My husband, having been hospitalised after a fall at a previous care home / in hospital for 3 months, has settled in extremly well at Amherst Court. Myself and family are very impressed with the quality of care provided and the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, very good!

My mum who has dementia has been a resident for 15 months now. We are very happy with the care she receives. Staff are always smiling and friendly despite having to deal with some challenging behaviour. The standards of cleanliness are high. We would thoroughly recommend this care home.

My dear friend is so happy here. The home is clean and has many facilities. The staff are all amazing. I visit many care homes in my job and this is the best I've seen and visited.

Kind, considerate, caring, compassionate, thoughtful, always willing to support. Staff are great with Dad, everyone is very welcoming and helpful. The place has a really lovely atmosphere and feel to it. Good activities, kept well informed.
The only slight improvement is I wish the staff would encourage
Dad to drink a bit more and to encourage participation more although he does love his sleep. The place is always clean and well-presented, I feel Dad is safe and well-looked after. I would highly recommend.

We went to our friend's lovely celebration for 50 years in parish council, there was a lovely cake table with a fantastic spread or range of cakes, the lovely homemade cakes and immaculate service by the staff made the event go well and everyone feel included.

The staff were superb and the building, entrance area and grounds impressive. I do think that some improvement could be made in the area of noise reduction. The flooring (and walls) act as an echo chamber and would benefit from some acoustic absorbent treatment. Sounds like health worker's conversations
and trolley movements reverberate significantly disturbing those who need peace and quiet

My dad has been in Amherst one year now, he is 96 in a few weeks time. He has dementia. Dad really likes it here and has been very well treated by very caring staff. I have no complaints, neither has he. The coffee cafe helps a great deal. The staff member who runs this always makes my dad feel special.
All the staff seem happy which makes a huge difference. I'm happy in my mind that he is well looked after and I know staff will ring me if there is a problem... perfect!

This review refers to my late mother's residency for 9 months from the time she was discharged from NHS care until her passing. The overall experience of her care was fantastic and we felt so supported as a family. The care staff did exactly what Mum asked for and the office staff were always welcoming
and did everything we asked of them. All our family highly recommend Amherst Court for anyone seeking residential, respite or dementia care for a loved one; you and they will not be disappointed.

My aunt lived at Amherst Court for nearly ten months and we only recently moved her to a care home in Essex so she could be nearer to the rest of her family.
The Amherst Court staff were all lovely but I feel they could benefit from a larger support team.
The activities were good but my aunt needed
more daily stimulation.
The cafe is run by the kindest lady you could ever want to meet and we will be forever grateful for the kindness she showed my aunt.

My friend has spent the past two and a half years as a resident at Amherst Court Care Home. It is a bright, ultra-modern complex and has a very cheerful atmosphere. The staff are very caring towards the residents and visitors are always made to feel welcome. Her stay here was always a happy one. I would
not hesitate to recommend Amherst Court to anyone considering residential accommodation to a family member or friend etc. The care in this lovely environment is first-class.

Amazing care home for my mum-in-law. She resided here for 19 months from March 2022 before passing away peacefully but in superb hands. The staff are extremely professional and friendly with all the residents and visitors to the home. Mum-in-law was always telling us, that she felt safe and well cared
for here and those comments to her family was the best comments you could ever receive after transferring her care to someone else. Mum participated in activities for the residents and engaged in the entertainment as well. That kept her feeling young and engaged. We spent many hours in the cafe a great meeting area for all visitors and residents. My wife and I totally recommend this superb home for your loved ones when it is needed. They will certainly be in safe hands.

Absolutely amazing care home for my dad. The staff are attentive, friendly and cheerful with both residents and visitors to the home. They have activities for residents and entertainment. You can also spend time with loved ones in their suites or join them for lunch in the cafe. I totally recommend
this superb home for your loved ones when it is needed. They will certainly be in safe hands.

I visit my friend every week and have always found all the staff and carers to be totally professional, helpful and friendly. Every other week I have lunch in the cafe. The food is delicious and everything is always absolutely spotlessly clean. My friend is always well turned out and well cared for.
Every time I phone to book a visit, the reception staff are always extremely helpful.
