Hi, my name is Gemma and I am the General Manager here at Snowdrop Place.

I have worked in the healthcare sector since 2015, in both public and independent services. As an experienced General Manager, I qualified as a registered Adult nurse in 2006 from the University of Southampton School of Nursing and Midwifery and then began my nursing career in the social care sector. My love for working with the elderly came like many, from looking after my grandmother in my teenage years.

I am extremely passionate about delivering exceptional, person-centred care to residents and ensuring high standards of support. Residents should have the opportunity to live their lives to the fullest. I enjoy working with residents, their loved ones and the staff team here at Snowdrop Place.

Hi, my name is Nicky and I am the Deputy Manager here at Snowdrop Place. I have a lot of experience working in this field, beginning in 2022 when I began as a part-time carer. I am passionate about my role within the home and team and I love interacting with the residents daily. It brings me joy to make a difference in their lives and to give back to the community in any way that I can.

Outside of my work, I have a busy life as a parent of three teenagers. They keep me on my toes and make sure that I am always on the go.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be in my current position at Snowdrop Place. Every day is a new adventure, filled with opportunities to make a difference and to have a positive impact on the lives of others. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world.

I have been working as a Health Care Assistant for the past 10 years. I have worked within the community and in a care home always helping out with Activities when possible. I have always had a passion for working with the elderly and love seeing them smile. I decided I wanted to progress my career within the care sector but in a different job role so I joined the team at Snowdrop Place as an Activities Coordinator. My aim is to give our residents a weekly programme full of activities and events to enjoy.

Hi, my name is Carol and I am the Head Housekeeper at Snowdrop Place. I love working in the care industry and supporting our residents daily. I am really passionate about the work I do.
I am married with 3 daughters and I have 4 beautiful grandchildren. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, we go for walks, bake and play games. We also love to laugh a lot!

Hi, my name is Maria Morris and I am part of the Reception Admin team here at Snowdrop Place.

As someone who has recently been promoted to the role of administrator, I am committed to providing the best possible support to both our staff and residents. I am excited to take on this new challenge and eager to learn new skills that will enable me to better serve our community.

As part of my role, I will be available to assist you with any enquiries you may have, whether it be about our services or any other questions you may have. I believe that listening to your feedback and concerns is paramount to my success in this role, and I am committed to providing you with the support you need.

I have previously worked in Retail Management, Schools and in the Admin Office for a small business.

Outside of work, I love to cook much to the delight of my family and friends, we also enjoy travelling and experiencing different foods, it also gives me a chance to practice my Spanish.

I'm Laura, a Home Services Advisor at Snowdrop Place. My role includes working alongside the home’s knowledgeable management team to support potential residents and their loved ones when considering care in our wonderful home.

I’m on hand to meet and chat with you, answer all your questions and support you through your decision to seek the perfect home, that offers person-centred care, companionship, well-being and life-enriching experiences whilst enabling the protection of independence and individuality. We really aim to make your journey as easy, stress-free and comfortable as possible as a team.

My career has spanned various sectors, all based around customers, care and people. With a family, I also enjoy making the most of life. I really enjoy the opportunity to be part of our home, where we take pride in offering safe, warm and compassionate care in a luxurious setting where residents really thrive and enjoy their lives.

I'm Brian, and really pleased to be part of the Hospitality team and take the role of Head Chef here at Snowdrop Place.

Hi, my name is Rutendo Jambo. I am a BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care graduate. I also attained from Kingston College a Foundation Diploma in Nursing. I have many years of experience working in healthcare. After completing my studies I moved back to my home country Zimbabwe where I worked as a Pyscho-Social Support Worker at an NGO supporting children with cancer. I love my job and delight in working with residents to help them make the most of every day

Hello, My name is Liliana and I am a Senior Carer here at Snowdrop Place Care Home. I have been working in the care industry for many years and working with Barchester in this beautiful home is a real highlight for me.

Supporting our residents and their loved ones is at the front of all I do on a daily basis and I hope that my input in their care brings them as much joy as it does me.

Hi, my name is Ashley and  I feel extremely proud to be a part of the Snowdrop team.

I started my journey with Barchester Healthcare as a carer through their sponsorship programme. My role included providing compassionate care to patients and ensuring their daily needs were met with utmost care and attention.

As time went by, I was given the opportunity to develop my skills and progress professionally.

I was also given a chance to become a dementia champion. This role is special to me as it allows me to use my knowledge and experience to support patients with dementia and their families. I strive every day to make a positive impact in their lives and help them to live with dignity and respect.
