Very helpful staff who know all the clients. The rooms are spacious and well looked after by the staff. The public rooms are modern and clean and the daily activities are excellent. There is food at any time of the day and the waiters try hard to ensure food is hot and wine is always available.

My sister-in-law was admitted when very weak from Barnet Hospital. She was suffering end-stage cancer. Three weeks on she is eating well, having lots of visitors and taking part in the life of Hendon Hall.
I am so impressed by the medical and care staff who go out of their way to support and reassure.
They are extremely professional, friendly and a joy to meet. The home is very luxurious with great activities, cinema, entertainment and bridge. I recommend Signature at Hendon Hall unreservedly.

Two weeks of respite after a knee operation, mainly to be able to see the visiting physio twice a day. I was in previously in September/October 2022 for a month after another knee operation. Although mainly for longer-term, older residents, I think you could develop more for the short-term, respite
for post-operations. You would need just to have a physio room.
Generally a great facility.

So many caring for me, everything is beautiful and I came on respite and will definitely return. They plan daily activities for everyone so much to do and so much to choose. Mostly I found the really kind carers the most impressive!

An excellent, luxurious and caring environment with staff of the highest quality who put the residents first and make them feel very special. Such standards of care give huge comfort to family members knowing their relative is being so well cared for. My only criticism is the food which is often quite
unappealing and not very tempting. It shouldn't be difficult to improve the food.
Reply from Rakhee Popat, Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Hendon HallThank you so much for your lovely feedback about our home and care! We do have 3 choices of mains during lunch service and 2 choices of mains during dinner service. We also have the light bites menu throughout the day which is another option. We are not aware of any food concerns from your relative so will go and speak with her to see if we can offer food choices more to her liking.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank you for all the hard work you've done to make my mum's transition into Signature Care Home such a pleasant one, two months ago when she fell ill I started to build a team of professionals around us to help her and us, I came to see you and during
our first meeting I knew that she would be in great hands since then the service, care and compassion you have provided us has been nothing short of first-class, you've been so patient and understanding throughout the process. I'd also like to extend my sincere gratitude to the team of nurses there who acted with such speed and professionalism when she became dangerously ill, I would also like to thank the entire team that has welcomed her back with such love.
Signature at Hendon together with its team really is an amazing place and I now have peace of mind that my mother is in the best possible place.

Mum needed two weeks after being in hospital for a month. The handover from hospital was done really well by the home but obviously not by the hospital. The facility is amazing like a 5-star hotel.
The staff were attentive as much as they could be as Mum spent time in her room initially.
She then
enjoyed the outdoor areas when the weather allowed it.
All in all, she was really well looked after.

Our mother has been suffering with dementia for the past few years and having tried care at home we couldn't manage looking after her safely and well enough to keep her happy. Reluctantly we decided to move her to a care home where dementia care has a good reputation. Mum moved into Signature at Hendon
Hall in February. It's not been an easy move for any of us but we see that Mum is very well looked after and as the dementia is getting worse and Mum gets harder to manage the carers are always supportive to Mum and to us too. We feel Mum is stimulated by the activities and events there and she enjoys the food. So all in all it has given us some peace of mind and we can visit her and leave her there feeling she is in the best possible place for her now.

In October 2023 my family chose Signature at Hendon Hall for my father to spend some time convalescing after a spell in hospital. The Client Liaison Manager, Rakhee, was wonderful – professional, calm and welcoming and went out of her way to make sure Dad’s transition from hospital to his room was seamless.
The
elegant surroundings allow family members and friends to feel at ease when visiting. All the carers and nurses are fantastic; warm, engaging, sympathetic and patient. My father only spent a short time at Signature but we had no hesitation to use Signature again in January 2024 when my mother had a fall and needed a safe space to recuperate after the hospital. Mum’s room was bright, and contemporary and had a small living room which was perfect for visiting. When she felt stronger Mum thoroughly enjoyed the cinema room and having a spa bath. We would like to convey a huge thank you to all the staff who looked after her.

I stayed in Hendon Hall for 3 weeks following a hospital stay. I was recovering from a fractured pelvis and needed respite care before returning home. The food was good, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I especially enjoyed the pet therapy, exercise class and talking to other residents. My
dog was allowed to visit me regularly, which was very important to me.
I was able to invite friends for a private lovely afternoon tea which was greatly enjoyable.
I would recommend Hendon Hall both as a live-in care home and for respite. Thank you, Hendon Hall.

Mum moved in a month ago and she's settling in really well. She really likes her room, the food is nice, especially the soups, and she's made a few friends already. She's particularly impressed with the staff - she says they are excellent and yesterday she told me that it's already feeling like home.
One thing she asked me to mention, although it doesn't affect her, is that wheelchair users have found the accessibility of the bathrooms, specifically the handbasin, is not great. Overall, we're really happy.

I first got in touch with the manager in the summer and she was very kind and friendly. She understood our needs and explained everything in detail. My brother-in-law and husband had a look at the home for both their parents originally. Now my father-in-law has lived there since November. I visit regularly
and love the place. I have fun having drinks, coffee and lunches with him. The only sad thing is that my dear mother-in-law didn’t make it there. The manager was amazing and so is everyone else who looks after him now.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.796)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.796) out of 10 for Signature at Hendon Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 36 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.796 for Signature at Hendon Hall is calculated as follows: ( (347 Excellents x 5) + (73 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 427 Ratings = 4.796
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Signature at Hendon Hall is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 102 registered maximum number of service users is 20.4, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My role focuses on keeping the day-to-day business side of the home running smoothly — from administration, recruitment, finance, compliance, and audits, to supporting both our amazing care teams and managers, and external professionals. I work closely with staff and residents to make sure processes are clear, communication is open, and nothing important slips through the cracks.
