My 91 year old husband went into the home for end of life care. We already had a positive view, knowing a previous resident, so were happy for George to go there. Throughout his stay we found staff were very caring, kind and attentive to his needs. The home struck us as being well managed and communication with family was very good. It made George's last days comfortable and peaceful. This was a great comfort to our family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience during such an emotional and difficult period for you and your family. It was a privilege for us to care for your husband, George, in his final days.
We are truly grateful for your kind words about our team. Ensuring that...
I am over all very happy with the care he is receiving.

My Dad never attends activities as he prefers his own space and can be very grumpy when doing an activity, so to see him enjoying hearing from the fire fighters and trying on their uniforms in the photos that were taken of him has been the highlight of our day, it brought back some lovely memories for my Dad who in his younger years was a firefighter himself, Unfortunately due to dementia these memories are fading fast so to see him so happy and engaging was magical.
The staff at the home work tirelessly to care for our loved ones and do not get the recognition they so truly deserve, and I am forever grateful for this special treat for my Dad and it really does feel like you are family when they do special events like this
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly delighted to hear how much your dad enjoyed the visit from the local firefighters. It was a very special moment for all of us to see his face light up and to witness him reminiscing about his years of...

We would especially like to thank the managers for their exceptional leadership and dedication. One of them cared for our friend with gentleness and professionalism, always offering patience and compassion. The other brought warmth and reassurance, ensuring that the home was well run and filled with dignity and kindness. Their support extended not only to our friend but also to us as family and friends during such a difficult time.
The wider Heathlands team also went above and beyond to ensure our friend's final days were peaceful and dignified. The home is always clean, welcoming, and nurturing, with staff who treat residents as part of their own family.
Although we are heartbroken by our loss.
Thank you so much for your touching words and for taking the time to share your experience. We are deeply sorry for your loss and send our heartfelt condolences to you, your family, and friends. It means so much to all of us at Heathlands to know that the care, kindness, and support we provided...
My dad was pretty new to heathlands before getting a room there on bluebell I was his carerfor 3 yrs but unfortunately I was told it would be best for him to have all round care my dad had a terrible time in and out of hospital with different infections and then a dementia diagnosis before joining heathlands so I was very worried about accepting a place I felt I was letting him down but he was given a lovely room to stay which was bright and sunny he was able to all his things from home to keep him company & for it to feel home which was lovely I got to know a few members of staff at heathlands & everyone of them was so lovely so helpful with any questions or concerns I had my father stayed with them for about 3-4 months before he passed away in hospital I can begin to tell you how happy & loved they made my dad feel while he was with them I saw a massive change in my dads spirt while he was there to describe it was just pure happiness and full of joy and laughter

To be honest we didn't think he would make it out of hospital
Now he is walking again, eating well and having one to one care. Quite amazing
The owners are changing so we shall see what that brings
Downsides- the help button hardly ever works and my requests for change of room so far haven't been acknowledged.
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback regarding your experience with Heathlands. We truly value & appreciate your comments as they help us to continuously improve the care & service we provide. We apologise for the delay in responding to your request for a room change as we are looking...
My mum was transferred to Heathlands a few weeks before she died but the staff and management were brilliant. They were so kind, caring and could not do enough for us. My mum was treated with the utmost dignity and care. They were so patient with us as we have so many siblings. It was kept so clean, plenty of parking, refreshments for visitors too. Nothing we asked was ever too much.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt message. We are truly grateful for your kind words about the care your mother received at Heathlands. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate and dignified care, and it's wonderful to hear that you felt supported during this challenging time. We strive...
All the staff, care nurses, carers, kitchen staff and the management were excellent to name but a few.
They were all very sensitive to the needs of the patient and the family during visiting.
The doctor seemed to come regularly (Thursdays) I believe was very nice.
Plenty of parking and visiting was not tied to certain times although they preferred you not to visit during mealtime.
Thank you for your kind words and appreciation regarding the care that your husband received at Heathlands Care Home. We are deeply honoured that you chose our home for his end-of-life journey, and it was our privilege to provide him with comfort and support. We are glad to hear that he was happy...
Generally all quite good, sometimes outstanding, and sometimes not so good. Management has improved recently. This has led to an all-around general improvement in all areas, however, they have lost the best member of the entertainment staff and needs to be replaced.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the improvements in management and the overall enhancement in all areas. As you say, our head of activities decided to move on after being with the home for several years. However, we are currently in the process of recruiting a...
My Nan is so happy at Heathlands which she now refers to as her home. She has her own room, the team is consistent and Nan adores her keyworker and praises the other staff. She couldn't ask for better care everyone is so friendly, positive and meets Nan's care needs. There is a nurse on Nan's level at all times who meets Nan's medical needs booking her in with the relevant agencies ie audiologist and chiropodist. The home has fantastic choices of food. The activities team is led by a fantastic team leader, all are enthusiastic, caring and lovely making sure Nan has a great day, they do arts/crafts, coffee mornings and garden visits. The nursing home also arranged for the local day nursery to visit and Nan loved interacting with the children. They also have fun days including live singers for all the family to enjoy. There are regular family meetings and posters where you can keep up to date with what's going on. Nan gets her hair done every other week by a hairdresser who comes to the home.
Dear Danielle, thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of our home. We have an amazing team that works hard to provide the best care and support for residents and their families. So it really is pleasing to receive such positive and encouraging feedback. Your relative is such a...
The care was overall good. The food was very good with a good choice. The care of my uncle's clothes was excellent. The home was very clean and the majority of the staff were friendly and caring. My only complaint was when my uncle died I didn't feel the bereavement care for us as a family was very good.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt feedback and comments, which mean such a lot to the team. We are very grateful that you chose our home for your relative's care. He was such a lovely person, and it was our pleasure to welcome him to our family and look after him. As you can imagine, we miss him...
My mum spent her last six months under the care of Heathlands and we were extremely happy with the way she was looked after here. The staff always made time for a chat with her and were always very kind. Family members who visited her also voiced the same opinions about the home and staff. Her room and laundry were always extremely clean and the cleaning/laundry staff members always made time to chat to my mum too. My mum always said that she had made the right decision about moving into this home and she was very happy here.
Thank you very much for your review. The team and I are delighted that you were happy with your loved one's care. We have fond memories of her joining in activities at the home, especially she loved bringing happiness and smiles, she loved having a good old talk and conversation and loved our...
I was welcomed every day as a visitor, and every staff member from the minute I walked into the home greeted me with a smile, and all showed an interest in Mum. I was very impressed with the way in which families are kept up to date. I had remote access to Mum's care plan and was able to see the current state of her wellbeing. Discussions with the nurses were always professional and realistic. I would certainly recommend Heathlands.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt feedback and comments, which mean such a lot to the team. We are very grateful that you chose our home for your relative's care. She was such a lovely person and it was our pleasure to welcome her to our family and look after her. As you can imagine, we miss her very much. Please accept, once again, our condolences on your loss.
It is also not ideal that some of her room is used to store boxes of medication materials.
My dad enjoys the activities in particular singing.
The home offers extra facilities including a hairdresser and foot care.
Many thanks for your kind review. We are so pleased that you feel our home is warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as clean and tidy. Staff work hard to provide a comfortable home-from-home for your loved one (and our other residents), giving them all the care and attention that they so deserve!
