This is our aunt's third visit to Sutton Rose. It is the most beautiful place. The care that she receives is amazing. All of the care staff and reception are extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble.

My mum, with complex needs, had end-of-life care at Sutton Rose. The staff were outstanding and did everything they could to encourage my mum to eat and take part. They were willing to spend significant amounts of time with her and also keep us informed.

When we visited, they were welcoming, and Mum felt well looked after and cared for. Every member of staff we met was excellent.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such encouraging feedback, which I shall be sharing with the team. It was our pleasure to be able to support your mum and your family during this time.

My husband has been a resident on the dementia floor of Sutton Rose for nearly two years now. The family chose Sutton Rose then because it could be a 'forever' home, the staff seemed so caring and there was a welcoming and lively bistro. I would say it was the best choice I could have made. The love and care on every visit to the resident and family members has been excellent, from top management through to the humblest employee. My husband's forever home here at Sutton Rose is all I could wish for.

My uncle gets the care he deserves at his time of life, the care is good during the day, cannot comment on care at night as not visited in the evening. Food is to a good standard, as is cleanliness of all areas, the activities are good if you want to use them. Staff are very nice and always available if you have any questions, nurse is on call 24/7 if needed and they do their best to make residents comfortable.

I attended a dementia awareness talk at Sutton Rose this week (Nov 2023) by the dementia lead at MACC Care, who is advising MACC Care Homes on improving care for dementia residents. It was refreshing to listen to someone who is so inspirational and passionate about the care and improvement of the daily lives of people living with this deteriorating condition. She stresses the importance of seeing the person behind the condition and that making small changes to the way they are treated can massively improve their quality of life. She is a huge asset to the MACC Care team and I look forward to her future talks for the families of residents with dementia. Thank you for caring about us as well.

Hello Marian, thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to leave us such a glowing review. We are delighted to hear you found the session so beneficial and, as you said, the dementia lead is such an asset to MACC Care. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all back for...

My sister's experience of respite care at Sutton Rose has been very positive. She has been very well looked after and supported in her recovery from illness. The carers have all been kind, thoughtful and encouraging - helping her be more independent and able to return to living at her own home. Sutton Rose is a very well-managed care home.

I would like to thank all staff and management for their care and understanding with Mum at Sutton Rose Care Home. Mum lost her husband of 72 years last December and the move to Sutton Rose was initially a very difficult time for Mum and the whole family. Mum seems to be more settled now she has moved to the ground floor and appears to be in a happier place. The extra assistance at meal times is very much appreciated. Mum's eyesight is very poor and she suffers from Macular Degeneration therefore her vision is extremely limited now.

Mum has been at Sutton Rose for five months now and has really settled in. She is well cared for, both medically and personally, and her many medications are well managed. Her health has improved due to her improved nutrition and she's even put on weight.

The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the residents and their needs. A varied range of activities are provided and the surroundings, both inside and outside, are beautifully maintained. Finally, the bistro is a lovely venue for residents and visitors.

My father stayed for a week's respite. He has dementia. We were kept informed of his health and welfare throughout. When we called daily, we were given a detailed update. Records of his food and fluid intake were kept. We were notified of any concerns. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. He was treated with kindness and compassion. We will definitely use Sutton Rose again. Thank you.

Mum was moved from Hospital to Sutton Rose for assessment. She arrived in a poor state after three weeks in the hospital, confused, distressed, dehydrated and malnourished.
The personal care Mum received at Sutton Rose from the whole team over her six-week stay has enabled Mum to return to her own home. It is evident the staff care about their resident's well-being.

As a family, if Mum had needed long-term residential care, then we would have been very happy for her to remain at the home.

Overall, my wife had an ok experience.

The biggest problem is that the home is understaffed. Many of the staff were excellent, and the manager was very good.

This is the best care home I have ever been into, everything about it is above and beyond. I haven't got a bad word to say, nothing tops the quality, care and respect from the all-round staff, every department, nurses, carers, housekeepers, doctors, social workers, maintenance, kitchen staff, managers, reception staff, office staff, gardener, bistro and everyone who works in there, laundry staff, all entertainments and services provided. What a lovely place for anyone who needs care. Perfect, very well kept, very clean, well organised, service users, wonderful, so clean and tidy.

Whenever I visited I found the staff to be extremely helpful and courteous. My friend's room was spotless and great care was taken with her personal hygiene. My father went into Sutton Rose in May 22, suffering from the final stages of Alzheimer's and from having a fall at home. From spending three weeks in the hospital from the fall to coming out looking terribly malnourished and painfully thin, the turnaround in his condition was amazing when he went into the home. He went in with the thought of us moving closer to home, as it was nearly a 3-hour round trip for us. It became apparent from looking at other care homes and the way my dad was cared for that he would be better off staying at Sutton Rose. I can't thank the staff and nurses enough for the care, compassion, dignity and love they showed towards my father, and it certainly put our minds at ease with not being able to go all the time. I can't think of a better surrounding for him to of been in. He loved watching films in the cinema and holding court in his own way with the staff and residents, and I always knew he was in caring hands when we left him.
