My Nan spent a lovely 2 weeks at Beckenham Park when my parents went on holiday. I visited Nan at the weekends and had lunch with her and took her out into the Gardens. It was clear she was very well looked after by all the staff and felt very safe whilst my parents were away.

My mother in law stayed at Beckenham Park Care Home for respite care. It is a beautiful care home but more than that the staff and care she experienced was exceptional. She has no hesitation returning at any stage in the future.

Overall Experience
Unfortunately, my experience with this care home has been very concerning. Over the past three years there have been seven different managers, with an interim manager currently in place. This constant change in leadership has been extremely unsettling for both staff and residents and has resulted in a noticeable lack of consistency in care.
Staffing levels have frequently been insufficient, putting pressure on existing staff and impacting the quality of care provided. I was also deeply troubled to learn that staff have reportedly been told that if they raise concerns with residents' families, they could face disciplinary action. This creates a culture where issues are not openly addressed and families are not kept properly informed.

Due to the concerns for my mother's Health and Welfare, the Council Social Services recommended i remove my mother from the home which i have now done. i cannot recommend this home due to ongoing concerns surrounding care and the failure of management.

The home is beautiful, very modern, well looked after; very clean, organised. I describe it to other people as being more like a 5 star hotel. The flat was great, a one bedroom flat, perfect for dad Lovely food and dining facilities. Excellent activity co-ordinators & activites that my father really enoyed & benefited from. I thought the staff were great, from the manager to the receptionist, nurses, cleaners, lovely garden and garden maintenance, hostesses, all really friendly & helpful. Cannot fault Beckenham Park Care Home.

My mother was a resident at Avery, Beckenham for 2 years 4 months and I can honestly say that during her stay she received excellent care and was treated with kindness, dignity and respect at all times. My sister and I visited most days and found all the staff friendly and helpful. When my mother became ill (she had at this time completely lost her sight) she was cared for by all with great compassion and my sister and I received great support from all at Avery throughout a difficult and sad time.

My mother has been a resident at Beckenham Park Care Home for two years. She is now blind and needs help for just about everything. I find the staff at Beckenham Park to be excellent, from the nurses to the supervisors and carers, office staff, cleaning, catering and reception. My mother is well cared for and often the cares just pop by her apartment for an extra visit to see her for a quick hello which brightens up her day.

I feel confident and reassured that my mother is in safe, kind hands.

Beckenham Park Care Home is one of the most professional nursing homes I have ever encountered. The whole atmosphere is one of welcome from both the staff and the environment. Staff on the dementia unit are caring and patient, offering a high standard of care in a sometimes challenging unit.

The care at Beckenham Park Care Home is excellent in every area of care. The one area I would mention which is unique to here is the staff. They are exceptional in the level of care they provide to every resident, treating everyone as an individual with respect, dignity and paying attention to their individual needs. From the minute one walks in the door to be greeted by the receptionists, visitors are aware of the warmth of the place and high standards of cleanliness and care with great attention to detail.

My 99-year-old father moved into Beckenham Park Care Home at the end of July 2023 and hasn't looked back. He is happy, settled and well cared for, and we can relax knowing that he is safe and his needs are met. He loves his accommodation and is learning to be looked after rather than fending for himself and relying solely on his family. We have also been impressed with the number of activities on offer every week and seeing happy and positive staff members around the home.

Hi, my name is Chanice. I’ve worked in the F&B department at Avery for 2 years now, and every day is a different day, which is refreshing to take part in as a member of the team. I work hard to ensure residents have an efficient service during mealtimes, as well as being entertained throughout the day by participating in resident activities and generally getting to know individual residents.

Hi, I am Jessica Azagoh, and I am the Business Administrative Manager here at Avery Beckenham Park. I’ve been a part of the care sector family since 2019, starting my journey in Wimbledon before bringing my experience over to our wonderful community here in Beckenham.

My role is all about keeping the 'engine room' running smoothly. I look after the financial side of the home—from managing accounts and budgets to ensuring everything is organised behind the scenes. I know that navigating the financial aspects of care can sometimes feel overwhelming for families, so I take great pride in making sure those processes are clear, transparent, and stress-free.

I’m a firm believer that a well-run office is the backbone of a happy home. Whether it’s a complex billing question or just a quick administrative query, I’m always happy to support our residents and their loved ones in any way I can.

When I’m not balancing the books, I enjoy travelling and good movies.
