The management and staff at Anjulita Court are exceptional in the care shown to residents and their families. My mother was a resident for 5 years until her death in April 2026. At all times the staff were attentive to her needs and accommodating to us as visitors. Their caring and flexible attitude
helped make the experience as good as possible, especially in the more difficult days leading up to the end. Highly recommended!
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtIt was our pleasure to support your mother for her time here, her sense of humour was always uplifting. Thank you for the positive comments which we will share with the team here and please know that you are always welcome at Anjulita Court. Kind regards from Ernie and the team.

Mum moved in to the Mill unit in 2021. While no-one would choose to be in a care home with dementia, we were very happy that she was safe. Activities mum enjoyed included music therapy, group music sessions, attending Christian services, playing bingo, having her hair done and time in the hydrotherapy
pool.
Staff always interacted well with mum, even when she was debating the need for her medication.
When it came to what turned out to be the last 2 weeks of mums life, staff were hugely helpful and supportive. My brother and I were able to stay on the unit for the last 5 days. As well as great care for mum, we also felt looked after, both physically and emotionally. Many staff and volunteers came to say goodbye to mum and share their memories with us. Staff were also in attendance at mum's funeral.
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtIt was an absolute privilege and honour to look after your mum. Your kind words about our team mean a lot, especially regarding the support and compassion shown to you and your family. We're also delighted to hear she enjoyed so many of our activities. Thank you for trusting us with your mum's care and taking the time to share your experience. We wish your family well and please stay in touch, you're always welcome any time.

My Mum was admitted to Anjulita Court, Redlands, as her health had deteriorated and she needed 24 hour care. The staff immediately understood her needs and instinctively provided the care she needed. They were compassionate and kind, making her feel at home very quickly. Sadly, Mum's condition deteriorated
further and after a shirt hospital stay, she died. However, I would have been very happy for her to have remained in Anjulita Court, where the ethos and staff make it a very special place.

Very pleased to have found Anjulita Court for my parents-in-law as they are now at a time in their lives where they need extra care. They are settling in very well with the help of the wonderful staff. Dad loves the home cooked food and their rooms are homely, bright and clean. Senior carers on mill
are very approachable and address any needs Dad and Mum might have, family are very happy they are being well looked after.
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtThank you for taking time to leave such as a lovely comment. We are so thankful to the wonderful staff on Mill Unit (dementia unit). They are always so 'good' with mum and very caring towards us as well. Today they made mum's 96th birthday very special for her and us. We thank the kitchen and domestic staff as well as cares, chaplains and volunteers.
She tells
us she is happy living here, and that means the world to us.

Dad came to Anjulita Court for 2 weeks of respite care. I had actively been looking for the right environment for Dad, following a difficult experience he had had previously in another care home. From the moment I stepped into Anjulita, I was greeted at the door and shown around with complete understanding
and empathy. Each member of staff took the time to listen and wanted to know all about my dad and his needs. If there is one word to sum up the culture at Anjulita, it would be 'family'. My dad has felt at home and relaxed throughout his two weeks of respite, and as a consequence, I have also felt the benefit of his full-time carer, knowing that the level of care he has received has been exceptional.
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtThank you for your review and ratings of the support for your Dad. I have passed this positive feedback to the team at Anjulita Court. I am very pleased that your Dad felt part of the Anjulita family for his short stay.

Mum has lived at Anjulita since May 2025. She is very happy there due to the care, support and encouragement she gets every day. Everyone at Anjulita is part of this amazing care - reception, admin, catering, cleaning, laundry, managers and of course care team members. This is why it's so good. Everyone
works to support residents and their families. Having chaplains is also a brilliant help and enjoyed by mum.
When mum has been unwell, she is looked after even more. Much appreciated.

My mum is currently staying at Anjulita Court for her second period of respite, and once again, she is in exceptionally good hands. From the first point of enquiry through to her admission, our experience has been nothing short of outstanding. The staff are extremely professional, thorough, knowledgeable
and above all, genuinely kind. Mum's needs are complex and ever-changing, yet in every instance they have been met with a calm, solution-focused approach. Communication has been clear and reassuring throughout. Anjulita Court sets a very high standard of care, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My mother was very unwell and experiencing significant anxiety when she was admitted to Anjulita Court. She has been gently supported to regain her health and confidence and is now very glad to have moved here. She has enjoyed deciding how to organise her room and has been encouraged to join in with
new activities but also helped to continue to pursue her existing interests. All of the staff from every part of the home work together as a team. They know Mum well and know how to encourage her to be as independant as possible. They communicate very effectively with us as a family and involve us in Mum's care. Mum says that she is very content here and becoming "more content every day".
Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita CourtThank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your mother is feeling happy and settled at Anjulita Court. It is wonderful to know that our person-centred care approach is truly achieved, as we always aim to make our residents feel comfortable and at home. It has been such a pleasure to see your mother regain strength day by day - her smile returning and her growing independence and involvement in daily activities. My whole team will be pleased to know that their work is truly recognised.

I would just like to say how amazing Anjulita Court is. My Auntie is in there and has been in there since the end of December. She has settled really well and is happy. Her room is lovely, the facilities are great, she loves books, there is a library. I was particularly impressed with the research they
did. They wanted to know all about Auntie as a person, not just a client, her likes and dislikes, her past and present, her interests, her achievements etc. She is not just a number on a door, she's a person.
The staff, what can I say, are professional, highly trained, really efficient, really good at their job but also, incredibly kind, caring, funny, they interact with the clients in a way that goes above and beyond their job description. I and my family would like to say a huge, thank you.

Anjulita Court in general is a very well-run care home with amazing staff. The level of care shown to my mother has been exceptional, particularly by the whole care team on Mill. My mother has some complex needs and the staff deal with this brilliantly, accommodating those needs with empathy and care.
I am always updated on her well-being. Everything is always very clean, the food is very good and the staff are warm and friendly. I have experienced a few care homes over the years and Anjulita is by far one of the best I have seen. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my mother is safe and very well looked after. Thank you all and special thanks to all the staff on Mill.

Although I am a friend, I am next of kin to a husband and wife who went into Anjulita Court in May 2023. Every time I went to visit them, they both said they were so happy there and well cared for and they loved the meals. It is such good value for money. Sadly the husband died suddenly just before
Christmas, but their care and support of his wife has been amazing. I know that and the support of another friend who lives there has been a great help to her. The husband wasn't always easy due to dementia, but their care of them both has been above and beyond. I have visited many care homes but Anjulita Court has been the best one I have seen. The manager and staff have always been very caring and helpful to me as well.

As a family, we are very happy with the care that Mum is given. The staff are always very attentive and helpful. They are professional and keen to do everything to make Mum happy and comfortable.
Last year Mum had a cut on her leg. We were informed about it immediately and were well supported during
the time when Mum had to go to hospital and during her subsequent recovery.
In summary, we are very pleased with the care home and would happily recommend it to others.

I can not speak highly enough about this home. My Dad was in respite while my partner and I went away for 12 days and the care was second to none. It is clean, tidy, warm and the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The admin staff, special mention to one man who could not have been more helpful.
My dad only has mobility issues and no dementia concerns and he has said that he would be more than happy to revisit when we have a few days away in the future. We just wanted him to be safe as even though he lives with us and is fairly independent his mobility and stability are not good and he frequently falls. This gives us peace of mind whilst we are away.
Even though my dad did not take part in any activities, his choice, I know from the program that there is more than enough to keep residents occupied.
We have already pencilled in some future dates.

My mother has dementia. The care at Anjulita is excellent, the staff do genuinely care about her and as she has deteriorated and become more difficult they have adjusted very well. They have also supported us as her relatives when we have been distressed by her behaviour.
The modern building is ideal
and the garden a bonus as Mum needs to get outside often, she has had individual care for this and we appreciate that. I cannot express how lucky I feel that we have found a care home where we feel happy that she is well looked after and that she is as happy as she can be in her present state.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.966) out of 10 for Anjulita Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.966 for Anjulita Court is calculated as follows: ( (259 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 268 Ratings = 4.966
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Anjulita Court is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 registered maximum number of service users is 12.4, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
