My father had a very enjoyable stay. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful at all times. The cleanliness of the bedroom is excellent and the quality of the TV provided is also worthy of mention.
There may well be 'no place like home' but I would happily recommend this home for the care
and attention my father received.

We placed our 89-year-old mother in the care of this home. We were initially concerned as she hadn't been left in the care of anyone before. Our concerns were unwarranted, as she had a great time. The staff were excellent and so was the premises. We are now booking a second visit for later in the year.

We think that my sister has been looked after and treated with excellent care. Her bed sores are healing really well. So pleased that she has been able to be taken to the lounge in her chair for different events for a short period of time. All the staff we have met have been very kind and supportive.
Nothing is too much trouble and always very helpful. You have very happy, caring staff.

It was a difficult decision to move our father into care but Brackley Care Home staff have been amazing from the start. We followed our father's wishes to stay local despite this meaning distance for family. It is so reassuring to know our dad has a family at the home around him, caring for his needs.
Our father is so settled in his environment and staff are complimentary about his nature in the home. All staff have been great in responding to what our father needs and encouraging his stimulation. We always feel up to date on his welfare and they have helped manage his appointments when it is difficult for us to attend. My father always says how happy and well looked after he is in the home and enjoys many of the lovely activities provided by the home. We are very happy and grateful to the staff at Brackley Care Home. Thank you.

My father initially stayed at the care home for three weeks of respite care but quickly decided that he would like to stay permanently.
Sadly his health (despite the best care at the home), was rapidly declining and, was only at the home for 7/8 weeks before he passed away, peacefully aged 90.
The
care and compassion shown by the staff throughout my father's stay were exemplary. Not only did it give my father huge support and care it also gave me huge peace of mind that he was being very well cared for and, he had everything he needed. Not only did he have the support he needed, but the care and support I received (It's not an easy transition for families watching previous independent parents losing their independence) was unexpected and very wonderful. I will truly miss going into the care home and seeing these extraordinary people on a daily basis.
The care home is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff are cheerful, caring and so respectful of the residents. Thank you.
Reply from Sharon Wassing, Manager at Brackley Nursing HomeThank you, Sammie. It was lovely to know your father, albeit for a short time and a privilege to know him. You are always welcome to come and see us. We would love you to stay for a coffee with us. Hope to see you soon.

Since my mother has been a resident here she has met a lot of people which she would not have done at home. She has settled in well, is well looked after and enjoys the company of everyone. We were a bit apprehensive to start with, but are really appreciative of the kindness and consideration given

I can feel the love and care so much. I have known my friend for over 50 years. We have shared so much together and also families. She is very dear to me. My friend was an amazing dancer, especially The Jive. She would dance, sing and laugh so so much, Rock 'n' Roll being her favourite.
My visit here
today is the 1st time. What an amazing home my dear friend is now very much a part of. The staff are of an excellent quality.

My husband stayed at this care home for two weeks respite care in November 2022. The facilities and care and staff were faultless. My husband could not take part in the activities because of his sight problems but was taken to the activities room to hear what was going on. The ratings reflect my husband's
opinion on his experience at the home. We would happily use this care home again.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.898)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.898) out of 10 for Brackley Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 66 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 65 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.898 for Brackley Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (717 Excellents x 5) + (50 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 778 Ratings = 4.898
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brackley Nursing Home is based on 65 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 65 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
