Oakview Care Home provides care to older people who need full time nursing or residential care, including dementia.

There are four spacious specialist units each with its own lounge, dining facilities.

The core values of the home - Compassion, Respect and Responsibility, resonate strongly throughout the home.

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and their needs, wishes and culture requirements are put first. A person-centred care plan is built around each resident.

Kitchen staff prepare breakfasts, lunch with homemade soups and selection of sandwiches or warm lunches, and evening meals are outsourced and prepared and delivered by Apetito and full of nutrients. Residents have a choice to choose off menu daily.

Oakview care have now completed renovations, going from a 72 bed to a 97 bed home. Lovely gardens have been added, as well as a balcony on the nursing Dementia unit where Residents and families can sit out and enjoy the lovely outdoors.
There is also also a lovely quiet room on the residential dementia unit, where residents and families can sit and enjoy quietness, whilst watching a lovely sensory aquarium.
There is a new hairdressers room built for residents to enjoy every Monday, to sit and relax whilst having their hair done.

Everyone is so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Always cheerful. They all provide excellent care. The home is so clean, has a lovely atmosphere when you walk in, so friendly. It's just like one big happy family.

Myself and my brother were sent to many homes and were pleased when Oakview Care Home said they would take my mother. I promised my mother we find her somewhere she would like to go, which was clean and comfortable and bright and have things to do. My mother was on dialysis so there were not many homes
that could take her. The Nurses I could not thank them enough, they were outstanding. And looked after my mother very well. The staff are very caring and worked hard. The place itself is kept clean and modern. My mother's room was spacious with its own shower and toilet. The staff work hard trying to put on entertainment, games and keep fit which my mother loved when she was up for it. And having her hair done in the hairdressers they have.

Mum was a resident receiving nursing care from July 2018 - March 2020. We were extremely pleased with the care she received. With a very large family, so she had visits most days, and the staff throughout the home were friendly and welcoming to all. It was the first choice of nursing care for Mum, on
recommendations and location for the family and we feel we could not have chosen better - only wish we had made the move from residential care sooner - we were very unhappy with the previous home.

The atmosphere throughout the home is very good, friendly staff who are well trained, understanding and give extra support to people with dementia. The activities are regular and suited to all the residents needs. It is very homely and residents are happy in the living room areas and the dining room
is very pleasant for them to enjoy eating together, staff are always visible. I never worried about my mums care.

From my first visit, I knew I wanted my Mum to come to Oakview. My first instincts were right. The home has a wonderful staff who make it feel like the resident's home. It is very clean and the food is varied. Nothing is too much trouble if you have a problem either by management or staff.

If my parents were still alive and needed residential care I would only want them to be cared for at Oakview. My friend was always treated with respect, dignity, and as an equal. The staff were always kind, caring, and patient and looked at the heart of all service users and their talents. It has always

I have found the home excellent and the staff are very good. I have been in some bad ones so I can tell the difference. I want to sell my house and stay with my 'family'. I am very fond of the entertainments lady, she is very helpful.

All of the staff cared for both my mother and father beautifully in the past weeks of their lives. They also took the time to ask the family how they were coping. I have been in touch with the home a number of times since their passing and have always been treated warmly and felt that although my parents
were gone they were still there to support me. They are all caring, warm people who treated my parent with respect and dignity. Thank you all.

I was pleased to get a place at Oakview for my husband as I had received good reviews for it and found all to be true.
The place is so clean and effectively run and all the staff, carers and office, cleaning, laundry, kitchen are so helpful, polite and caring that it really helps me to come to terms
with my husband's problems.
I am very happy for him to be at Oakview.

My mother in law is extremely well looked after for 6 1/2 years. She is clean, pain-free and peaceful, despite having advanced dementia. Issues arise due to the high standards we like as a family but they are addressed immediately and always resolved. The staff treat my mother in law as if she was a
relative of theirs so she is shown kindness and compassion.

Wonderful home from home. Staff are professional and experienced but above all kind and compassionate. My mother is looked after extremely well and is peaceful, albeit she has advanced Alzheimer's. My husband moved into Oakview Care home in November 2018. The staff there are very friendly, caring and nothing is too much trouble. He is on Ash Unit. The meals are really good. The domestics work very hard to keep the home clean. I can't praise everyone who works there highly enough. They really look
after my husband, with respect, dignity and very caring.

My uncle has spent the last ten months at Oakview receiving excellent nursing care from some lovely staff. He has been happy and comfortable during his time here, kept clean and shaven, well fed and treated with dignity. The staff have also been very welcoming and caring towards his wife who visits
daily. Christmas was made memorable with a special three course meal and a gift, and thoughtfully birthdays are also acknowledged. On each occasion I have been met with helpful kind staff, from reception through to nursing, and all in an exceptionally clean and calm environment.
