Midland Care Home

We have had what is one of the biggest decisions of our lives putting our Mother in to a care home, but what a lovely experience we have had with the home we have found.

The manager was so lovely to talk to and expressing concerns was explained very well, the staff was very reassuring and had a lovely mannerism, this residence had a lovely feeling about it (warm and inviting) this made our decision easier, we selected this home for our mum to live and think she will be very happy.

The manager Trish gave us a tour prior to mums arrival. She spent time explaining the whole process involved in getting mum from the hospital to the home. All the staff were polite, smiling & all said hello to us. The home was amazing, more like a hotel! Since mums arrival, she is so much happier & relaxed. A big thankyou to you ALL!!!!

Had a walk around visit to Midland care home with my family and was immediately impressed on the facilities available for the imminent care of my mother. The room, which was chosen by us , was spotlessly clean and tidy. Walk in wet room was also top notch. Communication on every part of the move from hospital was very reassuring. A welcoming basket was the icing on the cake. I'm sure mum will be very happy

My wife arrived in an agitated, confused mental state. However, after a few days of authentic care and attention, her state of mind became calm and receptive to rational conversation. During the duration of her "respite care" stay, the staff continued to show concerned compassion.

Having been unwell myself, I haven't been able to visit much. I needn't have worried, she hardly noticed...which is a good thing.

Nothing is ever too much trouble. Having her leading the team makes the whole experience (sometimes very difficult) more manageable.

Mum has been here since May 2021. I live abroad now and each time I visit the UK I see mum It's hard but knowing she is at MCH where there is care I feel a release. I am grateful for the support she is given Keep up the good work.

Great staff who are very caring and take good care of our mum. Their understanding of Dementia care is commendable, the team are very thorough and keep us fully up to date on day to day matters. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice staff here they take really good care off Nan even know sometimes she can be demanding at times they always have the time and patience with Nan would like to say a big thank you for taking care off Nan

Amy, teresa & daisy all go above and beyond, and we will be forever grateful. The place is always clean and tidy. Staff are always cheerful and explain how our nan is doing, always keeps you updated.

Since before my dad even arrived Trish was doing everything she could to help facilitate my dads move to the care home. Having worked in care myself I was blown away by the quality of care given to the patients. Staff are incredibly caring but always seem happy and not over stretched. They really pay attention to thr details of who my dad is and make time to get to know him. It is clearly well run as staff from all departments seem happy to be at work and very positive in every interaction. I was so worried when my dad went into a care home, but from day one I have been able to sleep better at night, knowing he is there.

Mum been at M C H for last 5 years. They have always treated mum with dignity and respect at all times. Her care has changed drastically within this time frame and they have always changed her care plan accordingly. No hesitation in recommended this care home

There is always activities going on.

I have been extremely impressed with Midland Care Home, Wellingborough following my father's recent move there, from residential to nursing care. The professionalism and efficiency of the staff, particularly the Home Manager Trish, made the entire process smooth, well-organized, and as stress-free as possible. While it is still early days, the initial experience has been excellent, giving us great confidence in the care dad will receive.

Would like to thank the staff for doing all they did for my dad on his short stay as respite care . He sadly passed away the day he was ment to come home. But the staff was so supportive and even gave him a salute as the funeral people took him past . Which I thought was a lovely gesture . Many thanks guys keep up the great work

The care received by my mother is, as always, first class.

The staff give first rate care and as my mother is bed bound, non-verbal and doubly incontinent this must take a lot of patience and understanding.

They do their absolute best with little recognition or reward from my mother.

They try their best to engage her and she is, on occasion responsive to the extent that she grips a hand if offered.

Dad has dementia and they have helped him by trying to distract him if he gets agitated

My Mum needed palliative nursing care and she wanted to go to somewhere closer to where I live. I was recommended Midland Nursing Home by a few people and I am so glad we chose Midland for her. Trish the manager was excellent in informing me about every step making it a seamless transition for Mum from hospital to the home. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, and Mum has excellent carers on her floor, the Lily floor. I can take comfort in the fact she will be looked after properly and her needs will be met to a high standard. It's still early days but I would definitely recommend Midland Nursing home to anyone needing excellent care for their family member or friend.
