We came to see our grandad with my brother and sister and their kids, and the staff made us feel very welcome. They set up a room with cakes and coffee and really looked after us. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely place and Grandad couldn’t have been happier.

I have had experience of a care home before and was not prepared for the pleasant surroundings and the very kind attitude of all the staff. Not only is my partner feeling valued and settled and all her needs attended to with unbelievable patience. I am also now healing from a terrible few years. Thank you so much for your "care" home.

Wow, what a treat! Mother was 103 and she was so spoilt. She was rather speedy in her youth so she was treated to a ride in a sports car! A party was arranged with entertainment, all this provided by the home. We will have such happy memories of this special day, all thanks to the wonderful staff. Mum had forgotten the experience two days later so a member of staff showed the tv clip to her twice so she was able to remember. This home goes above and beyond. Thank you.

I have been lucky enough to spend 17 days at Hampton Grove Care Home after a full hip replacement surgery. During this time I found every member of the staff to be helpful, kind and patient. Excellent service-Well recommended. I would like to make three suggestions: Hooks to be provided in bathrooms for towels and clothing. Also, a gong would be useful to call residents to the dining room at mealtimes and every resident to be informed of the fire procedures on arrival at the home.

We were very emotional and torn having to decide to take Dad out of his home and into the safety of a care home, but all the staff and management at the care home have been so friendly and approachable and have worked with us on any teething problems along the way.
Dad took a month or so to properly settle in, which is to be expected - it's a big change, but the carers have been amazing at building a rapport with him and making him feel more at home.
When Dad has been poorly or had additional care needs, the staff are quick to notice and organise doctors and nurses when needed. They keep in close contact with us on matters too.
I can recommend Barchester Hampton Grove as a well-run and caring place for your loved ones with dementia as we have had a positive experience there for the last 3 months.
Thank you once more for taking the time to do a review and provide great feedback.
Good overall.
Thank you so much for your review. It is always lovely to receive good feedback about the team here at Hampton Grove.

These roles allowed me to develop critical care skills and a deep understanding of patient-centred care.
In 2021, I relocated to the United Kingdom and began my career as a Senior Care Assistant. Through hard work and commitment, I progressed to a nursing role with Barchester Care Homes, where I continued to build my clinical expertise and leadership skills.
I am currently working as a Deputy Manager at Hampton, where I play a key role in overseeing care delivery and supporting both staff and residents. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and take pride in supporting residents and their families with empathy, compassion, and dignity.

Hi, I’m Peter Nightingale, the Resident Family Ambassador here at Hampton Grove.
My connection to Hampton Grove is deeply personal, as my wife, Karen, is a full-time resident here. This unique perspective allows me to understand first-hand the journey that families go through when a loved one moves into care. As an ambassador, I act as a friendly and familiar face for other residents and their families, offering a bridge between home life and our community.
You’ll often see me around the home, whether I’m socially engaging with staff and families or rolling up my sleeves to help out. I particularly enjoy getting involved with our activities programme or spending time in the garden, helping to keep our outdoor spaces vibrant and welcoming for everyone.
I’m always happy to have a chat and share my experiences, so please do say hello if you see me about!

Hi, I’m Maria Poghirc, the Unit Manager here at Hampton Grove. My journey with Barchester began in 2024 at one of our sister homes in Lincolnshire, where I was a Peripatetic Senior Carer. In November 2025, I was thrilled to join the Hampton Grove family in my current role.
Care is my true passion. I feel incredibly blessed to give back and support our residents every day. Quite simply, my job makes me happy and proud. I am ambitious and hardworking, qualities that led me to become a finalist in the Barchester Care Awards in 2025. My goal is to ensure that every resident here enjoys a life-enriching experience that is truly their 'best life'.
Outside of work, I’m very close with my mum and the rest of my family. We all share a huge love for travel, and the furthest I’ve explored so far is the Caribbean! When I’m not planning my next trip, I love socialising and spending quality time with family & friends.
