I came to live at Foxton Court following a stroke which left me with a paralysis to one side.
The staff have been very patient and caring in helping me come to terms with my disability.
The home is beautifully decorated and very clean, you can bring in your own pieces of furniture to make your room seem home from home.

The food is good and there is lots of choice throughout the day.

I have received continual loving care in every respect since I came. The staff are just amazingly compassionate and hard-working.

I was glad to have a commode in my room at night.

My experience of this home is a positive one. My mother is well cared for here, and her needs, for the most part, are well met. The staff, in particular, are excellent. They are kind and considerate. They are gentle and very caring. She says so herself. They also interact well with relatives and have time to talk. My mother seems calm and relaxed when I visit. I am pleased that they now have a good activity programme for residents, as that is so important! It is difficult for my mother to make relationships as she is blind, so in a way, she needs more individual care, which I know is difficult.

Thank you for your review; we value all feedback, as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are looking at implementing more 1-1 well-being sessions for residents who would benefit from these sessions, and we have purchased some headphones so Mum can enjoy and participate in the group quiz.

The care my mum has received during the three weeks she has been here has been absolutely first-class and outstanding. Mum's health has improved dramatically since being here, and it is fantastic to see her so settled and happy. I cannot recommend the staff enough; they are so caring, attentive, warm, friendly and absolutely first-class. As a family, we would highly recommend Foxton Court Care Home - they are brilliant.

Everything is good or excellent apart from the room. It is quite dark with a small window and a partly sloping roof. Overall, this makes it feel a little claustrophobic.

Excellent staff, they are very patient and kind with my grandad and the family. He feels very comfortable and at home and has often referred to the home as a five star hotel. Food and activities are great, home is always clean and tidy.

The care my dad receives is generally good, he is well looked after. He reports that all the carers are good And treat him with respect.

The food he gets is good although he would prefer his main meal in the evening.

Foxton Court is very well managed. The staff are very caring and friendly and always have time to speak to you. The rooms are comfortable and clean and very functional. There are lots of drinks and snacks on offer as well as great breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. Since my mum has been a resident, I know she is safe, clean, warm and gets her medication, which is a great comfort to me.

My husband had multiple health issues and very poor mobilities. I visited every day. Both he and I were given respect, dignity, kindness and thoughtful care from all staff. This ethos went all the way to end-of-life care.

Both residents I visit seem settled and contented. One person with Alzheimer's is always treated with courtesy and respect whatever his mood. My friend's family members are supported and kept very well informed of their family member's needs. I have nothing but great respect for all the staff I have contact with. What a lovely caring and happy care home.

Understaffed. The manager, who doesn’t listen to concerns and often doesn’t act on them. Chase for payment a month ahead.

Wouldn’t use them again.

Foxton Court is a pleasure to visit due to the friendly staff and attractive entrance. The reception area is elegant and has no smell which is a good bonus. It's lovely that we can now pop in to visit, we are never met with an "it's you again" attitude.

Our mum moved into Foxton Court 2 weeks ago as she was unable to look after herself in her flat. I cannot express how happy we are with Foxton. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Mum is really enjoying herself and taking part in activities each day. The food is great.

Review from Kelly W (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 19 April 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Overall I am very disappointed with the care my father-in-law received in Foxton. The management team over promise and there is a staff shortage. My father-in-law had the same socks on for 4 days, was then eventually showered and then the same socks were put back on. They were not even his socks despite me pointing this out to 3 different staff. We were also disappointed with the professionalism of a worker that attended an assessment as a representative of the home. They were giving incorrect information and when questioned would change their mind. It was like they were talking about a different resident. One of the workers had a great bond with my father-in-law and if it were not for him I think his respite time would have been unbearable. The home looks fabulous. On a visit, the staff says what you want to hear, my experience is that the reality is completely different. All in all a very stressful experience.
