Mom is settled, she feels safe and likes that she can access different levels for entertainment.
It would be nice if Mom could access more activities in the home. Mom loves crafts and watching others and still has a voice!
It would be nice if the staff were able to spend more one-to-one time chatting and playing games with Mom.
Overall very happy.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We really appreciate your feedback. We were recommended Oakview Care Home by a friend, whose mother had been in their care. We were not disappointed, it was all they said it was. My step-father was very happy there, and on many visits, I could see how very helpful the staff were.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are so pleased to know your stepdad was very happy at Oakview. He was well-loved by all staff and a joy to look after. Thank you for chatting with me over the phone and expressing your highly commendable views on the quality of care and...
Well managed, spotlessly clean, staff kind and friendly, very safe environment. Looking after elderly people can be very demanding but the staff know how to handle difficult situations and calm and reassure the resident. My relative is treated with respect as am I if I have any concerns or queries.
We're delighted to hear your positive feedback. It is so uplifting to know that our commitment to delivering compassionate care is achieving its positive outcome. The whole team on the unit is so grateful for your appreciation. Thank you so very much. If you have any further feedback or suggestions, we're always here to listen and improve.
My Mum has been resident at Oakview for ten months now and the whole family is very happy with her care. The staff are warm and kind, the communication is always good, and I have complete trust in everyone involved in Mum's care. Before she came to Oakview she was in a different care home for eighteen months, and the experience wasn't so good, so when she moved we were anxious in case it didn't work out, but we have been so happy. I visit Mum up to five times a week and always feel welcome and part of a family, which is lovely and reassuring. I wish I'd brought her here from the start.
Thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to write a review! It means a lot to us that you and the whole family feel satisfied with the care provided at our care home. Knowing that we have made a positive difference in your experience is truly rewarding. I have passed your...

We couldn't have chosen a better place for my beautiful mom to be cared for thank you.
I will pass on this message to the team here, as it shows everyone they are appreciated for all their hard work, and care that they do.
My mother spent two weeks at Oakview in clean and modern surroundings. The staff were attentive and gave Mom a good standard of care. Most importantly, she seemed happy there and settled, not wanting to leave when I came to collect her. I would not hesitate to place Mom there again.
We would certainly welcome your mom back again should you need respite care again.
My wife and I visited my Brother today, it was great to see him happy and settled It is such a lovely home and we are blessed to know that my brother is in such great hands. This is all down to the brilliant team at Oakview Care Home, whom work tirelessly to both ensure the efficient running of the home and more importantly to ensure the residents receive the best of care possible. It certainly is a place of happiness, comfort, safety, and excellence in care. The improvement in his health and happiness has been transformative. As a family, we feel blessed that my brother is a permanent resident at Oakview. What team have achieved with him is nothing short of a miracle. As a team, you are bringing out the best in him, by understanding his needs and making him feel safe and happy. It was a pleasure today to come over and sit in 'his garden' which is very therapeutic for him - his plants are coming on really well, and he is so so proud of the gardens.
yes your brother loves the garden and looks after it so well, it is therapeutic to him and it enables everyone to go outside and he will talk about what he has done in the garden to everyone who listens.
Lovely staff, kind and caring. Our mum is very well cared for. staff and management doing a great job. We would definitely recommend Oakview Care Home. Thank you to all the staff.
Thank you for your kind review, and I will pass this onto staff also, as it is good to get the praise of the staff as it shows them what a wonderful job they are doing, and it our pleasure to be looking after your mom.
My mother is treated with immense respect and dignity at all times. All staff I find very helpful and friendly and all medical issues for Mom, who is diabetic, are addressed in a reasonable time frame. The nurses will do their checks and if they have the slightest concern will bring the doctors in to see her.
It is lovely to receive these reviews as it shows all staff that they are doing a fantastic job that they do and are appreciated for.
I will pass this on to all staff on the unit.
I have nothing but the highest praise for all the staff and the care and concern they gave.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure to look after your wife here at Oakview Care Home, she will be sadly missed, by us all, we as a home really appreciate reviews like this, as it shows our staff that they are appreciated for all the hard work that they do, and it is appreciated by families.
My aunt is on the residential floor, and the care and compassion the staff give to her and ourselves are absolutely amazing - couldn’t wish for anymore. They assist her with anything she wants to do, and they have an on-site hairdresser, which is great as she loves to have her hair done and look nice.
I will pass this review on to the staff because it shows them that they are doing a great job.
My mother was in Oakview Care Home from October 2021 to April 2023. She was on the nursing unit. I can only say that the whole family wish to express our gratitude for the care and attention that our mother received from all members of staff. We would highly recommend Oakview to anyone.
I will pass this review on to the staff, as it shows them what a great job they are doing also.
Once again, thank you, and thank you for recommending us to others.
Although my dad was only with Oakview for a short while, the care, kindness and support given were above and beyond. It was such a relief to know he was being cared for 24/7 and that my mum felt happy visiting Dad when she, herself, was quite poorly. 10/10.
I will pass this lovely review on to the staff, as they appreciate reviews from families, it shows that they are being appreciated for the work they do.
My mother-in-law was a resident at Oakview but sadly passed now, and we have another family member, who is currently staying here. The care that they both received is marvellous - never had to worry for either. I have currently been liaising with the team leader in finding a place for my neighbour, and the process was so efficient and quick that I am over the moon. This is an amazing care home, one which you can trust and your loved ones will settle quickly.
Thank you for your kind review regarding your experience of your loved ones staying at Oakview care home, and we thank you for referring us to your neighbour, and he is happy to be joining us here at Oakview care home. I am glad the process was efficient, and we were able to accommodate him.
Sadly, my father was only at Oakview for a short time, but the care he received was first-class, and the support we had, as a family, in making the move was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursing home.
Thank you, Louise, for your lovely review of our care home, it was a pleasure to look after your father whilst he was with us, and as a care home, it means a lot to hand over to our staff what an excellent job that they are doing, and that they are feeling appreciated.
Lovely, clean, friendly accommodation and staff. Nothing seems too much trouble for anyone of the staff, which has made it much easier for my godmother to get accustomed to living in the home. Having worked in a care home, I can feel that this home is of very good quality, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
Thank you, Rick, for your kind review; it shows that everyone at Oakview is doing a fantastic job and that families and residents are happy with everything that we do, and thank you for recommending our home to others.
My sister was a resident here since May 2022. The care she has had was wonderful, the management and carers were so good to her. She passed away today (14th February) and everyone looked after her and cared for her with love and kindness. Also, they treated me and my daughters with love and sympathy in the last few days, with tea and biscuits etc. I will always be grateful and I would recommend Oakview to anyone.
So thank you once again.
Staff are polite and respectful to residents. They are proactive in the health, care and safety of residents. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the resident's clothing is well-laundered on a daily basis. The overall impression is of a well-maintained care home with kind and caring staff at all levels who have the residents at the heart of their duties. I have no hesitation ins recommending the home.
Thank you for your kind review of Oakview Care Home; I will pass this on to the staff to show them your appreciation for all the hard work they do, and thank you for recommending our care home.
This was one of the care facilities given to us by Social Services, after an initial visit we came away comforted by the initial meeting of the staff and cleanliness. Having never used a home before for my mum, I walked away feeling that she would be cared for and she was! Mum was there for two weeks and I would feel comfortable and happy for her to stay again if required. Thank you.
It was our pleasure to have your mum stay for respite care, and we are so glad that you were happy with our care home, the care received for your mum, and the cleanliness of the home.
And once again if ever you need respite care again we will be happy to help.
I can't thank Oakview enough for supporting us as a family in our hardest times.
Thank you for your lovely review of Oakview care home, it was our pleasure to have your mom come and live at Oakview. We are glad that we were able to answer your questions, and concerns prior to coming into our home, and that you chose us to care for your mom, as we know that it is a worry to some...
