My husband has been staying for a short period of post-operative care. We have been impressed by the bright, friendly atmosphere and can-do attitude. The surroundings are very attractive and my husband has made excellent progress here. I have appreciated the opportunity to take lunch with my husband
and can vouch for the high standard of cuisine. The care staff have been helpful at all times. There was a small issue with one medication running low over the weekend, which was resolved- otherwise 100% full marks.

In the seventeen days, my beloved wife was with the home, I could see she was being given love and the best care possible. Every time I visited, the staff made me really welcome and gave me hope. Their assurance made me realise that there was kindness in this world. God bless them all.

My mum-in-law seems content and 'at home' in Brackley Care Home. Mum was always a bit of a 'social butterfly', so moving here means she can still enjoy her favourite musical activities, whilst in a safe and caring environment. It’s convenient for visiting and the staff give a warm welcome to the home.
I have sampled the food on a couple of occasions with Mum e.g going in for a lunch together and then at the Platinum Jubilee Celebration and both times, it was varied, beautifully presented and tasted lovely.
Reply from Sheena Croston, Manager at Brackley Nursing HomeThank you for taking your time to express how you feel about Brackley Care Home, the team and the activities. It is always a pleasure to have such feedback from a second eye.

Such a very difficult decision we had to make for our mum to go into care. My sister and I have shared Mum's care for over four years, however, Brackley Care Home is so lovely. All the staff are so caring, having been through some very difficult times with Covid. We know our mum is well cared for and
really loved. Our mum is one very special lady, and she is treated with compassion, care and loads of love. Thank you all.

Lovely care home. The grounds and facilities are exceptional. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The care provided for my elderly father was excellent. He liked the food! Would definitely recommend, if you are taking the difficult decision to place a loved elderly relative into care. Thank you
so much, for all you did for my father.
Reply from Sheena Croston, Manager at Brackley Nursing HomeThank you, Peter, your father was a lovely gentleman, who was always fun and engaging to talk with and very missed by all. Best wishes from all the team at Brackley.

Mum moved into Brackley Care Home in January and since then I have seen her flourish under the care, companionship and kindness of the staff. She regularly joins in and enjoys the activities and has even had the opportunity to take part in two trips out. The moving in process was professional and considerate
and the staff worked hard to navigate the covid protocols efficiently. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process. Thank you for allowing me to be a daughter again.
Reply from Sheena Croston, Manager at Brackley Nursing HomeDear Sarah, thank you for your review. We are so pleased that your lovely mum has settled so well, she is a pleasure to have with us. Best wishes.

Very happy with the staff, especially the customer relationship manager and the activities and wellbeing coordinator. The food is not great for my mum. This makes her very unhappy. The customer relationship manager has been great at trying to resolve food for my mum. A very understanding and empathetic
lady.

My mother was a health care professional all her working life, finishing her nursing career as a senior nursing office for the district nursing team in Southport. She always said when the time came, she wanted nursing care. She was pleased to be a resident in the Brackley Care Home and could not praise
the caring, nursing, catering and maintenance staff enough. Thank you for caring for her.

A very nice airy, light, clean and modern home with excellent facilities for the elderly, more like a great hotel than a care home. Viewing the home was straightforward with all of my questions answered. The professional attitude and the happiness of the staff clearly shone through and it is very apparent
that they had the care and wellbeing of the residents in mind. As next of kin we are kept fully informed as to both resident and the home activities. There is an added bonus of having The Cottage Hospital/Doctors Surgery across the care park! The family are very happy with our choice.

We are so pleased with the service and care we have experienced at Brackley Care Home. When our 85 year old, great friend and "pretend Grandma" became suddenly ill recently, we were soon overwhelmed by having to try to provide full care for her. The manager at Brackley Care Home was amazing and provided
us with both excellent advice, assistance and a lifeline when we needed it most.
Our friend was quickly able to move in for respite care and within a couple of days, she was eating, sitting up and becoming much brighter. The team have been amazing in getting our friend re-engaged with life and getting stronger by the day. The facilities are brand new and look more like a hotel than a care home. Despite the pandemic we have been able to visit in a safe and Covid secure way. We feel very comfortable that our friend is protected and safe.
Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful job!

would not hesitate in recommending Brackley Care Home.

The home and staff are amazing, the home is bright, cheerful and welcoming just like the staff from caretakers to management. In my mother's own words 'this is the best and they make the best cup of tea!'
It is so lovely seeing my mum so happy and settled, and the icing on the cake was seeing that
someone had taken the time to shape and paint her fingernails. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.892)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.892) out of 10 for Brackley Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 67 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 66 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.892 for Brackley Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (724 Excellents x 5) + (51 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 788 Ratings = 4.892
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brackley Nursing Home is based on 66 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 66 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
