Clean, well equipped, staff friendly and efficient, helping new residents to settle and feel happy.

My husband is diabetic type 2 but they always give him diabetic foods (desserts) which he dislikes. He is able to eat normal desserts but only ONCE a day. Last time he was in he was having sweet stuff twice a day which was too much and he had a hypo.

Sadly he died a few weeks ago and the team could not have dealt with it better.

They all helped comfort our family through many distressing times.

Even from outside Yewtree looked inviting, not disappointed with light, modern, clean, airy interior, would not have thought was in a Care Home. The manager got Mam a bed at short notice, Nursing staff are exceptional, explained all aspects of meds and changes in care, listened to my concerns and prompted GP to review care as her condition changed. Great continuity of care across shifts. Care assistants brilliant, cheerful, encouraging and thoughtful, including doing all the small things that make a difference. A genuine feeling from every member of staff that they really do care, and in practice it made a difficult 3 months for me much more bearable, knowing Mam was in the best hands I could have wished for. All the staff were so supportive, but professional. In my experience, the care provided by this home has to be about as good as it gets. Thank you all so very much.

I immediately noticed the high standards and excellent facilities of the care centre and its aesthetic qualities. I particularly like the bright and cheerful decor with high quality photographs of the local environment. The staff seem very dedicated to the residents and highly respectful of their needs and individualities. The overall atmosphere is one of peace and freedom.

This was the first time we had used Yew Tree Care home. I was very impressed with everything and would certainly have my husband back here again. The very friendly staff helped as well as everything else, they were so caring and helped to make my husbands stay quite enjoyable.

This is the most amazing care home with a wonderful dedicated team of staff caring for the residents. My Dad, who had dementia and was confined to bed, spent the last 3 months of his life receiving outstanding nursing care here. The staff were so kind to him and treated him like one of the family, the ratio of staff to residents is extremely high so Dad had the due care and personal attention he needed at all times. Dad was treated with dignity and kindness and was always well presented and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to other families or friends. A big thank you to all at Yew Tree Care Home from a very grateful relative!

My mother was quite ill when she went to Yew Tree and sadly died a month later. During that time, the care she received was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My sisters and I were soon confident that the staff were knowledgeable about her condition, how it needed to be treated and did everything they could to make her comfortable, happy and safe. The staff really do care about the residents and their families too. Mum's last few days were very difficult but the staff treated her with dignity and ensured that she was pain free. They kept us informed about the treatment she received and went the extra mile to ensure that the family could stay with mum for as long as we needed to. Mum passed away peacefully with her family around her just as she had wanted and I can't thank the staff enough for their excellent care.

I go to see my mum, she is well looked after by the staff. Her room is nice and large, the food looks good. Activities could be more available for the residents. Singalong will be good for them with dementia.

My stay was very comfortable. Good staff, very friendly and good food.

I could not recommend this facility for looking after patients with Alzheimer's. My mother-in-law was unable to eat solid food for months and, unbelievably, a plate of solid food was left on her bedside table the day before she died when she was unconscious. She had no assistance with eating in the 7 months she was there, her teeth were lost and her personal hygiene needs were very hit and miss. Her teeth were not replaced for over 2 months, by which time she could not tolerate them. Non-qualified nursing staff were nice but totally inexperienced and some of the (few and far between) qualified nurses were defensive and unhelpful. They were also untruthful about my mother-in-law's fluid intake. Records of intake and hygiene routine were useless and inaccurate. My husband made suggestions about her care and this was taken with very bad grace by some of the staff. Some of the staff were very pleasant to talk to and made the right noises but were ineffective. Not a good care home for dementia sufferers.

I think they do alright with my dad. I have no complaints what so ever.

The care given to my father at Yew Tree Care Home is care given with love and dignity. They listen to what we want for my father and I have no cause for concern and know my father is looked after with dignity when we as a family are not with him. The carers always inform us if my father has any medical problems, or if he has had an unsettled night and that as a family we appreciate all that they do.

Had no problems so far. Mam is happy with her care. Thank you.

We are very happy with Yew Tree Care Centre. We did a lot of research before putting my uncle here. All staff are lovely and caring. Any problems are sorted quickly.

My mum is still there, has been for 3 years and in her words, she loves her home and that’s how she’s made to feel.

So big thanks to all staff there for making us feel at home.

My grandad has been in the home as a resident since February. He has made relationships with staff members who he now classes as his family. The girls are extremely lovely, always rushed off their feet and happy to accommodate residents and their family's needs. My grandad is settled and calls Yew Tree his home. After a stroke scare and a few days in hospital, he was so pleased to be back in his home to Yew Tree. When care workers were moved around to different floors, grandad was gutted about one worker in particular but situations changed and she's now back on dementia. He's thrilled and says she's like his daughter. Their relationship is lovely.

I would definitely recommend this home, the staff are all extremely kind and helpful.

They have helped putting mam in a home easier. Myself and my family are very thankful for all the care/support/friendship they give to both mam and us.

Overall excellent.
