Friendly welcome by Jayson to an amazingly clean and superbly run and designed care home. The facilities and decor are nicely done, to a high quality: including a cinema, pub and various lounges. The care plan was comprehensive, honest and openly shared. The lunch we had was tasty and filling. Daily activities are varied and plentiful, including trips out in the minibus. Mind you, facilities like this do come at a cost, but you get what you pay for.

My mother is 101 and has mixed dementia. The care, food and activities she has enjoyed since moving into Signature at Caversham have been exemplary and even her advanced age has given her a much-improved quality of life.

My husband came for respite in the dementia unit, whilst I moved our family home. I chose Signature at Caversham for its homely environment and smaller, more personal connection with its residents. My husband settled in well and enjoyed the reassurance of a family-type unit and the opportunity to participate in numerous activities of his choice.

My mum has been a resident at Signature at Caversham since opening. She transferred from another care home, so we already had care home experience. At the time of transfer my mum was unhappy, staying in bed all day and frankly didn’t want to continue living. The change in her has been amazing. The care from the staff has been fantastic. She gets up everyday and joins in all the activities offered. Her room is so lovely, having the little kitchenette area allows her to make her own cups of tea and snacks, giving her an element of independence. Whenever Mum has been slightly unwell, the nursing care has been amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. We believe that Signature has given her a new lease of life.

My dear partner, at fifty-four, has advanced Alzheimer's and has had issues at other care homes with aggression but since she's been here, no problems at all. The staff and management are super helpful and really care and I can see that on Celia's face as she smiles so much more now. The home itself is so modern and clean and her room is immaculate, there are many activities for her to do do and the food is top notch. Ten out of ten all round for the care and dignity that she receives - so many thanks.

I cannot thank the staff at Signature Nursing Home Caversham enough. My mum was there receiving end of life care. The level of care and nursing was amazing. They all made my most saddest time special and I felt so supported. Most importantly, they treated my mum with dignity and respect. I am so pleased my mum spent her last days there and I know she was happier there. Thank you.

My husband took residence in Signature at Caversham during March 2023. He needed full time nursing care. He wasn't mobile and was not walking, so it was necessary for him to be pushed around in a wheelchair. Signature Care Homes offer full facilities for a resident not mobile. The carers were first-class and exceptionally caring. My husband was very happy in the home. On a couple of occasions I appeared at his room, the door ajar, and inside I could hear how kind and jovial the carers were, not aware I was outside. This proved to me how genuine the carers were to my husband.

I get good service in the room, specially bathing and personal care and well-being. Very helpful in getting down for me to eat at the restaurant. Very good in checking oxygen levels. Staff are friendly and caring. The entertainment is very nice, specially the sing-along with the hospitality manager.

Mum was transferred to Signature for end-of-life care. I could not have asked for better, more dedicated staff and care. They have been wonderful.

Facilities have been lovely, but the staff make the home, from the kitchen staff who tried hard to cook for Mum, the staff who engaged her with activities, nurses who spoke her language and, in the final days, finding a priest who spoke Italian. The nursing staff were so caring and gentle. Thank you all.

I was struggling after a hip replacement, and local family support would be away for two weeks. Booked in at short notice. The care home was very comfortable and clean. Very well looked after by the friendly staff. Good food, made to feel more like a guest than a customer.

Since arriving at Signature at Caversham, my dad has settled in well and is happy with the care he has received so far. There is a great team to assist with all needs and plenty of activities to participate in. We have been lucky to attend two celebrations, and a great time was had by everyone. Signature put a lot of effort into making sure residents are joining in and are happy. We are made very welcome upon our visits.

My mother was living at another care home nearby when a friend of hers moved to Signature Caversham. She asked me to visit and report back. I was immediately impressed by the building, the staff and the care available, and my mother has now moved to Signature Caversham too. Her room is light, airy and spacious, with a generously sized ensuite bathroom. The staff are all friendly and obliging, helping my mother to settle in and take part in daily activities. She has enjoyed puzzles, flower arranging, baking, decorating china and helping to craft the decorations for the Coronation. She has explored the new garden and got to know other residents. She has a special diet, and the chef has made every effort to offer food that she enjoys. Overall, the feel of Signature Caversham is of a luxurious, upmarket hotel. My mother is very comfortable there, and I have visited often when I have been made very welcome. I happily recommend this care home. Once you see it, you will immediately be impressed.

Signature at Caversham staff and facilities are outstanding. My father, who has advanced dementia, is treated so well, and it is clear to me he is in a better place at Signature than what could be provided at home. He appears happier now and less restless. He enjoys the good food and participates in the many activities arranged on a daily basis, such as gardening, painting, outings etc. Signature has my full recommendation.
