I have been very impressed by all of the staff I have met here from the first time I visited when looking for a suitable care home for my 96-year-old mother. The lady in charge of finance was very polite and informative and put my mind at rest on a number of issues. One of the deputy managers showed me around and was very informative. The other deputy manager has been brilliant also from the beginning and has organised a fortnightly visit for Mum to go to her church. All the other members of staff have been kind, caring and friendly.

At first sight the home looks pleasant. The care team leader was very enthusiastic, giving me some information about how fantastic the home was, and what fantastic facilities were on offer to my father who has dementia. Within 2 weeks of being there, my dad who even though had dementia was physically fit now had bruises all over his body, swollen feet, walking around like a zombie with no shoes or socks on his feet! Our family was disgusted by the way he was being treated and had to complain to the CQC.

Did not know what service to expect for my wife, from May onwards, but I and my family were really surprised at the care, and friendliness of the whole staff at the home. They listened to us, as to how my wife needed help and attention. The daily routine was excellent, meals were really good and activities and trips were excellent as well. We would thoroughly recommend the home for having loving care and attention. Well done!

My dad is looked after well. No worries here. He's quiet and keeps to himself. If his television could be put on daily that would be appreciated. Overall a lovely care home, the staff are very friendly and I have no concerns at all about my dad's wellbeing, he is looked after.

The staff are excellent but overworked which naturally causes stress when other staff are off. The home is currently being decorated in the communal areas, but I do not know whether this will include bedrooms. My brother has been there three years next month and still no address has been made with regards the damaged wall.

Summary of time spent in the home up until Sep 7.
I am the son of a resident who has now passed.
The care my mother received was very good. The staff were kind and considered the residents and always did their best. At times they were very rushed after all events can happen that cannot be planned for. That said even then all of them gave it their best.

The consideration of staff was certainly a noticeable factor with many having been there many years.

What can I say about Mulberry Court.
They are the most caring and dedicated staff I have come across and their love for the residents is fabulous.
My mum was a resident until the beginning of this week, the dedication they have shown not only to my mum but to myself as well is second to none and for this, I am overwhelmed by their love and their kindness.
The staff have a very hard job to do, so from the front door, office, management, floor managers, carers and last of all the domestic staff, I applaud you and thank you for making my mum's life comfortable, loved and cared for!

If you are looking for a home from home then look at this remarkable place and make your room a place where your relative/friend will feel like it is their home and a place of peace and love!

I would like to give thanks to the front-line care team who look after our loved ones day in and day out, they work exceptionally hard to take care of multiple needs for hours on end. That said I am concerned at Runwood Homes's decision to reduce staff on shift. 4 staff in the mornings and 3 staff for approx 30 residents on a floor is not enough in my opinion, especially if someone’s on holiday or off sick and staff have to work 14-hour double shifts, this can’t be good for morale or the health and well-being of the team or the residents. I would urge Runwood to review this decision and look at alternatives to increase bank staff and have Health and Social Care students on placement or volunteers for additional support all round, as we should be supporting the care teams as much as we can.

My mother was admitted to the care home at Mulberry Court Watermead Road nearly 4 years ago. She was 99 years of age when she passed away on the 22nd September just 46 days short of her birthday when she would have been 100 years of age. She had severe dementia and was incapable of looking after herself. During her time there she was looked after in not only a professional way but in a caring way whereby the staff could not do enough for my mum. The staff were really fantastic and could not do enough for her and I was always kept up to date by them on how she was or whenever a problem arose. I was so happy the the last 4 years of her long life were spent in happy surroundings where she was much loved by all. What more can I say but from the bottom of my heart thanks to all at a wonderful care home. Kind regards.

Hi, my name is Hayley Griffiths. I started my career at Mulberry Court Care Homes in 2014. I started working for Runwood Homes as a care assistant to help provide person-centred care to people living with dementia and high needs.

I absolutely adore my job and I go home every night feeling satisfied and rewarded that I have helped somebody in need. Runwood Homes provides so many opportunities and amazing training to progress in the health and social care setting.

I trained to become Care Team Leader in 2016, leading a team of carers to ensure my residents were being well looked after and the floor was well led, safe and effective.

I was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2020. Mulberry Court Care Home is the best place to work. I also recommended my family and friends to this care home.
