It is the culture of kindness, respect and consideration that sets Tunbridge Wells Care Centre apart, and staff aim to make residents feel completely comfortable and at home, whatever level of care is needed.
The home offers accommodation for 70 residents in bright, spacious and well-furnished rooms with ensuite facilities spread over three floors. There is lift access throughout, and all areas, including the garden, are wheelchair accessible.
Nursing and care staff are on hand 24/7 on each floor, and they are supported by the domestic team via daily cleaning, laundry and housekeeping services, as well as the administration, facilities, activities and catering teams.
The spacious lounges on each floor are comfortably furnished and equipped with TVs, games and books. These communal areas provide relaxed and intimate spaces where residents can socialise with guests or other residents, and bigger areas where activities take place. The dedicated hair salon provides on-site hairdressing services and is popular with residents.
The large, landscaped garden is a pleasant and comfortable space for activities, socialising or watching the home’s resident ducks at play on a pleasant day!
On fine days, it's the perfect place for a cup of tea and some freshly baked pastries.

We appreciate your comments regarding staffing after lunch and understand how important timely assistance is, particularly with personal care needs. We continually review our staffing levels and deployment throughout the day to ensure residents receive the support they need.
We also acknowledge your concerns about the air conditioning during the recent heatwaves. The exceptionally high temperatures have presented challenges, and we recognise the importance of maintaining a comfortable environment for both residents and staff. We are actively reviewing our cooling systems and exploring improvements to help better manage extreme weather conditions.

My Dad has only been at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre for a few weeks after a bad experience elsewhere. Everyone is very friendly and kind, and all the staff made us both feel very welcome from the outset. In the few weeks he has been here he has received excellent care, his appetite has returned and his health and general wellbeing have improved. From the moment we looked around until my mother left after 6 weeks respite we were always greeted by friendly , kind , dedicated staff. I was so relieved to find they had a room available at very short notice and Mum was made to feel so welcome. She enjoyed the food , especially the big breakfasts and joined in with all the daily activities. The nursing team on Knightsbridge floor were outstanding and we have nothing but praise for them all. Mum recovered so well in their care that she has now returned home but if the time came she would be happy to return.

The activity team spend a lot of time with the residents doing activities they all enjoy and they wouldn't be able to do any of it on an empty stomach. the catering team produce some real delights.

There is not a single negative comment I can say about Tunbridge Wells Care Centre. Everything about the place is first class. The staff, the rooms, the food, the atmosphere. All out of this world. My mother was a residents for 3 months until her recent passing and the care and dignity provided by the nurses and carers was incredible. They made visiting mum a real comfort, seeing how they treated her. If there was a level above 'excellent', I would have selected that for everything. Plain and simply, TWCC is fantastic.

The vast majority of the residents were up and in the communal areas when we last visited and they all appeared content and looked after.

At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we want everyone to feel part of our family, not just the residents but their loved ones too. Our admin team are very welcoming as soon as you walk into the building and all departments get to know everyone who visits by name.
