My husband has stayed at The Belmont for two weeks' respite and I cannot praise the management and staff enough for their kindness and care given to him. They welcomed myself and all my friends who visited and nothing was too much trouble.

In the time our Uncle has been here, he has come on in leaps and bounds walking much better and eating really well. The management and staff are all wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them and they take really good care of our Uncle. There are plenty of activities and they try to get everyone
involved. The food is lovely, and the surroundings and decor are beautiful.

Prior to Mom and Dad moving to The Belmont in Worcester, we visited two other private care homes in Droitwich. The other two have their good points but The Belmont surpassed our expectations. The Deputy Manager then, going back to January 2024. She handled the interview well. She reassured Dad about
accommodating his oxygen equipment properly and looking after Mom who has vascular Dementia.
The suite they have chosen is brightly lit because of the big windows. The staff keeps everything clean. The catering staff provide nutritious food on clean tables in the dining room. The laundry staff ensure that Mom and Dad’s clothes are properly washed and ironed. The care staff are pleasant and caring.
The Belmont has varied social programmes and the staff encourages everyone to join in. I am confident, that the lady as the new manager will succeed in running The Belmont effectively for the benefit of all the stakeholders.

Mum booked into The Belmont for respite initially then chose to stay there permanently. From our first visit, all staff were welcoming. The home is beautifully furnished. The bedrooms are large and have lovely furniture, as are the lounges and restaurants. Sadly, Mum was not there very long as she was
diagnosed with a terminal illness. We were kept up to date with her care and the care and nursing staff were just so lovely.
The care shown to our family was amazing. We were given a room to use so we could stay whenever we wanted to. We were all with her for most of her last week and we were all offered meals and drinks throughout that time. The staff kept checking up on us to make sure that we were ok. Mum was cared for there wonderfully until the end.
It was such a shame that she was not there for longer as she would have loved all the activities that are on offer every day.
I cannot recommend The Belmont enough. It is just a lovely home and we were so happy that Mum loved it too.
Reply from Sandie Preece, Manager at The BelmontThank you so much for your wonderful review, for the time we had your amazing mom with us was an honor and a pleasure. Such a kind heart, with a personality which made everyone smile. We also wish we had your mom with us for longer, she is missed dearly by all.

My mother stayed at Belmont for four months to recover after an operation. The staff helped me to move my mum from the hospital to Belmont, quickly, efficiently and calmly in very difficult circumstances. Everyone was extremely kind, understanding, reassuring and helpful. Just what we needed at the
time! During her stay, my mother was treated and looked after very well, she enjoyed the delicious food (which she often described as tasting 'home-cooked') and by the time mum left she was in better health than she had been for a long time. Belmont is spotlessly clean, and the staff are respectful but at the same time warm and welcoming. As a visitor, I was always welcome and treated very well by all of the staff. I would highly recommend Belmont and should mum need respite help again we will definitely be back for a second visit.
Reply from Sandie Preece, Manager at The BelmontThank you for your lovely feedback and for completing a review for The Belmont, it was such a pleasure to have mom with us until she felt well enough to go home. Visited for 2 hours. Lovely, warm lounge. Would've appreciated the offer of an afternoon drink. Perhaps visitors should bring their own? Meals apparently good. Staff use walkie-talkies enabling quick, transparent, communication but made it slightly difficult hearing our own conversation. The lounge
was due cleaning so we were asked to move to an equally nice, alternative lounge. Other than the lift smell, the home is clean, spacious and looks lovely. Staff are friendly and afternoon activity was offered. Fire alarms tested. I cannot comment on the care/support nor management.
Reply from Sandie Preece, Manager at The BelmontThank you so much for your lovely review, I am so pleased you enjoyed your visit and noticed how wonderful our home is. The Belmont is an amazing place, they have supported my dad above and beyond in every aspect. All of the staff are fantastic, and get involved in helping the residents doesn't matter what their job role is. They treat not just my dad but everyone with respect and it is a massive family.

The place

is always clean, warm and welcoming and everyone who lives there are so happy and always speaks to you when you visit. My dad is over the moon and calls the Belmont he's home.

Words can't say how brilliant this home is and its staff, go and see for yourselves all I can say is you won't be disappointed.

I stayed at The Belmont for a week to recover from surgery. I am 82.
The management and all the staff made me so welcome, I was so well looked after. They were friendly, kind and caring. Always ready for a chat at anytime. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant and stress-free.
My bedroom was spacious with three armchairs, good large wardrobes and an electrically operated bed to suit all my needs and a good sized wet room. Kept spotless at all times. The day lounges were beautiful with comfy chairs and sofas.
The Belmont is as good as a five-star hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone and would use it again if the need arises.

This was the second time my husband has been in The Belmont for respite care. The care is outstanding, the food is excellent, and the room is bright and airy with its own access to the courtyard/garden area. The staff are always on hand and willing to chat and made sure everyone enjoyed the trip out
that had been arranged, they are also very supportive of the carers as well which gives me confidence when I leave him in their care. He is booked in for future respite stays and is looking forward to his stay in 'his hotel' A very apt description of the whole place, and the attention given to everyone it is just like a 5* hotel.

The Belmont is a large family, nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is so kind and caring. The staff and managers are more than willing to help and discuss any wishes or worries with residents and families, promoting a positive environment and good care. The Belmont is a beautiful new home, you couldn't

My parents first came to The Belmont for respite care, as much for my father (Mum's carer) as for my mother who is terminally ill. Dad and I were immediately relieved by the care, concern and support offered to them both. Dad is able to spend quality time with Mum and I am confident that they are both
in safe hands. The fact that such excellent facilities are available just around the corner from me is an added bonus as I can visit them easily every day. Mum and Dad have decided to remain at The Belmont for the duration.

Since coming to The Belmont, my grandparents have received wonderful care which has allowed them to be more focused on spending time with themselves and visitors. Originally coming for respite care for two weeks, they have extended their stay due to the excellent care and treatment they are receiving.
The focus was originally on my grandma who is receiving palliative care but the team has also focused on correcting my grandad's medication. My grandma was opposed to care before coming here, which speaks volumes about the quality of care. One of the distinguishing factors is the companionship offered by staff as well as care.

The Belmont is a Godsend. My aunty has been so happy since being a resident. The care is bespoke to her needs and interests and she really loves all the events and activities. She even had the opportunity to have a helicopter ride! The Belmont is like a family! The atmosphere and the staff are warm,

My mother was a resident of The Belmont care home for six months up until her passing away, aged 92, in January 2023. I have been deeply impressed with the staff and their practices from the start. The management team are terrific, very highly experienced, honest and always being patient and helpful
with my enquiries, keeping me informed at all times. They have a single-minded, no-compromise approach to providing the very highest standards of care. The caring and supportive staff are excellent, they are people who genuinely care about the residents' welfare, maintaining a spotlessly clean home, providing tasty and nutritious meals, friendly companionship, efficiently coping with individual personal requirements and much more, being dedicated to making the quality of life as good as can possibly be provided. Placing my mother in the care of The Belmont was a great decision that I will never need to look back on.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.890)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.890) out of 10 for The Belmont is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 43 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.890 for The Belmont is calculated as follows: ( (460 Excellents x 5) + (44 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 510 Ratings = 4.89
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Belmont is based on 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 registered maximum number of service users is 14.8, which has been reached with 43 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I started my career in care at 17 as a Care Assistant. I quickly developed a deep love for the role and knew that this was the career path I wanted to pursue. I went on to complete my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and enjoyed it so much that I continued with my NVQ Level 3.

I have been working at The Belmont since it opened in January 2022. I started as a Care Team Leader and was given the opportunity to become the Deputy Home Manager in August 2022. I have always taken pride in my work and am always eager to learn more.

In April 2024, I was given the chance to become the Registered Home Manager. I absolutely love working at The Belmont, where we truly feel like one big family. I am dedicated to doing my best for both my residents and my team, and I feel fortunate to spend each day with such incredible people.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time on the sidelines of a football pitch, cheering on my son, who plays for Worcester City.
