My husband stayed for two weeks respite. So impressed with the home, clean, friendly and efficient. His room was lovely with en-suite and door straight into the garden area. I could go away knowing he would be safe and well looked after. Highly recommend it to anybody in the same situation.

Thank you so much for your review, I spoke with your husband during his stay and he felt the same, I know that he felt just as relaxed as you, knowing he was safe here with the team. I'm glad you were able to enjoy your holiday and get some well-deserved rest. He was a pleasure to care for and hope to see him again in the future.

Best wishes to you both!

It is now just over 4 weeks since my mother (aged 92) has resided at Barchester Wilton Place Care Home near Salisbury. She started her stay as respite to see if she could settle and has now decided it will be her permanent home. This is a brand new care home (Opened Dec 2022) and my husband and I have visited many in the Salisbury area to find a suitable care home for my mother. This home is by far the best we have seen. The accommodation is superb, the decor amazing, the food excellent, the activities and staff perfect and I could not wish for a better home to look after my mother. Of course, none of this would be possible without the staff. From the start, the sales representatives, the manageress and the administrator have been professional, efficient, caring, helpful and really empathetic. All the care staff are excellent. I am totally relaxed and confident that my mother is receiving the safest and best care possible.

My friend arrived at Barchester Wilton Place Care Home at the beginning of July and I visit her often. The staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. The place is immaculately clean and a credit to the housekeeping staff. My friend says the food is excellent and her dietary needs are always catered for.

Ten out of ten! And thanks to all the staff who work so hard.

Our mother is a resident of Wilton Place, and we are so happy with the loving care she is receiving. Having been cared for at home until after her 100th birthday, we approached the prospect of a care home for her with great reluctance and trepidation when her care needs exceeded our ability to meet them. We need not have worried! From the moment she arrived at Wilton Place, she has been happy there, and we, as a family, who visit daily, have been so impressed with the quality of care she is receiving. Without exception, all the staff are brilliant: professional, yes, but also loving and caring and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure residents are happy and comfortable and treated as people with individual needs. We feel our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother is cherished at Wilton Place and that she receives respectful, excellent care for which we are very grateful indeed.

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in May as respite while our bathroom was being refurbished. We found the staff very welcoming and our rooms very clean and comfortable. Our bedrooms were adjacent which was good as my husband has dementia and is easily confused. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun and taking part in various activities that were arranged.

We booked a respite break for Mum to give her a change of scene and to partly see how she responded to being in a residential setting. Mum has Alzheimer's but has been managing it at home. However, over the last six months, we have noticed her becoming withdrawn and not her usual jovial self. We felt that she would benefit from being in an environment where she would have people to talk to and interact with.
Mum's stay went better than we could have expected. The staff are wonderful and we received a few updates from Wilton Place to let us know how Mum was settling in, which was very reassuring for us. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay and we have made a further booking for July.

Considering residential care for your loved one is a difficult and stressful process. Wilton Place has made this process a lot easier for us. Thank you to everyone at Wilton Place for making Mum's stay such a positive and enjoyable experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Thanks to everyone for making my mum feel relaxed and at home. The carers made mum feel really at ease, tea and cake are my mum's favourites and are in endless supply! Such a lovely and welcoming care home.
My mum loves it, in mum's words "I feel special".

I thought the transition from Mum being at home to being in a care home would be a difficult and challenging time. It's only early, but so far so good, thanks again.

My grandmother has just moved in and is really pleased with the facilities and quality of care. Lovely building with great staff and food. My dad had deteriorated in all aspects of self-care after several hospital stays in the past year. It was as if he had given up on all things living. I to needed a break from the constant house visits and constant cleaning around him.
The first couple of days were indeed bumpy, to say the least, but the team at Barchester quickly responded. My dad's medication was completely reviewed and the correct dosage was then administered. It was as if somebody had switched something on inside as his whole total outlook on life changed immediately. He socialised with other residents and thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and interactions. I haven't seen my dad this positive in many years. We have booked him in again for a stay in July whilst he moves house.
I really couldn't recommend this care home and the team enough. Whilst a little expensive it's probably been the best thing we have spent money on in recent years.
5 stars from me.

Thank you to the manager and your team.

My grandma recently moved into Memory Lane having been cared for at home 24/7 by her family, initially, this was for respite but she settled really quickly and enjoys sitting in the large windows to look out at the trees, birds, train line and garden. There is a great choice of food and she enjoys the dining room experience. The staff have been great in helping us to help her to settle and we have been welcomed to share information and work with the team which has led to a much smoother transition than we could have hoped for. I feel that the staff do know Grandma in just a few short weeks. In her time there she has bounced back from serious illness and this is in part due to their diligence and communication with us and the doctor. Her respite stay has now been made permanent because she is happy and we are reassured that she is getting excellent care.

Wilton Place Care Home is a warm, inviting, excellent care home. My father moved in December 2022, following a stay at another local care home, to be closer to me and also because the facilities far exceeded where he was staying previously. The staff have been utterly amazing at helping him settle, always listening to feedback and queries and dealing with them in a timely manner. The care staff are friendly, professional and kind. Everyone goes out of their way to make him feel at home and are welcoming to family visiting. The facilities are immaculate, as to be expected for a new home but specifically the rooms large and airy, the furniture of high quality, the restaurant inviting and the food very good. There are great activities and the coordinator makes a great effort to ask residents what they would like to have put in place. It's lovely joining my dad for lunch or dinner at the home or stopping in for a coffee. His health and well-being have noticeably improved since he moved in.

Since my husband died in March 2022, my daughter has been my main support. I booked 2 weeks respite care so as to have 24-hour care. I am generally in good health and mobile but I don't feel safe to stay on my own at home. All the staff were very welcoming on my arrival. I settled in as I became familiar with the daily routine. The food was excellent, I enjoyed the activities, especially the visit by the school children, the jazz and knit and natter. The location of Wilton Place is very familiar to me because my husband's office was in Erskine Barracks in the 1970's. I will be happy to return to Wilton Place for a respite stay when the need arises. I have already recommended Wilton Place to friends and neighbours in Wilton.

I came to Wilton Place 48 hours after a total shoulder replacement for 2weeks of respite care and it's been marvellous. Hotel accommodation plus very kind staff, giving me just the right level of help and care, with washing dressing etc until I was able to do it all for myself. And very nice touches such as a welcome card and flowers in my room on arrival.

My mother has settled into Wilton Place Care Home quickly and is comfortable, confident and happy. The staff are warm and caring, and responsive to her needs and my comments and questions. The home is brand new and furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The food is genuinely superb! There are not many residents yet, but the activities programme is up and running and it was lovely to attend a family Italian night this week, with food, wine and live music - everybody from my two-year-old to my 90-year-old mother had a great time! We are very happy with our choice for Mum.

My parents came to stay for Christmas, and my mum wasn't feeling well and ended up being admitted to the hospital. This left us managing Dad, who needs significant care, whilst also trying to visit Mum and support her. We needed some temporary respite care, so visiting the five best care homes in Salisbury and Wilton Place was by far our 1st choice. The facilities and set-up are extraordinary and the local nursing and administrative staff are so kind and lovely. The food is fantastic. Very sadly, my mum died suddenly on 5th January and my dad wants to try living at home in Essex again with a live-in career. However, if that doesn't work or his needs become too much, we will definitely be back. Meanwhile, the administrative team have been so flexible and supportive of our fast-moving situation. I couldn't recommend Wilton Place more highly.
