Every member of staff, including management, maintenance, carers, receptionist and cleaners were very professional, helpful and friendly from my first phone enquiry through admission and my mother's stay. My mum became very anxious at home after a fall and the team were able to check her safely in within
the same day of her wanting to go in. We had already visited Ashbourne court a couple of days earlier.


The carers were always attentive, trustworthy and friendly and very proactive when my mum required medical help. I believe the whole team there wanted the best for the residents and they made me confident that whatever happened my mother would be in very capable hands. They were very diligent in ensuring my mum had the right medicines when she needed them and organised all the care she needed while there.


The management made me feel I could trust them to look after my mum's long term future needs.


The home is clean and comfortable with good food and a relaxed and flexible feel.

My mother has been at Ashbourne Court for about a year now and is very happy and content.
As a family, we are also happy, not only for her happiness but the very professional nursing and daily care that she receives.
All management and staff are always happy, courteous and professional, nothing is
too much trouble.

The staff at Ashbourne Court have cared for my father as if he was their own father, with loving care, support for all the family, good meals, phone updates, with dignity and humour..from the managers, admin team, day and night staff on the Charlton ward have provided a welcome (24/7) support to us
as a family throughout the 20 months and it is usually easy to get through to them. His food has been fine and they are very flexible to provide something else if he objects to the menu. The atmosphere of Ashbourne Court is always welcoming and my dad enjoys having his door open and greeting the staff who make time to chat whenever possible, even coping with my dad's eccentric style and speech and enjoying a banter. It's very difficult to have your loved ones cared for over a hundred miles away but I would choose Ashbourne Court any time and fully recommend their services. I owe a large debt of gratitude to them in making our final couple of years with dad so bearable and even fun!

My wife Mary moved into Ashbourne Court on Thursday 12th April 2018. Her progress in health and ability has been quite remarkable given her situation when she left Salisbury District Hospital. This is due entirely to the excellent personal and professional care, with an overall keenness to please and
comfort both residents and their relations when visiting. The happy smile always emanating from the staff, from cleaner to manager, makes for a very happy and comfortable home. This is best summed up by saying nothing is too much trouble.

My family and I are delighted with the care my mother is receiving from the staff at Ashbourne Court Care Home, Andover. She has Dementia, went to the care home in January 2018 after a fall at her home and is unable to cope with her own care. Initially, when she went to Ashbourne Court, she was very
disorientated and wanted to return to her own home but the care she received then and the care she is still receiving is first class. She now accepts that she will not be able to return home and has settled into the care environment.


She regularly joins in with many activities including recently making an Easter Bonnet, Yoga etc. The management and staff are very professional and we could not wish for a better care service for her.

Following a very serious fall and subsequent hospitalisation with Mum already suffering from Vascular Dementia and NSC Lung Cancer, it was important for us to find a Care Home which we knew she would feel safe in and which would cope with her needs. As soon as we viewed Ashbourne Court in Andover
there was no question that this was the right Care Home for Mum in every respect, offering good sized rooms, excellent nursing and carers who are professional, friendly and very respectful to all the residents, cleanliness excellent, food very good which Mum really enjoyed, even though I visited every day I felt comfortable and enjoyed being there, sometimes even joining in on the events held myself which are very interactive. Thank you to you all.

We were delighted with the home from the first telephone contact. All the management and staff were professional and caring. The information we received in advance was excellent and clear. The assessment procedure was kind and sensitive. The room which Mum had was lovely, spacious and spotless.
Unfortunately Mum deteriorated very rapidly but the end of life care she received and the consideration we were given was superb. We would recommend Ashbourne Court without reservation. Thank you.

The staff at Ashbourne Court have such a friendly disposition, always cheerful mostly from foreign parts always ready with a smile. Domestic kitchen staff, laundry operators and of course management, all contribute to the organised running of this care home and it gets better and better.

My mother has been a resident at Ashbourne Court Care Home for 2 years. The management and staff have always been very caring and also very supportive of the family. The home is very clean and beautifully furnished. There are activities every weekday and also family events at weekends. The tables in

My contact with all staff, especially the Deputy Manager and Administrator/Financial Officer was made pleasant and helpful in all respects.
Respite space was available at once -- great because we were having an emergency -- and everyone was welcoming and friendly.
We would happily ask for permanent
residency if we were looking in this area.

My mother was nursed in Ashbourne Court in Andover for three years and was very happy there. She was always very clean and her room was always clean and tidy. Whenever we visited her, we were always treated very well. The staff were all very friendly and it felt very homely there. Nothing seemed too
much trouble for them.


We never had to complain about anything in the three years she was there and felt relieved that she was being well looked after.


I would certainly recommend Ashbourne Court to anyone and hopefully, in my latter years I will not need care, but if I did, would not be worried about going into care there myself.


I can't thank them enough for making mum so happy.

My mother was a resident for three years until her recent death.
I was wholly satisfied with the care and kindness that were shown to her during her stay and the tireless efforts that were made to encourage her to participate in the social interaction and activities made available for her.
The staff
always managed to get her to raise a smile and spend time listening to her, encouraging her to tell them about her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her memories of her life in Andover.
Her nursing care was exemplary and her dignity was respected sensitively throughout. As a family, we were always kept informed promptly of any changes in her condition and the nursing staff were always happy to make themselves available to discuss her needs.
We were very pleased that our decision to choose Ashbourne Court Care Centre to look after my mother during the final years of her life, proved to be the right one, and would not hesitate to make the same choice again.

Job Title: Home Manager

“You cannot provide the best care by simply reading from a book. You need a kind and caring heart to deliver this. It’s much more than a job and it’s so rewarding when you fulfil the needs of residents.”

Raj has worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 20 years and joined Ashbourne Court in 2011. He is a Registered Nurse, who is passionate about elderly care.


What do you enjoy most about your job?
As a nurse, I really enjoy caring for the elderly, so I knew working as the Manager for Ashbourne Court would be a good fit and extremely rewarding. I really enjoy being responsible for organising care that is specifically tailored to residents’ needs. It’s fantastic how the team work together and I really appreciate the support in place to deliver high-quality care to residents.


What are your favourite hobbies and pastimes?
I consider myself an amateur photographer and enjoy playing cricket.


Are there any highlights in your career you are particularly proud of?
I am incredibly proud of our home achieving an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ in our latest CQC report in 2019, and being recognised as an outstanding care home manager!

What are your Qualifications?
I worked as a student nurse at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Once I had qualified, I worked as a nurse before becoming a deputy manager at a care home and then progressed to be a home manager.
