Mum could not have been happier at Greensand. The love and care she enjoyed, the friendships she made with both residents and staff, the dining, activities, every aspect of her experience was a joy. As her loving daughter, it brought me such comfort to know she was always safe and happy. Sadly, Mum died in April following a short illness in hospital. Greensand kindly hosted Mum's wake: a wonderful, happy celebration, which did Mum proud.
Thank you so much for this beautiful feedback. It was a pleasure to support mum with her chapter at Greensands. We were honoured to be a big part of celebrating her life.
I live in Devon and try to visit dad at least once a month. My observations are based on my latest visit. When I arrived dad was in his room, he looked relaxed and comfortable and his room was clean and tidy. I was with him at lunchtime and he enjoyed his food. It was a walk day so I took dad into the garden. The staff who are always friendly and helpful, assisted dad into his wheelchair. Dad loved being outdoors and enjoyed a tour of the grounds, which are very well kept.
It is a pleasure to support dad an to ensure dad continues to embrace everything he loves to do.
Our mother came into Greensand House for respite care. With the support and care of all the lovely staff has decided to make it her new home. She has embraces having friendly people around and enjoys the activities and group session provided. The family feel so happy she is safe and content in this new chapter of her life.
We thank you so much for this beautiful feedback! We are so so thrilled that mum is so happy at Greensands and it is a pleasure to support this new chapter.
My friend has settled well into the home. She is happy and joins in with some of the activities, (if they don't require her to move from her chair). The staff are always helpful to the residents and their visitor. I always feel welcome. I like the fact that the residents are card for as individuals, having their independance when necessary. I am very impressed with the cleanliness and the beauty of all areas. I have already recommended Avery to friends and family.
Thank you for your amazing feedback. We are so happy she has settled so well and taking part in activities Greensands has to offer. The home is as much a part of the families and friends that visit as well as our residents.
Life for our family and elderly mum changed very quickly when she had a fall. Mom was in hospital in a full leg brace and needed respite care. On contacting Greensands we received so much help, kindness and reassurance. The transition from hospital to respite care was so impressive. The manager and staff went above and beyond to accommodate mum in a very short time frame. Mum has now asked to stay indefinitely as she is embracing a new chapter in her life surrounded by love and care. How wonderful is that! Thank you all, so so much.
It has been a pleasure to support mum. We are delighted for mum to be a part of the Greensands family and how she has embraced us all too.
My mum is look after very well the staff do a excellent job with day to day care mum fells at home in her room here watch is keep clear and tidy at all times she has pitche from her old home as a lot of anther people have to on walls and round the room.
We are so pleased mum feels so at home here and has everything she loves to make her room her own.
It it so important to us.
I visited a resident that was happy being in the home. She felt cared for, and comfortable. Before living in the home, was often depressed, and often crying and lonely. It was lovely to see her cheerful. Yes forgetful but joining in the conversation. Being in the home has given her care and companionship.
Thank you so much your your feedback. We really value the impact wellbeing and companionship has for our residents. We are so happy to be a part of that for everyone at Greensands.
My mum has been a resident since 12.12.25 she is happy, safe and well cared for. Without exception the team are fabulous, engaging and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Greensand Care Home
Thank you for taking the time to give us this lovely feedback. It's wonderful to see how well mum has settled in. Our team are dedicated to give the best quality of care and compassion for are residents. Thank you again!
Our parents are now settled and happy, we haven't seen them looking so well cared for, for a long time. They are being gently encouraged to participate in the activities and life has started to be enjoyable for them again.
Visitors are warmly welcomed and Greensands has a real 'family' feel about it. We can't thank them enough.
Thank you for your beautiful feedback. It means so much to us all seeing how well and happy they are both are.
The residents are encouraged to join in with the fabulous events the staff put on and is made fun for everyone.
I am very happy that the management situation is being sorted out.
It is most rewarding to see our residents happy and engaged. Ensuring that friends and family feel just as part of the home.
The absolute best thing about Greensand House is the staff, they are so amazing. They know my mum so well. Mum is well cared for, fed well and entertained. Her room is always spotless. I live a long way away and for me the social media updates are so important, every time there is a post I always scan to find Mum and I cannot put into words the joy I feel when I see her in the pictures.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. It is always so rewarding to share with the families what the residents have been engaging with.
My mum has been at Greensand House for about 15 months and I can't praise the care she receives highly enough. The care staff are attentive and friendly and always professional. Likewise those on reception. Well done to all. I have no experience of other care homes but this is what they should all be like.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us this kind feedback and sharing your experience with us. We are thrilled that mum is happy here.
From our initial contact, to mum visiting, having respite care to moving in, they were all wonderfully kind & helpful. The care, kindness and friendship given by all the carers is exceptional. Mum enjoys the food, an important part of the day. However, they appear to be very understaffed which means requests can take far longer than expected. Unfortunately, on several occasions meals have been delivered late so they are not very warm and a couple of times not arrived. However, the staff work very hard and try to do everything in a timely manner, it's just they need more of them.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review on our staff and services, this is something we have great pride in. We are a growing home and will take on board for staffing ratios to ensure we provide best quality of care and take on board your feedback for this. Thank you again.
Staff are very helpful. Cakes and snacks are nice. My brother is happy and well cared for. It is clean and tidy.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. I am pleased to hear that we at Greensand House continue to deliver the high standards we expect and that your brother is so happy here.
My Uncle seems very happy here.
The cake and refreshments are always welcome.
The staff are friendly and approachable.
My Uncle's best thing is the staff and he feels reassured they're there at the press of a button.
Greensand is a lovely place, just like home. All my friends have been most impressed with it. The staff are all great - that is most important! I'm sure I will be back when my carer has a break - many thanks.
Thank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback. We are all delighted that your friends are so impressed with our home. The staff always go above and beyond to make everyone's care here memorable.
Mum very well looked after for the last 6 months. Would like her hearing aids to be charged every morning and not lost! The toilet area needs cleaning every day as was smelling last week.
Thank you very much for your review, it is always appreciated and we will ensure your points are acted upon immediately.
My first impression of Greensand House when I entered to enquire about a respite stay was a bright, airy, clean and immaculately decorated place reminiscent of a 4-star hotel. A peaceful, calm, happy and friendly place to be. I found it was so much more when I finally arrived for my respite stay. I was made to feel special and I was quickly settled into a garden-view room. As staff change over time, carers pop their head around your door and introduce themselves. Call buttons are answered quickly. Anything requiring fixing in the room is dealt with quickly. There is an excellent menu choice and the chef willingly makes adjustments to individual needs. Excellent variety of activities are provided. I highly recommend this hone. I was sad to leave. I have no hesitation going if I need care again.
We are all delighted that you had an excellent stay with us here at Greensand House. Thank you so much for your positive feedback with regard to the team this will be passed on to each of them. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
From arriving at Greensand House the staff are so welcoming and I always enjoy my visits (3-4 times a week). Activities are greatly improving and are fun for residents and visitors. The building is new, clean, bright, friendly and warm. Wonderful homely environment with lots of smiles.
He was so well cared for he's like a different man, he has been well looked after and well nourished. He particularly commented on how nice the food was and how friendly the chef is and he also loved the activities and watching strictly in the cinema room! The whole home is kept clean and tidy, all staff were always happy to help and clearly love their job.
A huge weight was lifted off my family's shoulders while my grandpa was in your care and I know he will be back when needed.
We would not hesitate to recommend it to others especially to get you back on your feet after a hospital stay.
Thank you to all of the Greensands team, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

Meet the Team (6)

My name is Hannah and I am the Deputy Manager and in-house trainer here at Greensand House.
I have been in the care sector for 10 years now and have loved every minute of it. I believe having compassion and empathy is very important within my job role. I started working with Avery in 2023 and have felt so proud to work with my team at Greensand House. As the Residential Care Manager, I ensure that all care staff are supported within their roles whilst ensuring our residents are receiving high-quality care. I also work very closely with the Team Leaders and assist with all aspects of the care sector including care plans, medication management, reviews, audits and much more. As the in-house trainer, I ensure all staff are fully trained with up-to-date information and knowledge to carry out their job roles effectively.

My name is Boudjemaa Ould-Ameur and I am the Head Chef at Greensand House Care Home.
With over 30 years of experience in the catering industry, I decided to move into the care sector with the opening of Greensand House in 2022. Having previously worked in various positions in London and Surrey, including Junior Sous Chef at the Dorchester Hotel, Second Chef at Rolls-Royce Headquarters, and Head Chef at a number of restaurants and gastro pubs, I knew I would enjoy cooking in the care industry.
At Greensand House I am dedicated to providing the best quality catering, and enjoy tailoring my menus to the tastes and requirements of all our Greensand residents. Drawing on my previous experience as a dietary and nutrition chef at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington and Charring Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, I create nutritious meals presented to the highest quality.
You won’t just find me in the kitchen though, one of my favourite aspects of my role is the interaction with all our residents and making them smile. I look forward to welcoming (and feeding!) many more residents at Greensand House.

Hello, my name is Steve, I am the Head Housekeeper at Greensand House in Redhill.
I have been the Head Housekeeper at Greensand House since August 2022 and previously worked as an assistant housekeeper in a care home environment so have gained valuable knowledge over the last 7 years.
We have a fantastic housekeeping team with many years of experience, not only in Housekeeping but also care. They are a proactive, fun team and have already received much praise for their work.
On a personal note, I absolutely love working at Greensand and having daily interactions with the residents is what I really enjoy. I have three children and a crazy French bulldog called Rocco so when I’m not at work I’m always kept busy.
Greensand House is a beautiful new home with a friendly, caring, and supportive team throughout.

My name is Marina. I am the Head of Recreation and Leisure at Greensand House. I have worked in Nursing/Care Homes since 2007. I worked for big, well-known companies and small homes. Before starting at Greensand House, I was the leading Lifestyle coordinator in a dementia-specialised care home for two years.
I gained experience and knowledge in the care sector by working in different departments and I have completed my NVQ qualification with City & Guilds and special dementia-related courses. I am passionate about providing activities that benefit the well-being of our residents, ensuring that meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities are planned and implemented in the Home for all residents.
The focus of my work is to put the happiness, comfort, and safety of our residents first. I am committed to delivering and creating a wide range of activities to suit each person’s abilities, from physical to mental stimulating games, ensuring the best quality of life for all our residents. Seeing residents smile, laugh and enjoy the life in the home makes my day!

My name is Davide Borges and I am the Maintenance Operative at Greensand House Care Home.
I have been working at Greensand House since August 2022. I love my role, as no two days are the same! One minute l am an electrician, then next a plumber, then a painter & decorator apart of all other things l do!
An important part of my role is the very good relationship I have with the residents, relatives and the staff. I also enjoy driving the minibus and taking the residents on a trip, so they can enjoy all the beautiful places we have around.

I am the Client Liaison Manager at Greensand House.
I will be here to meet and greet you and help with any enquiries you may have. Helping families and their loved ones with their journeys, looking into care.
I have been at this beautiful home since November 2023, and I am very proud to work here with my wonderful team, providing the best quality of care. I come from a care background, both personally and professionally, and it is most rewarding.
