Overall Experience
My friend is severely disabled through the effects of a bleed in the brain, and so he is highly dependent on the help he receives from carers and the nursing staff at Sutton Rose.

This is an excellent modern facility that caters for all the needs of older residents as well as partially abled and disabled residents. With extremely helpful and caring staff, there is a light, friendly atmosphere throughout the complex, which has very pleasant outdoor gardens with wheelchair-friendly access. It is difficult to make any suggestions that would result in improvements.

I feel it is very difficult for an elderly person to come to terms with having to go into a care home, but the main emotional requirement they need is care, compassion, respect, understanding, and to feel loved. This does take time, but you do hope this is something that happens with time. This has happened at this care home, after a period of time, but communication can be an issue.

An old family friend is a resident at Sutton Rose, and although they would rather be living independently at home, they require 24-hour nursing care. My friend loves living at Sutton Rose and thinks it's a home from home. The staff are friendly and interact well with the residents and visitors. The food is delicious, and we often visit the attached Bistro for lunch when visiting. Such a great addition to have at a care home! The nurses keep the family updated, and we all feel happy knowing he is being cared for in such beautiful clean surroundings. It is the type of home that you would be happy for your own parents to live in.

Thank you so much for sharing your views with us. Having to make the decision to live in a care home can be quite daunting; it is so reassuring that we are able to create a home from home for our residents and that friends and family can enjoy the visits and the Bistro making a more naturally social environment.

The staff are very friendly and helpful to me and my family. We love being able to take Mom to the bistro, which she loves, even if it is just for a chat and coffee.

My mother went to Sutton Rose from the hospital and was sadly there for just 8-weeks. The care she received was excellent. All the staff are very kind and took the time to get to know her. The rooms are excellent and very clean. The food is lovely. She was treated with respect and dignity throughout. From the management, reception staff, nursing and housekeeping and carers, she received loving care.

Thank you for providing feedback on your mum's experience at Sutton Rose; it was our pleasure to be able to look after her and how lovely that she could reconnect with an old friend during her time here as well. She is greatly missed, and we would love to keep in touch.

My brother has received excellent care and attention from the whole team at Sutton Rose. The food served is first class quality and is presented beautifully even when it needs to be pureed. He enjoys the cinema and gym there. The public bistro connected to Sutton Rose is a wonderful place for residents where they can meet family and friends and the staff there are also excellent. The social events are also excellent and they always have live entertainment. The bedrooms are a brilliant design and the whole place is like a 5-star hotel. We always know at the end of every visit when we walk away that we are leaving our brother in good caring hands.

Overall Experience

From our first meeting with the manager, we knew this was the place we wanted our brother to be in. Nothing was too much trouble, and the professional attitude of all the staff was exceptional. Plus, you felt straight away that they would do everything in their power to make him comfortable. Any queries we had, have been dealt with straight away. The other big factor is apart from them being professional in their jobs, they have taken time to get to know us on a personal level and for us to get to know them on a personal level. So impressed with Sutton Rose Care Home.
