I began my career in the care home and social care sector in September 2003 as a Healthcare Assistant. In 2006, I qualified as a Registered Nurse after completing Adult Nursing at London South Bank University.
I bring over 23 years of experience working within care home settings, alongside additional experience in the private sector and neuro-disability care. This diverse background has strengthened my clinical expertise and enhanced my ability to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with complex needs.
In 2009, I completed Management Training with the Institute of Leadership & Management, further developing my leadership and organisational skills within healthcare environments.
I am proud to be part of such a motivated and supportive team at Beckenham Park Care Home. Together, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and continuously improving the quality of life for all our residents.
Gareth is the Maintenance Manager at Beckenham Park Care Home, where he leads on building safety, statutory compliance, and the smooth running of all technical operations across the home. With extensive experience in facilities management across healthcare, heritage, and high-profile commercial environments, he brings a calm, professional, and solutions-focused approach to every challenge.
Before joining the care sector, Gareth worked in a range of demanding environments such as Gatwick Airport, HMRC Government Hub, the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall, and major financial institutions. This background has shaped his strong commitment to safety, reliability, and high-quality service.
At Beckenham Park, Gareth is known for his approachable manner, attention to detail, and dedication to creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and colleagues. He takes pride in ensuring the home runs smoothly behind the scenes so that residents can enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
Outside of work, Gareth enjoys music and plays both the clarinet and saxophone. He also restores and repairs clarinets, giving older instruments a new lease of life.
Hi, my name is Chanice. I’ve worked in the F&B department at Avery for 2 years now, and every day is a different day, which is refreshing to take part in as a member of the team. I work hard to ensure residents have an efficient service during mealtimes, as well as being entertained throughout the day by participating in resident activities and generally getting to know individual residents.
Hi, I am Jessica Azagoh, and I am the Business Administrative Manager here at Avery Beckenham Park. I’ve been a part of the care sector family since 2019, starting my journey in Wimbledon before bringing my experience over to our wonderful community here in Beckenham.
My role is all about keeping the 'engine room' running smoothly. I look after the financial side of the home—from managing accounts and budgets to ensuring everything is organised behind the scenes. I know that navigating the financial aspects of care can sometimes feel overwhelming for families, so I take great pride in making sure those processes are clear, transparent, and stress-free.
I’m a firm believer that a well-run office is the backbone of a happy home. Whether it’s a complex billing question or just a quick administrative query, I’m always happy to support our residents and their loved ones in any way I can.
When I’m not balancing the books, I enjoy travelling and good movies.
