Overall Experience
Accompanied my mom, other residents and staff members on a trip to a local Canal Trust.
It was an amazing day with a boat trip and picnic.
The staff were superb and extremely caring and aware of all aspects of the needs of the group.
My anxiety about the enormity of what they were undertaking was quickly quelled.
We had a lovely time.
I have been very satisfied with the quality of care my mom has received at East Park Court and can feel that she is well looked after when I am not visiting.
The food is very good and she can make choices, you can often smell a roast dinner cooking, made fresh on the premises.

Looking forward to seeing what the next trip will be with my 93-year-old mom who has Dementia.

Recently found my Mum's hearing aid, one half in her ear, the mould missing and still is. Things like this seem to go unnoticed. I don't think there is enough communication between the resident and the next of kin. Also, she has quite a lot of clothes but they don't seem to vary what she wards day to day. The hems on her trousers are coming down, no one has informed us, found out for ourselves, hence my Wife is taking her sewing box. Also, she has whiskers on her chin and I'm the one who has to ask for them to be shaved. Her nails are a disgrace with horrible brown stuff under them so had to ask for them to be cut. Personal hygiene could be better!!

After viewing several care homes in the area came out with this one and said 'That's the one'. I was not disappointed when my Sister moved in. I have only praise for the care she received and, more to the point, so does she. She is treated with respect at all time, she is relaxed and has started earing again, putting on half a stone in 10 days. All the carers I have met are friendly, caring and experienced and this makes for a very happy environment. I hope I am as lucky when my time comes!

Overall Experience

My father-in-law had been in East Park Court for 2 years, being diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and unable to look after himself. Unfortunately, in November 2017, he took a turn for the worse and stopped eating. The staff at the home were truly wonderful with him with their care and patience. He went into hospital mid-November 2017 and it was obvious he was dying (he was 95). The manager did everything she could to get dad back to the care home to be with them when he passed away. Unfortunately, it never happened as the hospital couldn't get a special bed to the home in time. All of the staff at the home were fantastic with is and dad during the run-up to hospitalisation.

I moved into the home for ten days whilst my carer went on holiday and I had my own private room and received personal attention at all times.
I am on a diet and careful thought was given to me in what I could eat.
I am a cripple but that did not influence the necessary extra help I needed.

I would willingly attend the home again.

My dad was very poorly when he came to the home. He had been in hospital for 5 weeks and was extremely thin and frail. He had no appetite and was very unsteady.

Since being here, he has gained weight and is much more his old self. His mobility has improved and he can do so much more for himself. The care that he has received has been exceptional. The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The quality of the food is excellent and the encouragement that the staff offer is brilliant. I can find no fault this is a great team and is led by a fantastic management team.

You can't fault the staff or home, they were so warm to us as a family of a resident. Unfortunately, our mum passed away on Good Friday. They treated her with unbelievable dignity, answered all our concerns, also nothing was too much trouble.
