Hampstead Court Care Home is a truly excellent care home! It feels more like a five-star hotel than a care home. The rooms are superb, the service level excellent and the staff are friendly, helpful and highly professional. The facilities and organised activities are also excellent. Highly recommended!

My mother stayed at Hampstead Court for a two-week respite period. The whole process was very professional and efficient and the quality of care is outstanding. The staff are very well trained, caring, patient and compassionate. Everyone is treated with dignity. The food is exceptional too. My mother was in wonderful care at Hampstead Court and I would not hesitate to put her there again for respite or long-term care. I trust the team completely with her care.

I can't thank all the staff enough for their courtesy, kindness and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. I was always greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Hampstead Court has taken wonderful care of my mother. The staff have been so helpful during the time when my mother has been settling in. They are clear, compassionate and straightforward in communication and have gone above and beyond to make adjustments which will make my mother feel comfortable and happy. The home gives superb individualised care with weekly visits from the GP and the priest to look after all physical and spiritual needs.

From the moment I was shown around Hampstead Court I was astounded by the friendliness of staff, the cleanliness and welcoming and homely atmosphere.
The staff couldn't have been kinder and more approachable. We were new to the care system and the staff helped us navigate the person in care's health needs and advocacy.

Hampstead Court really feels like home-from-home (but much nicer!) I can't praise the amazing staff and facilities enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Overall Experience

My 83-year-old sister, who has been living abroad for 60 years, was keen to return to England to see family and friends for what is likely to be the last time. She has mobility issues and needs some daily assistance with showering etc. We have been delighted with her experience staying for a week at Hampstead Court. She received a wonderful welcome and has been looked after really well throughout her stay. All the staff have been helpful, friendly, supportive and very welcoming to family members who have visited her. The accommodation was excellent and she has very much enjoyed the food, activities and overall atmosphere of the care home. We are very grateful to all the staff for enabling such a positive visit.

My partner has been a resident at Hampstead Court for 3 months. From day one all the staff have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome, give support, and make a fuss of her each day.
Many activities are offered each week, including seated pilates, meditation, fitness classes, crafts, and films in the cinema. Visits from outside musicians are also welcome. Also escorted visits to local cafes and coffee bars.

All the facilities are kept very clean and my partner looks forward to each meal.

We're here for a week from Canada to see my aunt and uncle, and it's been a truly good visit. It's wonderful to see how the staff and management take such good care of them and other residents. They are all warm and welcoming and take exceptional care of my aunt and uncle. Their daughter made an excellent choice for her parents by choosing Avery Healthcare Group. Thank you everyone for taking such good care of them.

My parents could not be happier. This home is a home from home and much more. After my dad's first night, he called me to say this place is marvellous and he burst into tears - which were tears of happiness and reassurance. We were so lucky to find Hampstead Court Care Home - Avery Healthcare. At 87 my dad said he has found a new life at Hampstead Court. As a daughter, I am so relieved they are in the best care.

My mum stayed in Hampstead Court Care Home over Easter for two weeks of respite care and was made very comfortable. The rooms and facilities are all brand new and the home has the feel of a comfortable hotel rather than a care home - with coffee and fresh cakes at reception, fresh flowers and tasteful decor. My mum’s friends were made very welcome and she hosted a number of dinners for them in the private dining room. We were all impressed with the food.

There are lots of staff for each resident and my mum was given plenty of individual attention. She especially enjoyed the activities, including exercise classes and film showings.

Ese Esi
Ese EsiJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2022

Ese used to work as a sales assistant, however, seeing her grandmother receive care made her want to make a difference in other people’s lives.

Ese has achieved NVQ levels 3 and 5 in health and social care/healthcare management.

She has now been at Avery Healthcare since March 2022 and lives all of the values.

Her biggest highlight in life is working her way up from Care Assistant to Team Leader to Unit Manager Care/ Training Lead and now to a residential home Deputy Manager.

Ese's role requires being a good listener, strong operating of the home, displaying kindness to everyone and being a team player. Every day, spending time with the residents is something she takes pride in. Ese thoroughly enjoys lending them an ear, listening to their life stories and admiring the experiences they have.

Ultimately a fun fact about Ese, she loves singing and dancing as a form of expression and just immersing herself in a jovial way, and treats the shower like the 02 arena when I’m in full swing

Anthony Pompa
Anthony PompaJob Title:Business AdministratorJoined: 2022

Anthony worked in the finance industry for over a decade and working in the care sector for more than 5 years imposes a great challenge to grow and develop.

His administrative skills are very well suited to this position.

Anthony has the excellent ability to listen and make wise judgments. Having had a senior position in his previous roles this had equipped him with the determination, stamina and resilience that allowed me to bounce back positively and learn from what has not worked.

Working towards excellence with collaboration enabling him to embody the organisation’s values and reputation.

He enjoys every part of his role. Anthony comes to work with excitement and strong motivation at the end of the day he feels he has made a difference in the resident's lives.

Anthony sees his work as an extension of his family. He finds joy and delight in dealing with residents and relatives including staff, enquiries, administrative responsibilities, operational tasks, and lots more.

He collaborates well with his senior colleagues and learns a lot in the wider multidisciplinary arena.

Tim Woolford
Tim WoolfordJob Title:Customer Relations ManagerJoined: 2023
Tim recently joined the Hampstead Court team as Senior Customer Services Manager. In this role, Tim is tasked with promoting the home within the local community, building relationships with other care organisations and handling all enquiries from initial contact, through to 'showarounds', co-ordinating assessments and eventual admissions.

Tim has over 35 years of experience in sales and customer service. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tim worked as a professional photographer for 10 years completing projects for many top UK companies including Argos, Butlins, Jaguar Land Rover, Marriott International and Arora Hotels. In 2021 Tim took on a public-facing role as Centre Manager running a sports centre in Bisley in Surrey. Tim was responsible for all aspects of running the centre from building maintenance and staffing through to customer experience together with the planning and successful delivery of major sporting events.

Working with many customer-focused companies has given Tim first-hand (and ‘hands-on’) experience of what is involved in not just meeting but exceeding customer expectations and how to deliver consistent levels of service. Tim says he is not a big fan of management speak, but firmly believes in the saying that there is no 'I' in the team and the need for all parts of the organisation to work together in supporting clients. Tim also thinks the key to successful customer service is being interested in your clients and that curiosity and enthusiasm can achieve a lot.

Outside of work, Tim sings in a choir, collects classic books and keeps scanning the online car adverts for a vintage MG BGT in a vain effort to relive his youth!
