I have been lucky enough to spend 17 days at Hampton Grove Care Home after a full hip replacement surgery. During this time I found every member of the staff to be helpful, kind and patient. Excellent service-Well recommended. I would like to make three suggestions: Hooks to be provided in bathrooms for towels and clothing. Also, a gong would be useful to call residents to the dining room at mealtimes and every resident to be informed of the fire procedures on arrival at the home.
Thank you so much for your review. It is always lovely to receive such great feedback with regard to the team and care and activity here at Hampton Grove. I will share your positive comments and suggestions with the team. We are focused on life enrichment that our residents will benefit from on a daily basis. Thank you once more for taking the time to do a review for us.
We were very emotional and torn having to decide to take Dad out of his home and into the safety of a care home, but all the staff and management at the care home have been so friendly and approachable and have worked with us on any teething problems along the way.
Dad took a month or so to properly settle in, which is to be expected - it's a big change, but the carers have been amazing at building a rapport with him and making him feel more at home.
When Dad has been poorly or had additional care needs, the staff are quick to notice and organise doctors and nurses when needed. They keep in close contact with us on matters too.
I can recommend Barchester Hampton Grove as a well-run and caring place for your loved ones with dementia as we have had a positive experience there for the last 3 months.
Thank you once more for taking the time to do a review and provide great feedback.
Good overall.
Thank you so much for your review. It is always lovely to receive good feedback about the team here at Hampton Grove.
I am a Pets as Therapy volunteer and visit with my dog Herbie every fortnight, who the residents and staff love. The home is always welcoming and it is obvious that the staff go to great lengths to promote a caring and happy atmosphere. The ladies that run the life enrichment programme are tireless and the residents here benefit from many activities and outings. Definitely the best care home I have visited.

We are focused on life enrichment that our residents will benefit from on a daily basis. Looking forward to seeing you again.
The activities are always entertaining and very suitable for her limited mobility. She had trips out to the coast and a visit by a horse! To name but a few.
Sadly my mother passed away in August and at this time she was treated with such respect and love we were very touched. A safe and friendly environment for your loved ones.

Our family would like to say a big thank you to all staff at Hampton Grove who looked after Dad during his recent respite stay. Being welcomed on arrival, and receiving wonderful care made his stay enjoyable, restful and happy. He especially enjoyed the food, along with the stimulating and engaging activities and interacting with the other residents. Once again thank you.

I wouldn't want my Mum to be anywhere else. Mum has dementia and Alzheimer's and is looked after very well. They always call me if anything untoward and also to update me on anything to do with Mum. Mum thinks she's in a Hotel and she might as well be as the staff treat her lovely.
We value your feedback and will share your comments with the team, who work hard to deliver high standards of life enrichment at all times.
I requested to return to Hunstanton, to bring back my memories. The activities team took me back to paddle in the sea.

My aunt appears to have settled in well. The staff are very attentive to her needs. It is early days yet but we are hopeful that our first impressions are correct!
Thank you for making the lovely room available for our friend's party. She got a lovely surprise, especially seeing four friends and receiving a card from her daughter in Australia.
You're more than welcome, we're very lucky to have such facilities available for our residents, friends and families. We're pleased you all had a lovely time. Thank you for the review, it's much appreciated.
Our friend's birthday. Thanks to the staff for catering, especially the cake.

I only saw the dining room, it was very nice. I have not seen my friend's room. It would have been better to do a review on my second visit when I have had more time with my friend.

My aunt has been in Hampton Grove since January 2022. I have always found the staff very caring to all the residents. She has been encouraged to interact with other residents in the lounge/dining room and participate in any craft/events. The nurses and carers have helped me on numerous occasions, explaining different issues or if she is upset when I leave. All her medical needs have been met, and I'm always informed and supported. Thank you for your care home.

I find all staff, including the receptionists, very helpful. My wife appears to be well looked after and has settled in quite well. Although I only visit once a week, the carers keep me well informed of her health and situation, for which, I am grateful. On the whole, I'm well satisfied with everything as this gives me peace of mind, for which, I am most grateful.

I completed my nursing education in India, where I gained valuable clinical experience working as a nurse in an international hospital, including the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). These roles allowed me to develop critical care skills and a deep understanding of patient-centred care.
In 2021, I relocated to the United Kingdom and began my career as a Senior Care Assistant. Through hard work and commitment, I progressed to a nursing role with Barchester Care Homes, where I continued to build my clinical expertise and leadership skills.
I am currently working as a Deputy Manager at Hampton, where I play a key role in overseeing care delivery and supporting both staff and residents. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and take pride in supporting residents and their families with empathy, compassion, and dignity.

Hi, I’m Peter Nightingale, the Resident Family Ambassador here at Hampton Grove.
My connection to Hampton Grove is deeply personal, as my wife, Karen, is a full-time resident here. This unique perspective allows me to understand first-hand the journey that families go through when a loved one moves into care. As an ambassador, I act as a friendly and familiar face for other residents and their families, offering a bridge between home life and our community.
You’ll often see me around the home, whether I’m socially engaging with staff and families or rolling up my sleeves to help out. I particularly enjoy getting involved with our activities programme or spending time in the garden, helping to keep our outdoor spaces vibrant and welcoming for everyone.
I’m always happy to have a chat and share my experiences, so please do say hello if you see me about!

Care is my true passion. I feel incredibly blessed to give back and support our residents every day. Quite simply, my job makes me happy and proud. I am ambitious and hardworking, qualities that led me to become a finalist in the Barchester Care Awards in 2025. My goal is to ensure that every resident here enjoys a life-enriching experience that is truly their 'best life'.
Outside of work, I’m very close with my mum and the rest of my family. We all share a huge love for travel, and the furthest I’ve explored so far is the Caribbean! When I’m not planning my next trip, I love socialising and spending quality time with family & friends.
