Oakview Care Home provides care to older people who need full time nursing or residential care, including dementia.

There are four spacious specialist units each with its own lounge, dining facilities.

The core values of the home - Compassion, Respect and Responsibility, resonate strongly throughout the home.

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and their needs, wishes and culture requirements are put first. A person-centred care plan is built around each resident.

Kitchen staff prepare breakfasts, lunch with homemade soups and selection of sandwiches or warm lunches, and evening meals are outsourced and prepared and delivered by Apetito and full of nutrients. Residents have a choice to choose off menu daily.

Oakview care have now completed renovations, going from a 72 bed to a 97 bed home. Lovely gardens have been added, as well as a balcony on the nursing Dementia unit where Residents and families can sit out and enjoy the lovely outdoors.
There is also also a lovely quiet room on the residential dementia unit, where residents and families can sit and enjoy quietness, whilst watching a lovely sensory aquarium.
There is a new hairdressers room built for residents to enjoy every Monday, to sit and relax whilst having their hair done.

Oakview Care Home has provided outstanding care for an old family friend for nearly 3 years. The staff show compassion, care and interest in the residents with a real homely atmosphere. From reception through to all those looking after the residents we've found the home welcoming and caring. It has

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and compassion shown by the staff to my husband. The level of personal attention and concern they showed was truly exceptional. The home itself is warm clean, and welcoming, with a real sense of community. Your professionalism will never be forgotten.

A lovely care home where residents are treated with dignity. Rooms are very clean with great facilities. Staff are very approachable and offer support and help to family members in what cab be a difficult first time experience.

Mum has been at Oakview care home for 6 months now after 6 months in hospital and rehab. She settled in really well. All the staff are very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble - even for the family. Its the hardest decision we had to make but also the best. Thank you to all the staff including management.

Oakview is friendly, professional and well run care home. The staff are all approachable and very helpful and will send time with dad. The activities and activity staff goes all out to get everyone involved and there are plenty of activities available. Food is varied and they will offer what a person
wants if they ask. Overall cannot complain about staff or care home. 10 out of 10 all round.

I feel that my mother-in-law is having excellent care and efforts are always being made to include her in activities. Her room is very pleasant and it is wonderful to have the "quiet" room on the floor below it to take her to for a chat and cup tea.
There are regular activities for her to do, and she
has enjoyed the sing songs.
She has started to settle more and it is lovely to hear her say that she likes it here. The staff are also very friendly.

My auntie only came in last night (6/5). I came this afternoon, she looks much better already and we had a great time with karaoke, sing songs. The staff are lovely, helpful.

The care he is receiving has been first rate from day 1.
The care team are fantastic and treat my dad with the utmost respect. I would recommend Oakview 100% for future residents.

All the staff have been excellent, extremely helpful and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Always keeping you informed of what's going on, from care to activities that are planned. My dad was on Beech unit to start and then move to Ash. And the care was second to none. I would happily recommend
this care home to all my friends and family.

The care Dad received during his stay at Oakview, he was entertained and cared for so well on Beech Unit before being transferred to Ash Unit for end-of-life care.
The staff are so caring compassionate, not only to my relative but to all of is as a family. We can't thank you all enough.

Grandad cared for on beech unit. Dementia care was amazing and granddad was always happy and clean and cared for. Moved to ash unit for EOL care and cannot praise them enough. Cared for just as well as we could of at home and we as a family were looked after and felt at home.

My dad has been a resident here since January. The care and support provided by the staff has been excellent. They have looked after dad through some difficult times and kept family updated regularly. I cannot thank staff enough for all the love and care they provided.

Friday 11th was a difficult day for us as a family, "celebrating" Nan's birthday, knowing it would be our last birthday with us.
When we went out onto the balcony, we had the pleasure of witnessing the residents having a dance and a sing-along on the grass area organised by the activity coordinator.
They are a credit to Oakview, keep it up! The residents really enjoyed themselves. It was lovely to see!

As I walked into Oakview Care Home, I was made to feel welcome by the staff, the activities coordinator had that much energy and enthusiasm with the residents taking part in their activities. The cleanliness of the care home is outstanding, my friend looked very well and looked after, it was like home
from home. The manager certainly knows how to run a care home very well.
