive. Treat residents with respect and dignity. Cannot praise them enough.
Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to look after your aunt. Take care, team Castlehill.
The staff at this care home are a team of people who really do care. Everyone, from the receptionist to the management team and everyone in between, has been friendly, caring and fantastic with my granddad.
Take care, team Castlehill.
The staff were helpful, caring and loving towards Mum during her time in Castlehill Care Home. They treated her with dignity and respect. Very homely.
Take care, team Castlehill.
When Mum moved in we could have done with more information (e.g. we got stuck inside when we stayed late visiting). Also, when phoning it was sometimes difficult to get someone to answer the phone. Sometimes asking for feedback was unsuccessful.
Take care, team Castlehill.
My mum received excellent care at Castlehill Care Home. The staff were wonderful with her, always ready to have a chat and laugh. In her final months, she was treated with respect and love. To us, as a family, everyone was very kind and supportive from the friendly welcome we got when we arrived to the caring staff on Mum's floor.
We miss you all.
Take care, Team Castlehill.
The care home is absolutely first-class. The decoration, furniture, facilities and cleanliness are out of this world. The activities coordinator who organises the residents' activities is wonderful, so helpful. She brings my mother-in-law's daily newspaper for her every day on her way into work. The senior nurse is so lovely and so approachable and you can see home much she cares about the residents. She is brilliant with my mother-in-law and you can easily see how much my mother-in-law likes her. All in all, the staff and management are all very caring and approachable.
It's a pleasure to care for your mother-in-law.
Take care.
Team Castlehill.
The amazing decor and varied range of foods were an additional bonus, as well as the visiting hairdresser each Monday.
The staff were always extremely professional and nothing was ever too much hassle. If you are looking for outstanding levels of care, this is a top choice.
A huge thank you to an amazing team of caring and dedicated professionals!
Take care.
Team Castlehill
I am demanding of standards and never once had to ask for something to be done better.
The care app was fantastic, especially during the restrictions. The peace of mind it gave me was very good.
The property and quality of furniture etc. was of the highest order.
Staff retention levels were very good in such a demanding sector. Well done to all at Castlehill. You should be proud of the service and care you give to residents and their family.
Take care.
Team Castlehill
Very friendly staff who tried to offer a positive experience, often in difficult circumstances of outbreaks of Covid.
