So happy with St Rita’s!
Moved Dad here from another care home after 10 days of ‘respite care’ - he had been stuck in the room at the other care home for his entire stay and bed-bound for the last 4 or 5 days. Moved Dad here and the very next day he was in a wheelchair enjoying meals in the restaurants,
activities and socialising with other residents. All the staff I have met have been great - they all care and live the ‘ethos’ of the home to a tee and the atmosphere in the home is lovely - and also in a lovely position. So glad we found St Rita’s - highly recommend it!

Everyone was kind and caring to my dad and his relatives.
Staff made it their business to get to know him and sensitively meet his needs, and were equally kind and supportive of his relatives.
Thank you all.

My mum had been at St Rita's for nearly three years following a significant stroke in 2020. We always knew that St Rita's was the best place for her to be and were impressed with their level of care. But I have just spent a week at her bedside there, as she entered her final days and was blown away
by the kindness, respect, standard of care and actual love for both my mum and me during this really difficult time. I witnessed first-hand the care home operating 24 hours a day - not just the one hour a week when I used to visit - and saw the whole incredible team: hard-working, caring and simply wonderful. Thank you, St Rita's, for giving my mum the very best care possible.

St Rita’s is a truly outstanding care home, built around amazing people and a wonderful environment.
Set in extensive and beautiful grounds, which are perfect for walks when visiting, the whole place exudes a calm and nurturing atmosphere. It is fairly large but feels small and family. The staff
are genuinely the best and most friendly we have found anywhere.

Mum was really struggling at home, and it was a huge decision to place her into a care home and find one that we had confidence in. From the moment we first visited St Rita's, I knew we had made the right choice for Mum. All of the staff, from the managers to the carers, treat Mum with respect and dignity.
Their priority is always her well-being, health and making her stay in her new home happy. Mum now joins in with the activities and has really enjoyed her trips out. They are always quick to inform us of any changes. I am confident we made the right choice for Mum and would thoroughly recommend St Rita's.

My mother-in-law has Alzheimer's, and I visit the care home to see her very regularly. I have always found the management and staff to be very friendly and efficient. Their main focus is always on the well-being and health of my mother-in-law, and they are very quick to keep us informed on how she is
and any concerns they may have. She is always treated with respect, and the care she received is exemplary. I would not hesitate to recommend St Rita's to anyone.

My dear friend was at St Rita's, and I had the privilege to be with her often during the weeks she was at St Rita's. She had MND. The staff were always attentive and caring - answering every need. I do believe she was in the perfect place for the last weeks of her life. Do not think she could have had
better care. She was comfortable and peaceful. Her family were always welcome.

It was a big decision to move my mum into a home, especially in the pandemic, and we held off as long as possible. But now we have found St Rita's, we know Mum is happy and well cared for. All her anxiety has gone, and the staff and the communication are both excellent. So pleased and recommend to everyone
I know in a similar position.

Mum was really struggling at home with dementia, and after she broke her hip, we needed to find a nursing home that we could have confidence in to take care of and look after her. St Rita's has done exactly that, and considering everything the home has had to cope with and endure as a result of the
pandemic, the management, nursing and care staff have worked very hard to keep Mum safe and well.

I was extremely lucky to be able to have my mum admitted to St Rita's at the beginning of the pandemic. In both homes, my mum has been treated with dignity, care and support. The staff have worked hard through this awful time, and I can relax in the knowledge that my lovely mum has been treated amazingly.
Beautiful setting, lovely, caring staff that go the extra mile. Thank you!

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.611)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.611) out of 10 for St Rita's Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.636 for St Rita's Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (157 Excellents x 5) + (54 Goods x 4) + (14 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 225 Ratings = 4.636
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.975 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Rita's Care Home is based on 19 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.975
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
