The manager goes above and beyond to help and answer any questions we have.
I would like to say a special thank you to the unit manager, the care assistant and another member of staff. These carers always come and chat to me and let me know what Mum has been up to, as I don't see Mum every day.
The chef, her door is always open and she was truly lovely about reassuring me that all Mum's dietary needs are being met.
Mum enjoys the activities, especially bingo and dominoes. It's lovely when they invite singers into the home. She loves a little dance!
Thank you so much for your review, I will share your comments with our team. As you know, we are focused on life enrichment that our residents will benefit from on a daily basis. Thank you, one more time, for your review.
All staff are friendly and caring. Overall I am really pleased with the home. Will be fantastic once fully refurbished.
Thank you for your kind words, I truly love my job here supporting residents and families, I'm glad you feel like you can always come to me about any worries. We strive to do our best by our residents and are always looking to improve where we can. Thank you for your feedback
Staff are great.
I'm glad I have been able to assist you with the care of your mother, she certainly has settled in quite well now. We do pride ourselves on person-centred care, ensuring all our residents are made to feel special.
My elderly father transferred to Barchester Hampton Grove Care Home around a month ago from another care home. The level of care and support he has been shown has been outstanding. All staff have been amazing in helping his transition run so smoothly. Staff are friendly and approachable, willing and happy to help with anything to support him and have always put my dad’s health and well-being as their number one priority. He is being cared for with respect and dignity in a lovely environment where he is being encouraged to remain as independent as he possibly can. What has stood out the most is the fact he has been treated as an individual. The level of support offered to me has been invaluable also. Having had a negative experience at another care home, I have nothing but thanks and gratitude to all at Hampton Grove for their support. His well-being has improved greatly in just the short time he has been a resident and I am in no doubt that this is due to the high level of care he is being given by staff on a daily basis.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. I am so glad that you, your father and your family had such a positive experience. The home works really hard to instil a warm, resident-centred atmosphere. I will pass on your comments to the staff team as a thank you.
My overall impression of this care home is 10/10. I know that my mum is satisfied and happy here. The staff do their best for her. Every time I come, my mum is clean and tidy. My mum has a language barrier, but her lack of knowledge of English does not deter her from her satisfaction in this care home. Her room is always clean. She is also satisfied with the food and drinks provided here. She talks to me about the staff as if they were her friends. Also, the management of this care home is doing their best for me and my mum.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback; this will be passed on to the team.
The management is always there to answer any questions and help anytime.
If you do have a problem, it is always resolved straight away.
The care team are wonderful with Mum, she is always showered, dressed, well taken care of and she is always treated with dignity and kindness. She has lovely meals provided as well as the extra cups of tea and cake! There are lovely trips to go on and entertainment each day provided by the excellent activities team. All of the staff, whatever their role in the care home, are simply amazing! They always make you feel welcome when you visit and they all help each other out. It's never easy having a loved one go into care but I know when I leave her after a visit, she is safe and very well looked after.

What can I say about this place? My uncle came here for some respite after a short spell in hospital, he liked it that much he decided he wanted to stay full-time which was amazing, he enjoyed the activities and started making new friends, he wasn't here for long as we lost him in January and even after I lost him, the staff were still amazing. I often think about what he would be doing or where he would be adventuring to with the activity staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I wish I had written this sooner but been struggling.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, this will be pasted on to the team.
Oh my goodness, this care home is amazing! My mum went In for respite and settled in so well she stayed! All the staff have been amazing to my mum and my family. My mum had her birthday in there Tuesday and they spoilt her and even made her a cake. They make sure all her needs are met and are always helpful and cheerful. Thank you Hampton Grove. Also all the pictures on social media are lovely too.

All members of staff are easily approachable. Residents come first. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your review. I will share your comments with our team. Thank you once more for this review.
Mum became unresponsive, but the care home did not notice, when informed by a visitor, they said "She's asleep".
Mum's call bell had been taken from her room, so we will never know if she tried to get help or not.
My mum died later that day in A&E, without ever regaining consciousness. The level of care afforded my mother was completely unacceptable. The Senior staff member was unhelpful and rude to us and Paramedics, giving false and misleading information to the 999 call handler and paramedics.
Months on, still no explanation of when or why Mum’s buzzer had been disconnected and removed. To be fair, some of the more junior staff were very caring towards my mother during her stay and treated her kindly. If you are considering using this home for a loved one, be very careful. They present a great front, but behind the facade and glossy sales pitch, it is a very, very different place.

I came for respite care for a month back in July. I loved it so much that I returned and became a permanent resident here at Hampton Grove. The staff are lovely and caring, they respect me and give me dignity at all times. I enjoy going out with activities. I have now become the resident ambassador for the home.

Have visited my lovely elderly friend on many occasions now. The staff, carers and administration have all been very efficient and nothing has been too much trouble. They provide considerate care for each individual's needs (speaking only from what I have witnessed with regard to my friend and what has been seen around others gathered in the same area at the time). Residents seem happy in this environment and it looks very homely.

As I've written previously, relating to my overall experience with Barchester Hampton Grove Care Home, this one solely relates to the activities team. My mother had a wonderful experience with an owl this week when the Birds of Prey team visited the home. My mother wasn't in the lounge when the birds were being shown, but the activity team made sure to bring the owl to my mother's room so she wouldn't miss out on the event. We very much appreciate their kind thoughtfulness for making the effort to include her in the activity, and we now have a great picture of my mother chatting with the bird! Thanks so much for going the extra mile to ensure residents are included and engaged!

I have only been once and I found the residence was excellent. My sister is happy there. She was a bit depressed I find the reason for this was that her friend stopped visiting her. Her friend phoned me to tell me she was not going back because no one told her what was going on. Now I've found her I will visit as often as I can.
Came to visit my grandad with my grandson and other members of the family and was well looked after. Thank you so much. Really did appreciate it. Great members of staff, and Grandad seems well looked after.

Hello, my name is Stefan, and I am working as a General Manager at Hampton Grove. I began my journey with Barchester in 2015, starting as a carer and progressing to Clinical Lead and deputy manager before becoming General Manager in September 2025.
My background includes degrees from both nursing school and law school, which equip me with a diverse skill set to enhance my ability to provide high-quality care for our residents. Hello, my name is Joshua, and I am the Deputy Manager here at Hampton Grove.
I am a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing. I completed my nursing education in India, where I gained valuable clinical experience working as a nurse in an international hospital, including the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). These roles allowed me to develop critical care skills and a deep understanding of patient-centred care.
In 2021, I relocated to the United Kingdom and began my career as a Senior Care Assistant. Through hard work and commitment, I progressed to a nursing role with Barchester Care Homes, where I continued to build my clinical expertise and leadership skills.
I am currently working as a Deputy Manager at Hampton, where I play a key role in overseeing care delivery and supporting both staff and residents. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and take pride in supporting residents and their families with empathy, compassion, and dignity.

Hi, I’m Peter Nightingale, the Resident Family Ambassador here at Hampton Grove.
My connection to Hampton Grove is deeply personal, as my wife, Karen, is a full-time resident here. This unique perspective allows me to understand first-hand the journey that families go through when a loved one moves into care. As an ambassador, I act as a friendly and familiar face for other residents and their families, offering a bridge between home life and our community.
You’ll often see me around the home, whether I’m socially engaging with staff and families or rolling up my sleeves to help out. I particularly enjoy getting involved with our activities programme or spending time in the garden, helping to keep our outdoor spaces vibrant and welcoming for everyone.
I’m always happy to have a chat and share my experiences, so please do say hello if you see me about!

Care is my true passion. I feel incredibly blessed to give back and support our residents every day. Quite simply, my job makes me happy and proud. I am ambitious and hardworking, qualities that led me to become a finalist in the Barchester Care Awards in 2025. My goal is to ensure that every resident here enjoys a life-enriching experience that is truly their 'best life'.
Outside of work, I’m very close with my mum and the rest of my family. We all share a huge love for travel, and the furthest I’ve explored so far is the Caribbean! When I’m not planning my next trip, I love socialising and spending quality time with family & friends.

Since moving to Peterborough, I enjoy going for long walks most evenings. I am currently learning how to play the piano and how to crochet. I love spending quality time with my children, and I recently completed a Level 5 course in Nutrition.
