Greenways Court Care Home

Mum has been living at Greenways for three and a half years and has received excellent care throughout her time there. The staff, without exception, are caring, respectful, gentle and supportive to families as well as residents. During Covid restrictions, they did a great job under difficult and often distressing circumstances and did everything they could to keep contact between residents and families. We definitely made the right decision when Mum joined the Greenways family.

Both of my parents are residents at Greenways Court Care Home. The care and kindness shown to them both from all staff are fantastic. Even during recent times when we have been unable to visit due to restrictions, staff have gone the extra mile to ensure my parents are safe, happy and well cared for. Staff keep in touch with us and nothing is ever a bother. A fabulous place to live with great food and a variety of activities for residents.

Since moving to Greenways Court, my mother has thrived and loves joining in all the activities on offer. She loves the food which is fresh, home-cooked and plentiful. The staff are approachable, caring and friendly, being supported by an excellent management team. I am always kept fully informed and both my mother and I are treated with respect and as individuals. Procedures are in place to ensure residents, visitors and staff are kept as safe as possible during the Covid pandemic. The outside space for residents to use is not large in comparison to some other care homes, but I think this is a small compromise to make knowing that my mother is safe, well cared for and happy in Greenways Court.

It's always emotional for me to visit my uncle as his sister; my mum died of the same illness he has. However, I know that he gets the best care possible and today he seemed content and comfortable and spoke well of the staff who care for him. They do a fabulous job in the current circumstances.

Mum entered the home during Covid, as an emergency. We'd already had the benefit of a video tour so we sort of knew what we were getting, but the home were so. So helpful in facilitating her entry into the home, and at then making her feel comfortable in what was an extremely stressful time for her, and for us. The home never forgot my feelings as son, as well as my mum's, and did their best to ease the huge transition from living independently to living in residential care for Mum. Since then she's settled well, or as well as Parkinson's allows. The physical environment of the home is exemplary. I've always been told you can tell a good home from how it smells - this smells, and looks, like a four-star hotel, but most of all the staff are exemplary. They all really care, and care for mum as a human being. In that respect we could never have assessed that from a video tour, and count ourselves really lucky we found Greenways Court.

I’m happy knowing my mum is happy and if she needs anything they don’t hesitate to contact us to let us know. Communication is excellent.

Everybody has been fantastic, very accommodating helpful and pleasant. It’s been an adjustment leaving home but I’m very happy and comfortable here. The food is spot on, the puddings are excellent.

We cannot thank Greenways enough for how welcoming they have been to my father when he came to stay. They made the transition so easy at a very worrying and stressful time. It is home from home; we are encouraged to bring items from home, which makes a huge difference. The room is very comfortable, clean and the lounge is fabulous. The staff are lovely, very attentive, caring and plenty of time to talk. The food is good, very traditional and the puddings always go down well. My father gives his breakfast bacon butty 10 out of 10! We realise it's difficult keeping everyone safe during this pandemic, but Greenways have a reassuring system in place so that everyone is tested and with many opportunities for visiting throughout the week. It is such a relief for us to have the confidence that he is being so well looked after. Greenways certainly live up to our expectations.

The staff are incredibly good and they really do care. Very happy here. The food is very good, the chef is a wizard. The staff are helpful and they know our drink preferences without needing to ask. The activities are very good, I don’t think anything better can be than what’s provided. The trip to the museum was fantastic. I am very happy here and glad to have made the choice.

Found the staff and residents very friendly and helpful. The staff have gone out of their way to make me feel at home. The food selection is good with a choice and well cooked. I thoroughly enjoyed the activities, I have participated in the weekly quiz and enjoyed a game of bingo to get to know the residents. The patio is a nice touch to have.

Greenways is a fabulous place where the staff go the extra mile. The food is good and there's a range of activities to join in with other residents. It really is a home from home!

Lovely experience, always very helpful and happy to be there to help. Food is excellent with a good selection and ample. Enjoyed the in-house quiz and activities. Pleased that when I had visitors I was given privacy to chat and be with them with no interruptions.

Staff have been brilliant since day one in very difficult circumstances and I have every confidence in Greenways. The grounds are well maintained and kept clean and tidy. Staff call me if and when any issues or concerns they or I may have.

There is nothing but exemplary care, love, kindness and professionalism shown to the residents and families. This care home is outstanding in every single aspect and we as a family could not be more grateful.

My Mother has been a resident at Greenways for about two years now. Mum always seems so happy, well dressed and cared for when I visit. Visits are well organised and I feel able to call anytime for updates regarding Mum's welfare. The newsletters by email and pdf copies of any post received for Mum really help me keep up to date with what’s going on. Excellent Care Home and highly recommended.
