Aire View Care Home in Kirkstall is one of two Avery homes based in Leeds. It has been serving Yorkshire for the past ten years with residential, dementia and respite services and has gained top quality status from Leeds City Council.

The home warmly welcomes couples or companions to continue their care journey together.

The standard of excellence is reflected in the one-to-one care and holistic attention given to all residents, whatever their needs.

Families are also offered support and encouraged to join in the life of the home.

The home offers a variety of facilities open to residents daily. They can catch a film in the home's cinema or pamper themselves by having their hair and nails done in the hair salon and nail bar. If it's a bit of downtime that the residents require, then they can take full advantage of the relaxation room. The café offers the perfect place for residents to catch up over a coffee or a cup of tea with relatives or fellow residents.

A minibus enables residents to get out and about. Residents visit the local theatre, pubs, garden centres and can even make a trip to the Leeds Liverpool canal.

Aire View is an excellent care home. My sister has been in Aire View for just over 15 months - she seems to have settled in very nicely. The staff are all very good with my sister - which I'm really pleased with.

My mum moved into Aire View in January 2022 and it was one of the hardest decisions I had to make. But the care that is provided is first class. She is well looked after and safe which is a blessing for me as I live in Ireland. I cannot get to see her as often as I would like so the home arranges weekly
Skype calls between me and Mum which is great. Every member of staff that I have met has been kind, caring, and empathetic and I would recommend Aire View to anyone having to make the decision to put their loved one into a care home. They are a fantastic team and willing to go that extra mile.

I am so happy that my mother is settled and well cared for at the home. Every visit I can see for myself that she is doing well and the staff all seem genuinely committed to the welfare of the residents. The home is a lovely clean, light, and airy environment and my mother's room overlooks the garden,
so it is always a pleasure to visit her. As a former support worker, I can say from experience that Aire View is one of the best run and most presentable homes I have come across. I am so grateful to the staff who make my mother's later life so pleasant.

Mum has recently moved into Aire View and I am impressed by the warm and friendly staff - not just the welcoming receptionist and home manager, but everyone is so helpful. Mum originally came for a 3-week respite and now is staying permanently! I cannot thank you all enough for the care and support
you have given me and my mum - you have all been through a horrid year with the pandemic and it's great to see you all so happy and positive. I now don't worry about mum as I know she is well cared for and safe.

Dad spent approximately 2.5 years at Aire View. Had it not been for lockdown he would have left in 2020. From Day 1 the staff 'trained him' that help would not come when required. Consequently, he had to suffer the indignity of using 'continence knickers' despite knowing when he needed the toilet because
sometimes he had to wait over an hour for help to get him to the bathroom. Furthermore, the staff did not help to keep his clothes clean at mealtimes to compensate for his Parkinson's symptoms. In his final 24 hours, the staff failed to communicate the meaning of 'Fast Track' to my brother. They also only permitted a 30-minute visit which resulted in Dad dying alone and without a loved one. I can never recommend Aire View as a care home.

My mother stayed at Aire View recently for respite. I honestly could not have asked for more, the carers were wonderful with my mother, she was happy, well looked after, and had a lovely time. All staff at Aire View have been exceptional. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Wonderful care home with a dedicated manager who has, and continues to run a great home. The care staff are really caring and keep my mother safe. Food is super and a great variety. Every time I visit Aire View Care Home the staff are always so professional and polite. My Mum is very comfortable and always seems happy there and the carers keep her looking clean and tidy. Over Covid lockdown issues, their visiting regulations and procedures have been excellent and provided a visiting
pod in the garden (which is fabulous) to help with providing more visits since things have opened up in care homes. A great care home.

Thankfully visiting your loved ones at Aire View and like many other homes, they are continuing to work towards getting back to a 'more normal' experience. On my recent visit I was happy with the way the home is run, my mum is well and happy, the staff are all friendly. In general I have been pleased with the way the home has been run during Covid (not an easy task). As usual, the gardens are lovely for the residents to sit in.

The kindness, care and attention Mum receives is excellent. All the carers are so attentive and always ensure Mum is comfortable. They always make sure she looks lovely. Aire View is generally well maintained with lovely gardens. It is peaceful considering its location, and pleasant. The staff are caring and accommodating with Dad and also when we ring/visit. They often go above and beyond with their care/service. it has been a hard year but they have continued to provide

Michelle is the first point of contact for all enquiries to the home. From telephone to show arounds to admission, Michelle will be there to support you from start to finish.


Michelle has a wide range of skills, having worked for over 15 years in the health and social care sector, working at a management level.


Michelle adopts a friendly, supportive approach, and in her spare time she enjoys spending time at her caravan with her family and travelling.
