My mom is at the home for a trial period and has fallen in love with the place and decided to make it her home permanently. Mom and I agree it is a lovely place and resembles a five-star hotel with fantastic facilities.
The food is outstanding, especially the puddings. The staff are amazing and professional, and nothing is too much to trouble. They are all so caring, supportive and super organised.

Care is tailored to my mom's needs and includes family input. We are really happy with Sedgley Court; it is excellent.

Caring and sympathetic on first entering the home. Staff always have a smile. Mom is never left on her own, always something to do. There are cares on hand to support any activities, these include daily walks. Care is taken to make all residents feel good about themselves eg, doing hair and putting on makeup. Food is excellent, with healthy choices. Health and safety are always paramount in the care of the residents. Strict covid rules ensure all residents are safe.
Rooms are cleaned daily and are always spotless.

I could not find a better place for my mom; she is in safe hands.

At the moment have only visited within Covid restrictions, so have not actually entered and seen the main part of the care home. I have been made very welcome, and the staff are extremely friendly and informative regarding my mother-in-law's health and well-being. The staff are very attentive and caring, and my mother-in-law seems very happy in their company.

What first drew us to Sedgley Court was the beautiful location nestled on the edge of the country park, and the accessibility to a secure manicured garden area with benches for the residents to enjoy the views.
What we also found was a very attentive team of staff that are willing to do anything to make the stay as pleasant experience as possible during her isolation periods during the covid pandemic, following the strict guidelines as laid out by the Government, but without making her feel like she is on her own. We look forward to experiencing the full benefits of visiting her after covid as a nice experience with us to be able to share a meal with her as she tells us how nice the food is (this coming from a former hotelier, who would cook everything from scratch).

The only negative is the normal mobile phone reception, which can be a little hit and miss, but the staff are only too happy to take their roving phone or help her FaceTime.

Although my sister's residence at Sedgley Court was sadly cut short by her transfer to hospital, and subsequent decrease, we had the opportunity to meet face to face with her shortly after she moved in. We spent an animated hour with her, and found her enthusiastic about her accommodation, her carers, and, not least, the food!

We had previously visited the home with her, and, on that and subsequent visits, were treated with courtesy and helpfulness by all staff we met.

From day one, when we met with the manager, we have had no cause for concern, everything is done with care, empathy and very professional. Having worked in the care sector myself, I cannot fault Sedgley Court, the building and surrounds are beautiful throughout, but that means nothing if the care is not there to go with it, which is the top priority. With Sedgley Court it is the whole package, building and care go hand in hand. The management and staff they are caring, sincere, honest, helpful and go out of their way for the residents and visitors. They give you regular updates on your relative, which is very welcome and appreciated with this very stressful situation. It is always a pleasure to visit my Auntie. If I had to use one word to describe Sedgley Court, it would be excellent.

I began investigating long term care for my mother in the summer of 2020. She had been diagnosed with epilepsy and Alzheimer's.

I had a preliminary interview with the manager and was immediately impressed with her professionalism and passion for her work. A number of visits to Sedgley Court followed as it was still in the process of being finished. I was bowled over by the design and beauty of it as it looked nothing like a 'traditional care home'.

I booked my mother in for one week's respite care in January, which turned into two followed by the decision for full-time residency. This was a momentous decision for me and the support I received from the manager and her staff has been phenomenal. It's incredibly difficult to leave the care of a loved one in the hands of someone else particularly when you live overseas. However, the decision has been made less challenging by knowing that my mother is in the best of care.

I cannot recommend the manager and her staff at Sedgley Court highly enough.

Since first looking around my Mums care home, I have been extremely impressed by the quality of the care that she has received from all members of staff from management to carers and seniors to the fab chef!
Mum has been very poorly and came out of the hospital in a very fragile state. From the moment she walked through the doors of this lovely building, she was enveloped in a wave of love and attention!
Mum has always lived independently, and now it is time for her to be looked after. I can’t think of a better place to entrust her safety and well-being too.

A very special home for a very special Mum!
