So I'm now going to take a quick three year wind forwards. Today, I think it fair to say my mother, is like shining beacon of light and looks so radiant whenever she's got time to see me. Her activities include Bridge, Pottery, yes Pottery, every Thursday, we can't believe the outstanding pieces she's created. Needless, to mum and my family have made many new friends, and reacquainted with some old friends that also have family at the Hendon Hall.
Feeling quite emotional writing this, suffice to say. A massive thank goes out to Orla, and her outstanding team for all their continued care, given in making mum a very happy, contented lady.
Steve, on behalf of Joy.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt and warm review, we are really touched to hear of the positive impact for your mother since living at Hendon Hall. As a team, we are greatly encouraged to know that we are providing a caring service in which our residents are not only safe but thrive in their daily lives.

Signiture Care home and its staff have literally saved my life and my husbands. I was unable to care for him at home and with great sadness moved him there. Since he has been there he has flourished, is joining in many activities, and is a completely changed man. Every member of staff is a joy to be around. Their care and love for those in need goes above and beyond. It is as though he is living in a 5 star Hotel and certainly not a care home as one would think. My words do not express how magnificent it is and I couldn't wish for anything more. I cannot thank them all enough from management to all the staff a huge thank u.
Your wonderful review really warms our hearts, thank you. We know what a difficult decision it can be for a loved one to move to a care home but it is so good to know your husband has flourished since living at Hendon Hall. It is always a pleasure when you come to visit!
My mum has been living here for almost 1 year and we are extremely happy with the place, staff and care. Highly recommended! Staff are extremely friendly and there are always lots of visitors giving the place a lively and welcoming atmosphere

They have restored her back to us. She smiles and laughs again, she joins in with regular exercise and entertainment and she is regaining her physical stamina because the lovely carers take the time to take her for walks around the home and gardens regularly.
The medical care is excellent, the environment is beautiful and peaceful because the staff use handheld devices so residents aren't disturbed by incessant call bells. The food is excellent and varied. There are regular excursions and visiting speakers and special activities etc.
But what really sets Hendon Hall apart is the kindness and warmth of all the people - staff, residents and even other residents' visitors. I've experienced other care homes first hand (parents as residents and also through work) but HH is very special.
People go there to live their very best lives.
Thank you for your wonderful review and feedback. To know your mother has experienced such an amazing transformation since living at Hendon Hall warms our hearts. We love and care for our residents like family and to hear that you are so pleased with our home and staff encourages us tremendously. Thank you!

My brother has been a resident for 18 months and in that time his demeanour has improved significantly. Previously living alone in his house he was struggling to deal with health issues related to a stroke several years ago. The facilities and staff at Hendon Hall have helped him develop a more positive attitude and he is now more relaxed. Orla and her team have patiently supported John when he has needed them. Thank you Signature - and your food is not bad either!!
We really appreciate your fantastic feedback regarding our care for your brother. We love his enthusiasm (especially when it comes to football) and sense of humour! You are always welcome when you come to visit.
My mother entered the care home in September 2025 sadly she had 2 strokes within a month of being there and has been bed bound ever since .. sadly she can't join in all the activities but the day to day care she gets is very good

We moved our mother to Hendon Hall after her last care home had failed to provide adequate care. This was, undoubtedly, the best thing we could've done for her and for us. She was declining rapidly both physically and cognitively but has blossomed and thrived in her new home. She has quite advanced dementia but the care and attention she receives from all the staff is truly wonderful. She cannot tell us enough times how happy she is there when we visit and the activities and outings keep her stimulated and entertained. Everyone is so kind and attentive and the atmosphere is just joyful. I used to dread my visits to the old care home but now we look forward to going to see her. Her happiness is palpable and the staff are genuinely friendly and extremely supportive, keeping us well informed and involved with every aspect of her care and day-to-day life. I have recommended Hendon Hall to many friends as it is truly an excellent example of putting the word care back into care home.
We are so touched to receive such a heartfelt review regarding our care for your mother. We are indeed passionate about making our care home a place where our residents are loved, cared for and thrive. Thank you also for your recommendations!

My mum and dad are both in Hendon Hall. They have both had a new lease of life since moving in. They have made many friends and enjoy the range of activities which are put on as well as going out with their family or for my dad independently. The two things I would recommend in particular are the wonderful staff who are genuinely kind thoughtful and greet people with a smile and the wonderful garden which is a social centre when the weather is kind. It retains the feel of a hotel rather than a care home, and I can not rate highly enough
We very much appreciate you taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review, thank you! It is so good to know that your parents are experiencing a new lease of life at Hendon Hall including making new friends and enjoying the activities. You are always welcome when you visit!

We chose Signature Hendon Hall for our mother to enable her to move closer to the family. Hendon Hall was our favourite after much research looking at other homes. The outstanding feature of Hendon Hall is that there is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The team is exemplary in all functions including care, hospitality, activities, housekeeping and management. Whenever we needed extra help for our mother, the staff were always obliging. Our mother loved living there for two and a half years and had so many favourites in the team.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We miss your mother very much - she was a ray of sunshine, always smiling and kind. You and your family are always welcome to pop in for a coffee and cake.

It is truly the best Carehome ever. My mum is a different woman being there. It's the nearest thing to a 5 Star Hotel. It's like going back in time . Meeting up with old friends. I love visiting her and chatting with all the ladies. The staff are so friendly.

After working in the licensed trade for 25 years, I joined Signature at Bentley House, before transferring to Signature at Barnet (now Avery Barnet Grange Care Home) for their opening. During this time, I entered the NACC Chef of The Year competition, reaching the Regional Finals in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and progressing to the National Finals in 2021 and 2023. What I enjoy most about Signature at Hendon Hall is the interaction with the residents. I feel this is a major highlight, as I get to know them individually and can discuss their dietary needs. Doing so, I am about to find out their likes and dislikes, which I can then share with the rest of the kitchen team, therefore providing the best dining experience possible, whilst fulfilling their nutritional requirements.
