What an excellent place! From first contact, to my father moving in, right through to the final visit after he'd passed away, I was impressed with all aspects. Housekeeping staff kept the place spotless. Laundry was turned round fast.
Staff in all departments were very friendly, professional & caring. Staffing levels are high. I visited a lot; various times of day & night, & was always confident that Dad was properly cared for even if I wasn't there. I had the feeling that staff genuinely cared from their hearts; not simply as a job.
Dad was aware that his prognosis was short when he moved there. He was as happy as he could be during his brief stay.
There are several gardens, & a balcony in Ash Unit (where Dad was). We sat outside listening to the birds in the trees on many occasions.

During Dad's stay, at his passing & after his death everyone was very respectful, taking good care of him, & giving family unlimited time to be with him.

My father has only just arrived at Oakview Care Home but I was impressed by the facilities, cleanliness & welcoming atmosphere of both management and staff. My father is still experiencing the settling in phase of his admission and the staff are being super supportive during this period. From day one my father has been encouraged to joi in the daily activities and introduced to his peers. Overall it's been a very positive experience so far.

On visiting my gran I was amazed. Oak View is the loveliest care home I have ever visited. It's warm welcoming and spotlessly clean. Nothing like a care home. It's would give hotels a run for their money. ...... where do I put my name down for a room

We visited a family friend today and was encouraged to join in the St. Patrick's Day celebrations. We saw that all the residents who attended, were thoroughly enjoying themselves and encouraged to join in.
The staff were very welcoming, engaging and full of fun.
Thank you for involving our resident friend in the festivities and for making their time with you lively, fun and exciting.

Special mention to the activities co-ordinator and all the staff on duty that day.

OakView Care Home is exceptional. From my first visit to check out if this care home was the most suitable one for my mother, it felt homely friendly and very welcoming from the moment I walked in.
My mom was admitted on Ash the nursing unit where she is giving exceptional care by all the staff to the point where nothing is too much trouble for them.

This care home is always keeping very clean and has a lovely feel about it. I would highly recommend it.

My mother has been at Oakview for a number of years and I have been delighted with the care provided during the whole time. This was highlighted recently when she became unwell, it was so moving to see carers and domestics from across different units that know her, come to wish her well and support us. My mother spent most time on Beech, where she enjoyed singing and dancing activities. When she reached her 80th Birthday, everyone made it so special when our family visited to celebrate with her. Following expected deterioration due to her condition, my mother was moved to Ash, as a nursing unit met her needs more. As well as the outstanding care she has received, the team are caring and considerate to us, ready with a hug if upset. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakview looking for a caring environment for their loved ones.
