My grandparents both moved into Harrier House following my grandad sadly being on end of life care and unable to care for my Granny with dementia. The whole team and staff were incredible and so supportive with the whole transition for both my grandparents and close family. We were all greatly supported in such a difficult and distressing time, with food being provided and care being provided to my grandparents so the family were able to spend precious, quality time with them both. There are so many activities for the residents to do and my granny immediately felt comfortable and was integrated and I know the love and care that was given to us meant the world to my grandad. Thank you all.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the compassionate care my father-in-law received in his final days and for the ongoing, loving support provided to his wife who has dementia. Every staff member was not only attentive but genuinely caring, treating both of them with dignity and respect. They made sure every need was met with patience and understanding and always kept us informed which brought our family great peace of mind. The environment is warm and welcoming, the team go above and beyond to make it feel like a true home.

This care home is a caring and professional-run home. Our mum has been in here since 2021 and tells us that the staff are all friendly and treat her well. She loves the food and enjoys some of the activities (ie. carpet bowls) but can't join in others (ie. knitting, bingo etc) as her eyesight is not too good now. But all in all, she is being looked after and is safe and warm so the family can relax in the knowledge that this is happening. Well done Harrier House!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Harrier House Care Home. We are so pleased to hear your mum enjoys the food and activities and that she feels well cared for. Many Thanks.
He initially went to Harrier House for 2 weeks of respite care in March. There was an immediate improvement in his mental state due to the care and attention paid to him by the staff.
6 months on and the care remains excellent. Residents engage in various activities and staged events to involve family, which certainly serves to improve my brother's well-being and have no doubt staved off any fall into depression.
I can't thank the management and staff enough for all the effort put into the care they give him.

The retirement home is professionally run by a hands-on manager and caring staff. Spotlessly clean rooms and facilities, including a dedicated activity team who organised a monthly programme designed to meet the needs of the residents. Hairdressing and spa beauty rooms are a bonus. The staff have made special efforts to ensure all resident's birthdays are celebrated in style. My mother-in-law's 103rd birthday was superb. Celebratory breakfast, lovely cake and invitations for every resident in the home.

The meals always look nutritious, and well presented and there is always lots of choice. The home is luxurious, tastefully decorated throughout, well-maintained and very clean and tidy. The garden is beautiful and easily accessible for the residents to enjoy, it is very well maintained. Security and safety for all are also key features of the home.
My Dad has settled very well into life at Harrier House. I highly recommend this care home.

It is great to hear that your Dad has settled in very well at Harrier House and that you would highly recommend our home. Thank you.
My 89-year-old father had experienced a failed discharge from hospital and had been given an inadequate care package on discharge. I was left with no choice but to find my father emergency respite care at the 11th hour! The detailed care assessment my father received was very comprehensive, taking in to account his wishes and personal needs, as well as looking at what specific care he needed. Clearly, this is done to ensure everything is addressed and a comprehensive care plan is put in place straightaway on arrival. This I have witnessed while my father has been at Harrier House, in terms of personal care, engagement in activities, encouragement to mobilise on his walker to assist his mobility improvement and the happy smile on his face!.The amazing care manager and the team went above and beyond to accommodate him and to keep him safe. My father has settled in straight away, which is not what I expected given his previous independence before hospital. A fantastic residential home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Harrier House Care Home. We are thrilled to hear that you feel the team go above and beyond to accommodate your father and to keep him safe, we are also pleased to hear that he has settled in straight away at Harrier House. Thank you.

The staff at the home are really caring and have the resident's safety, security and health as a priority. It is a pleasure to go and visit Mother and to see her so happy in this exceptional environment. It is also very nice to be able to sit in reception with her, away from her room with a nice cup of coffee, just like on holiday or 'normal' living space. Harrier House is the best residential care home my wife and I have experienced and we have had two other relatives prior to my mother in other homes locally. Thank you for caring.

I have been a resident for 18 months and have felt supported and helped from the day I day I arrived and have been amazed at times by the willingness of the staff to do some personal care things when asked. Also, the care for medical needs are well looked after with care and regular consultation with medical staff etc. The whole staff are concerned for each of us and work long hours cheerfully. Food is varied and the chef speaks to residents about choices etc. All in all, a very good place to be cared for.

Spacious building, able to walk to the coffee area for tea and cake, rather than just sit in one place.

Having experienced a number of care homes in my search for a home for my husband, who is only 57, Harrier House went above and beyond to make sure that this difficult time for my family was the best that it could be. The care home manager went above and beyond for all of us and one year on continues to do so. The care home is wonderful, we couldn't wish for better, the staff are fantastic, well-trained and experienced in dementia care. Harrier House is just simply put... the best!

I am enjoying being here, and it's a very nice place. The girls (and staff) look after me very well. The food is delicious, and I am very satisfied. It is a nice and cosy warm place to be in and I like the summer months when I can sit outside on my patio. I feel I am in the best room. All in all a great care home!
