A lack of staff is evidenced post lunch when requests for toileting are made.
For the comfort of residents & staff, a serious overhaul of air conditioning in the building needs addressing. Conditions during the recent heatwaves have been unbearable for all.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you found many of our residents to be happy and settled.
We appreciate your comments regarding staffing after lunch and understand how important timely assistance is, particularly with personal care needs. We...
My Dad has only been at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre for a few weeks after a bad experience elsewhere. Everyone is very friendly and kind, and all the staff made us both feel very welcome from the outset. In the few weeks he has been here he has received excellent care, his appetite has returned and his health and general wellbeing have improved. He loves the garden, and he is beginning to settle and actively engage with life here. Thank you
Thank you for such a lovely review, our chef does make delicious meals and our garden is a wonderful space to relax. The care staff ensure they get to know each resident individually and plan care in a person centred way.
The daily activities are always fun and inclusive.
She enjoys her food, with different daily menu choices.
She also enjoys her daily afternoon tea and cake. Also excellent cakes are baked by the chef for all residents birthdays!
There is also a well kept garden where residents can spend time together and with their relatives.
Thank you for a lovely review, he does make good cakes doesn't he!. All the staff work in a person-centred way, welcoming new residents into our family.
From the moment we looked around until my mother left after 6 weeks respite we were always greeted by friendly , kind , dedicated staff. I was so relieved to find they had a room available at very short notice and Mum was made to feel so welcome. She enjoyed the food , especially the big breakfasts and joined in with all the daily activities. The nursing team on Knightsbridge floor were outstanding and we have nothing but praise for them all. Mum recovered so well in their care that she has now returned home but if the time came she would be happy to return.
Thank you for such a lovely review, the staff here at Tunbridge Wells care Centre pride themselves on providing person centred care, this is in all departments. The activity team spend a lot of time with the residents doing activities they all enjoy and they wouldn't be able to do any of it on an empty stomach. the catering team produce some real delights.
Everyone here is so friendly, helpful and kind. My mum has settled in so well we really are all so happy. Mum is treated so well with always her best interests at heart. Nursing and caring team really are amazing.
Thank you for a wonderful review, the whole team at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre pride themselves on making everyone feel welcome as soon as they walk into our home.
There is not a single negative comment I can say about Tunbridge Wells Care Centre. Everything about the place is first class. The staff, the rooms, the food, the atmosphere. All out of this world. My mother was a residents for 3 months until her recent passing and the care and dignity provided by the nurses and carers was incredible. They made visiting mum a real comfort, seeing how they treated her. If there was a level above 'excellent', I would have selected that for everything. Plain and simply, TWCC is fantastic.
Thank you for such a special review, our thoughts are with you following your recent bereavement.
It is wonderful to be able to take the dog in, it was so clean too.
Mavis was well looked after and it was good to see them tailoring food to her needs. They were expedient when she needed help getting to the toilet and you could see that they cared about her dignity.
The vast majority of the residents were up and in the communal areas when we last visited and they all appeared content and looked after.
Many thanks for this review, the staff and residents love it when family pets come into the home, especially when they areas lovely as your dog.
My brother was here for 2 months respite and we have returned since for lunch and will be coming Christmas day for lunch as well.
thank you for this review, we look forward to seeing you both again in February.
Pleasant experience visiting my friend. She has been here for several months and always seems content and cared for. Both her room and communal areas are pleasant, with friendly staff.
Thank you for this lovely review, our housekeeping team pride themselves on keeping the whole home ship shape.
I have been visiting for more than not sure two or three years. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly whilst my brother in law is in bed all the time now - he is extremely well looked after. No longer able to participate in activities by the activity team still do a remarkable job as soon as I walk through the front door I feel part of a family this is my view my brother in law in unable to give a review.
At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we want everyone to feel part of our family, not just the residents but their loved ones too. Our admin team are very welcoming as soon as you walk into the building and all departments get to know everyone who visits by name.
Overall we are happy with my dads care and know he's in safe hands especially when Alex is in charge.
Thank you for such a lovely review, Alex is a very experienced nurse and her clinical skills are excellent, she knows each and every resident very well.
My wife is the user of your services. I find her comfortable, relaxed and clean and tidy. The staff are efficient, helpful and very professional in their work. The premises are warming and clean and tidy and the atmosphere nice and relaxing. I would recommend your centre to any new potential user of the service.
Thank you for this lovely review, I will ensure the staff are complimented on their efficiency.
My wife was admitted to the care centre for end of life care, from hospital. Sadly she was only here for 5 days, but in that short time the care compassion and will to make her as comfortable as possible was excellent nothing was to much trouble. The way I was treated was beyond my expectations and was wonderful. I cannot express my gratitude to all the staff enough in making my experience with them as stress free as possible at a very difficult time.
Thank you for your kind review. Our staff take great pride in welcoming every family as part of our own and treating everyone with dignity and respect. Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss.
However, the team in particularly on the Dementia floor were just fantastic. My dad was so well looked after with kindness and understanding of his illness. They also looked after mum and I and made us feel like it was our 2nd home .
The carers and the nursing team are worth their weight in gold here .
My dad was everything to me , rest assured I couldn't
have asked for any better in a care home . Thankyou to all of you !
Thank you so much for a lovely review, the staff at Tunbridge Wells care Centre pride themselves on the care they provide not only to the residents but to family members and each other as well. They truly area special team. I know they would all say what a pleasure it was caring for your father and meeting you and your mum was an added bonus.
When I came to visit a friend who is in your care I was very impressed with everything I saw and the help I was given and saw given to the residents.
Thank you for this kind review. the staff in the home treat everyone with care and kindness, relatives, residents and visitors alike. One of our core values is 'family' and we like to make everyone feel welcome.
When my husband was first sent to Tunbridge Wells Care Centre from hospital I was very upset, and would have preferred somewhere closer to home. However due to the really good care and improvement in his health, care, and contentment I no longer have any concerns. He is being exceptionally well looked after, is putting on weight, and is happy.
Thank you for taking time to submit a review, the care staff at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre are very proud of the care they give to all residents. The kitchen team liaise daily with the care staff, so everyone is aware of who needs additional fortified foods. I'm glad we alleviated all your initial concerns.
The manager and her team are the ultimate professionals and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the care centre.
Thank you Tony R, the care staff and other departments really do make it homely. They strive to make everyone feel welcome whether living with us on a permanent basis or just for respite.
If I had to go into a care home I would be very happy to be one of the residents. The care and respect they give to each resident is excellent keeping families informed at all times if a problem occurs, and trying very hard to keep residents stress-free as they come to terms with their new environment.
Thank you, the staff really do care and it shows in how they look after each and every resident.
Always fantastic care from all the staff, rooms cleaned every day, regular updates on the care plan and always called directly to be informed of any treatment needed. Nothing is too much trouble, we feel very lucky to have our relative there.
Thank you, the care staff work hard to ensure each and every resident is well looked after, and the housekeeping team pride themselves on cleaning every room on a daily basis, how they do it amazes me.
