My mother moved into Berkeley Court just over three weeks ago, and the improvement in herself is 100% from the last place she was which was intermediate care. The staff at Berkeley are so helpful and friendly, and nothing was too much bother for them. Big thanks for making my mam returning to her normal happy self.

My mum recently became extremely unwell quite suddenly whilst in the care of Berkeley Court. Emergency help was called and I was contacted as the next of kin immediately. The staff kept me informed and took care of Mum until she was admitted to H+E. I am eternally grateful for their quick action and response to my mum, who is now well recovered and doing well. Thank you all for your concern and well wishes throughout.

Overall Experience
Our mum was at Berkley Court for several months but had a week recently when she was on end of life care, this end of life care was managed by staff at Berkley Court.
We were able to stay with our mum in this week, taking it in turns. The care she received in the final week of her life will help us deal with our grief knowing that everything that could be done to help her was done. The team leaders were outstanding in getting things in place and communicating with district nurses and ourselves, the care assistants excelled themselves in the care they provided. As a family, we discussed that the term care assistant doesn't adequately describe the high level of skills and care they displayed to our mum.
Everyone was helpful and kind. As well as looking after our mum they looked after us, making sure we had food, drinks and they accommodated our needs so we could stay with her round the clock.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you to all.

We are so glad my relatives are at Berkeley Court! Thank you so much for all your kindness and care. Everyone has always been so helpful whenever we've had any queries and so patient. We don't live near enough to see first-hand very often how things work but all seems fine, thank you again.

I have visited a friend at Berkeley Court Care Home a few times over the past two months and every time the staff have been friendly and very helpful. The staff treat the people living there with care and consideration. Whilst there we are offered a drink and cake. The rooms I've seen and been in have always been very clean and welcoming.
I cannot comment on activities as none have been taking place when I've visited but the staff have put up photo galleries and have decorated the walls with collages of artwork by themselves and the people living there and are proud to tell us about it.

The theme at the moment is Easter. I enjoy visiting my friend in these surroundings, with nice, pleasant people.

Whenever we visited the home, we have been warmly greeted and always offered refreshments. They have been accommodating for example letting us move to a quiet area so we can chat. The resident is settling in and appears relaxed, with a good relationship with carers. The rooms are bright and airy. My opinions are based on a few visits only.

Thank you for taking the time to review Berkeley Court and we are pleased you rate our safety/security as excellent. Thank you for your kind comments regarding our team, which I will pass on to them. We have a daily, weekly and monthly activities programme, which we plan with our resident's input. We also arrange one-to-one activities based on people's interests.

My mum has been very happy at Berkeley Court care home for a long time. She loves all the staff and all the entertainment. Unfortunately, my mum was placed on end-of-life care in the hospital. We managed to move her back to the home as was her wish for the last few days of her life. I could not have asked for more from any of the staff in every department. They looked after her so well in a compassionate and professional manner but also with so much loving care. All of Mum's needs were more than met. The staff also looked after us as a family.

It is a hugely emotional, stressful and difficult decision to place a loved one in a care home. The staff at Berkeley Court are very sensitive to this and in my experience did their utmost to make it as gentle and smooth as possible, from the initial home visit to the weeks following the move.
They are professional, kind, hard-working and every day go the extra mile to make my mum more comfortable. Prior to moving to Berkeley, she could barely walk a few steps and the difference now is remarkable, thanks to the staff’s daily efforts.

It is very hard to entrust a parent to strangers away from their home environment but this was made so much easier thanks to their continual and consistent care and attention. It has been a great weight off our minds to know Mum is safe and well cared for.

My grandad has settled in wonderful at Berkeley Court. The staff and management take really good care of him. He always seems to be in a happy mood now. He is a very sociable man and so gets on with everybody. He seems very happy with the food her gets and really enjoys the entertainment that is provided. All in all, it's lovely to see him happy in this home, and I would highly recommend it.

My grandad became a resident in approx July 2022. Naturally, we were all worried about he would settle, but he was made to feel really welcome from the day he arrived. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff; they make a fuss of him (and they laugh at his jokes!). He enjoys his meals and joins in all the entertainment. The family all feel that Berkeley Court was the best choice.

My brother who has dementia and Alzheimers has been at Berkley for two and a half years. He seems settled and content, very well cared for and loved by the staff. The staff and management communicate well with me/us whenever necessary, the home is clean, pleasant to visit and has everything required for a comfortable life. Being placed into family units of 12 or so is a great idea. Love and care are the first essentials for a contented life and these are very evident at Berkeley which gives me the necessary peace of mind. Thank you to all at Berkeley.

My mother has been well looked after in Berkeley Court for nearly 4 years. Sadly around the beginning of August she was receiving palliative care. If we thought the support was good before, it now reached an exceptionally high level - nothing was too much trouble, visits were allowed anytime, staff frequently spent extra time just sat with her. When family stayed for long periods of time they were offered drinks and meals. It really felt like a family and we're so glad that she was able to spend her last days here instead of having to go elsewhere. I fully recommend this home.
