After moving to Greenways Court Care Home just over two years ago, of course, I wasn't so well at the time and it was daunting for me, moving my home in York, but I have family at home. I must say, I was surprised myself how I was made welcome by all the staff and soon settled down in my new home.

My mam has not been here at Greenways Court very long, 5 weeks and it was a hard decision to make for Mam, but I have felt very supported from all staff, they have rang me and involved me in all of the decisions regarding Mam. My mam is poorly at present but is treated with respect and dignity at all
times and anything I suggest, staff are willing to try to make Mam comfortable.

My mam has just moved in and all the staff have been outstanding. The staff are extremely professional, kind, caring and have helped my mam settle in. My mam also speaks very highly of the care team. Management were so helpful and understanding in helping get my mam here. Greenways Court is absolutely
amazing! It is like walking into a five-star hotel. It is so clean and modern. I can't speak highly enough of the building and all the staff.

I have found the staff at Greenways Court Care Home to be kind and supportive of my mother-in-law and me. They extend their care role beyond their residents to family members and have treated me and my father-in-law with the same kindness and care they show their residents every day.

Very poor care home. I would never let another of my family enter this home. They do not have the time to look after everyone in a respectable way, if they have dementia and they say no to anything then they do nothing. You should keep trying to persuade the person until you get the result that helps
them.

From my first enquiry to my mam moving into Greenways Court Care Home, the management team and staff were extremely helpful and supportive, making it a very stress-free move for my mam, as well as our family. My mam has settled in very well thanks to the kind, caring staff here at Greenways, the manager

Greenways Court Care Home is exceptional. Both the care staff and the management team are professional and deal with any issues with empathy, compassion and timeous. When you walk into the home it is always clean, tidy and homely. The domestic staff are always vigilant to the residents' needs and the
best thing is my father-in-law is always clean, fresh and wearing his own clothes.

Fabulous home who provided care for my late father and now my mother. I cannot praise the staff enough the care is second to none and they are extremely responsive. The home is extremely well managed. My only negative is not an issue with the staff it is the company, the bedrooms are not well maintained
the paintwork marked and tired, the bedding is clearly what previous residents have left behind. Greenways has never looked this tired. The company has a duty to provide a better environment.

My mother, although totally immobile (arthritis), has all of her needs and general care sensitively and efficiently dealt with. She can be difficult but all carers show real sympathy and good humour. I'm glad my mum will spend the rest of her days in such an atmosphere.

Mum has been living at Greenways for three and a half years and has received excellent care throughout her time there. The staff, without exception, are caring, respectful, gentle and supportive to families as well as residents. During Covid restrictions, they did a great job under difficult and often
distressing circumstances and did everything they could to keep contact between residents and families. We definitely made the right decision when Mum joined the Greenways family.

Both of my parents are residents at Greenways Court Care Home. The care and kindness shown to them both from all staff are fantastic. Even during recent times when we have been unable to visit due to restrictions, staff have gone the extra mile to ensure my parents are safe, happy and well cared for.
Staff keep in touch with us and nothing is ever a bother. A fabulous place to live with great food and a variety of activities for residents.

Since moving to Greenways Court, my mother has thrived and loves joining in all the activities on offer. She loves the food which is fresh, home-cooked and plentiful. The staff are approachable, caring and friendly, being supported by an excellent management team. I am always kept fully informed and
both my mother and I are treated with respect and as individuals. Procedures are in place to ensure residents, visitors and staff are kept as safe as possible during the Covid pandemic. The outside space for residents to use is not large in comparison to some other care homes, but I think this is a small compromise to make knowing that my mother is safe, well cared for and happy in Greenways Court.

From pre-admission assessment and admission to the present day, the staff and management at Greenways Court have been outstanding in the provision of care that they are providing to my dad. The open communication and empathy for family members are also noteworthy.
As a registered social worker who
has worked in this field for approximately 20 years all over the northeast of England, I can say it is, without doubt, the best home that I have come into contact with. Low staff turnover and carers that go above and beyond their role to ensure individuals are provided with the utmost dignity and care and family links maintained.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kind care, for me, is person-centred care. It is all about the individual and their needs.”


Kinga has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people during her 8 years in care work. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having started as Home Manager at Greenways Court in October 2020, Kinga was the perfect candidate as she closely shares HC-One’s vision aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident and has been a deputy Manager at HC-One for 3 years.


Kinga also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Greenways Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Kinga remarked:


“Spending time with Residents and listening to their life stories. Talking about photographs and memories Residents have in their rooms.”


“I enjoy supporting and developing my staff in any areas they wish to expand their knowledge, seeing the positive outcome of it makes me really happy.”


Outside of work, Kinga enjoys many activities and hobbies, especially spending time with her family and travelling.
