Very content with the care provided to my father. I am always kept informed about his health or, for example, if he has a fall. His room is always clean and tidy and he always looks smart and well dressed.

In the main, we have very little to worry about because mum is happy in Lancaster Court and her carers are lovely and we know she is safe and well looked after. The food could be improved and on occasions, mum has a ready meal instead of what is offered. The temperature this summer has been an issue
and we were obliged to buy an air conditioner because at one point it was 92 degrees (F) in her room. This is a problem that needs sorting out.

I have been at the care home now for nine months and I am well looked after and cared for. I have a very nice room which is kept beautifully clean and tidy. I enjoy the food and have made new friends. I would like to be involved in more activities as I am quite fit and able still.

Overall, mum says its a lovely place. She has a nice room. Its kept very clean, and the staff are helpful. As a visitor, I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful.

Mum was lucky enough to be placed here in June 2018 following a very long spell in hospital. From the moment you arrive you can feel the friendliness of the home in all areas, it's just like being in your own home only better.


The staff are all excellent, very attentive and caring at all times

to the residents and also to the visitors, they strive to make it a very welcoming and homely environment and totally achieve this. Activities and differing visitors are arranged for the residents plus outings for those who are able.


The rooms are a lovely size with plenty of space for your own furniture too plus a spacious en-suite. The little tea room is just lovely and to be enjoyed anytime with family and friends. Memorabilia is everywhere, perfect for those with memory problems and great also for those to just enjoy.


Would have no reservations about recommending Lancaster Court.


We can't thank them enough for helping and looking after Mum so well.

Dad (age 96) moved into this home in September and has found the staff caring, respectful and thoughtful. We were able to sort out the few initial problems, mainly to do with changes in medication, with little difficulty. We've been able to take some of his furniture and possessions, and a booster unit
has been installed to give him a connection to the internet. Dad is reassured to be in a place where he has assistance when needed and it has put our minds at rest as well.

Mum settled into Lancaster Court very quickly after a short stay in hospital in early 2016. The staff are very welcoming, caring and friendly and treated Mum extremely well. Her nursing needs were well catered for, to the extent that she has recovered to the point where she has now transferred from
the nursing floor to the residential floor. She enjoys a laugh and joke with all the staff which helps with the friendliness of the home.

Francesca Fosu

Job Title: Home Manager

My name is Francesca Fosu, and I am a registered nurse with nearly 15 years of experience across a range of care settings, including community care and nursing homes.


Before entering nursing, I worked as a court clerk, but the call to nursing was too strong to ignore. Almost 20 years ago, I made the easy decision to train as a nurse, a decision I have never once regretted. Nursing is not just my profession; it is my passion.


I am deeply committed to ensuring that residents are always treated with the utmost kindness, dignity, and respect. I see it as both a professional duty and a moral obligation to advocate for their well-being at all times.


One of the greatest privileges of my role is meeting remarkable people whose life stories could fill the pages of any book. Their experiences inspire me every day.


At Lancaster Court, my focus will be on empowering my team to take pride in the care we deliver, while creating meaningful, enriching experiences for all our residents.
