When it became apparent that mum couldn't cope with living on her own anymore, we started looking at all the care home options in the area. We thought we'd found the ideal home but thought we'd look at one more, which was Old Sarum Manor. Now we are really happy that we did, for we can't imagine anywhere else matching the standards here. The building seems more like a luxury hotel than a care home, with so many facilities and activities to keep mum entertained. The staff are lovely and look after her so well, it is heartwarming to see. The food, well, it's superb. Every little detail seems so thought out and it's that attention to detail that impressed me right from the word go. I just can't fault Old Sarum Manor and know we couldn't have found anywhere better no matter how hard we tried.

Mum recently moved into Old Sarum Manor Care Home. She says she is so happy and well looked after, which is reassuring for us as a family during the current Covid climate. During these challenging times we still ‘communicate’ with Mum through Facetime, telephone and visits in the specially-adapted Garden Room. Staff give well-informed updates on Mum’s health issues and needs. Their Facebook page is an added bonus with up-to-date photos and news of residents, staff, and activities. The staff are extremely accommodating, caring and dedicated, and treat Mum with patience, dignity and respect. In keeping with what I have so far seen, I am confident that Mum’s room, and the home itself, is beautifully furnished to a very high standard, always tip-top clean and oozes class and style. Meals are nourishing and well-presented - kudos to carers, catering staff, and all team members who are an asset to the home! I highly recommend this care home - it emanates a ‘wow, just wow' factor in all aspects.

I cannot emphasise enough how happy I am that my Nan is receiving care at Old Sarum. I spoke to her on FaceTime and a number of times she expressed how well she was looked after and how lovely the staff caring for her were. The facilities and surroundings look second to none and the food is out of MasterChef! Due to lockdown, I haven’t been able to visit and it’s an absolute joy to see photos of her activities and feel part of her day. Seeing her happy, smiling and supported is heartening. The glass garden room Old Sarum installed to allow safe contact until restrictions are lifted just shows how family and wellbeing are centric. The warmth and care the staff gives to residents and each other is evident. It’s joyful, and the peace of mind that this gives us as a family is immeasurable.
We can’t wait to get you in to show off your Nan’s home, but keep on Facetiming as she loves the calls, she is a character and keeps us on our toes! We are proud that we have created such a lovely home and we will make sure the whole team sees your comments. We really appreciate the kind comments.

My Dad was always very reluctant to even consider moving into a care home, despite struggling on his own for several years - however, following a short illness last summer, the decision was made for us. Since moving into Old Sarum Manor, I can honestly say it was the best decision we could have ever made! Dad absolutely loves it there. The accommodation is simply beautiful and the staff are extremely kind, caring and attentive. The food is far superior to any other facility we considered for Dad and always looks like it’s come straight from the kitchen of a Michelin Star restaurant! Dad is always telling me he can’t believe how lucky he feels to be there and says it’s like living in a 5 Star hotel. He is clearly much happier and certainly much healthier than he has been for years. I always imagined I would feel guilty “putting my Dad in a care home”, but I am so grateful he is where he is.

Dad has been at Old Sarum Manor for three months now and is very happy with the home and particularly with the staff providing his care. This is not the first care home Dad has stayed at within the Salisbury area, but it definitely is the best we have tried. The home is new, very well furnished and his room is perfect for his needs with a spacious ensuite bathroom. It hasn't been the best time to find a long term home for Dad, but the staff have been extremely helpful and have taken every precaution to keep him safe. Additionally, they have ensured we can see and speak to Dad, as well as being able to visit him in the Garden Room, fitted with screens to keep him safe. The food, together with the odd glass of wine, has been exceptional and is something that makes the choice of Old Sarum Manor as a long term home very easy. The support and attention provided by Old Sarum Manor has been much appreciated, making the move into long term care easier than expected and a relief to see him so happy.
