On the whole my dad is well looked after, there are times when he hasn't been changed as often as he should be, but when we ask the staff are always willing to help. Overall, the carers are very kind and caring towards dad. There doesn't seem to be many activities for those with dementia specifically, so would be nice for some more stimulation. The rooms are clean and laundry done daily. The food is good and the kitchen staff work hard to make sure residents are fed well. Dad is happy and settled here.

The staff are lovely, friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is loving the food (well done chefs). Mum had to move rooms for the bathroom to be done. Everything was moved for her.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to ALL the staff at St. Rita's. My mother was, at short notice provided with a place at St Rita's following a terminal diagnosis and short stay in hospital. From the moment we arrived to her final days, hours, minutes we as a family could not have asked for anything better. What was such an awful time for us as a family was made so much easier and comfortable due to the complete reassurance and care provided by the staff. Everyone from groundskeepers to senior management treated our entire family with such grace, dignity, reassurance and friendliness. Mum's care was so thoughtful and centred around her as an individual not just another resident. The food was fresh, well cooked and balanced. The home was clean and well maintained. Thank you especially to all the nursing staff and care staff for helping us through such a difficult time. St. Rita's you are amazing!!!

My experience of st Rita's has been phenomenal.
Every single member of staff, especially the cat Louie showed such kindness, compassion and care for mum.
Words cannot express how grateful we all have been for being able to spend time together with mum in the knowledge that she was safe when we weren't with her.

St Rita's has air of calmness that is positively uplifting and reassuring.

Overall Experience

Our mother came to St Rita's following a terminal diagnosis in hospital. I could not have hoped for a better place for her to spend the last few weeks of her life. It helps to have wonderful views across beautiful grounds with cattle and their calves grazing, for the whole place to be light, spotlessly clean, airy and welcoming, and for the dining room to serve delicious food. But the most important thing is the quality of the care; there is not one staff member that I could fault. All were kind, caring and professional - both to our mother and to ourselves, her children. We felt completely confident that she was getting the best care possible and in the short time she was there, we felt she was understood as an individual. It wasn't just lip service. When it came to the end of her life it was so reassuring to know that she would get all the care she needed whenever we could not be with her. Thank you St Rita's

On the whole my husband is well looked after sometimes he has not been changed often enough but once I mention it they are always there to help. For someone with dementia, there isn't a lot of mental stimulation, a lot of the activities are for people who do not suffer from dementia. The rooms and communal areas are always kept very clean and laundry is done on a daily basis. Three monthly reviews are not done on a regular basis and have to be requested.

Staff welcoming, care home always looks clean and is warm. Food well cooked. Not worried about safety or security. Activities could be more person specific or one to one interactions. More feedback on patients health and treatments would be appreciated.

The care my mother has received at St Rita's has been excellent. We chose the home because we liked its ethos, and from the moment you arrive the staff are always warm and welcoming. The rooms are good size, comfortably furnished and feel homely rather than institutional. Meals are served in the dining room, giving residents the chance to eat together and socialise. Communication with staff has always been good, providing updates on request. Plenty of activities for residents as well as organised outings. Most importantly, the staff are caring and take time to understand each resident and their individual needs. We like that it is not solely a home for people with dementia which help create a more balanced and supportive environment.

All the staff are extremely polite, kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and they provide some very good entertainment and activities. The chefs produce some excellent and quality menus and I have enjoyed every meal. I love sitting in the garden and looking at all the surrounding countryside and wildlife.

As I visit my friend once a week I have no experience of the activities provided although sometimes she entrusts to me about something like a visit from the singers. I also cannot comment on a safety security or value, for money as I am not privy to these things. The staff are always friendly to me when I visit and my overall impression is that my friend is very happy in this care home.

My mother entered St Clare's in May 2025 when she's had Alzheimer's for around 6 years. She was 90 and was beginning to get bouts of pneumonia. We chose St Clare's because it was beautiful- lovely views, decor, layout, easy access for her family we were all so grateful for the tender, thoughtful care that she received. She died in March her last year of life spent at St Clare's was full of love, laughter, good food and the care of the excellent team. We'll always be grateful.

Dad has been at St Rita's for 15 months now and is very settled. He has benefited greatly from the outside space. The indoor space is good for Dad's pacing. Dad takes part in all the activities and various outings and we are grateful for the stimulation he receives from these. Recently, I had to tell Dad of a family bereavement and we were both well supported during this. All Dad's needs are met promptly and thoroughly. I recently enquired about a bird table for outside his window. The next day one was in situ for Dad to enjoy. Thank you.
