I couldn't wish for a better care home for my mum who is suffering from late stage dementia. The rooms, food and care team are utterly outstanding. As are the activities and the grounds. So very very happy!
Hi KrisThank you so much!! I'm glad to hear that we meet your expectation and we provide an outstanding care to your mum here and all ther est of the residents in the home.I will share this with my team.
My mother stayed for 10 nights respite care. She and I were extremely pleased with the care and attention she received from every member of staff and, if she needed similar care in the future, she would not hesitate to return to Cherry Blossom.
Hi StephenThank you so much for your kind words. We are happy to her that our care made a positive impact on your mum's experience and to you as well. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need us again. I will share your feedback to the rest of the team.
The moment I first visited her here, I was so impressed with the lovely building and surroundings. Felt like a hotel, not a care home! All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Always smiling and happy to help. The atmosphere here is lovely and warm, activity's always happening ranging from bingo to a pianist and a therapy dog.
The nursing team are fabulous, even giving me first aid when I hit my head. Going above and beyond, calling a few days later to see how I am. They give you time and listen to us
whilst going through a difficult diagnosis.
The care staff are also brilliant, they are very happy and treat the residents with respect. I can see why Cherry Blossom wins numerous awards and features regularly in the local paper.
Thank you all Cherry Bloosom you are all super stars.
Thank you for keeping our loved family member safe and well looked after.
Your feedback means a lot to us, making us feel valued and appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. We're delighted to provide exceptional service and care to your grandmother and all our residents. I will share this to the team and once again, thank you.
What a wonderful place! Its very telling that most of the staff have been there for years, it is such a good environment. My mother was exceptionally well cared for and all the staff are really passionate about their work. The premises are modern and well maintained and the food is excellent. I told them they have a new customer, I'd like to go there when I am in need (hopefully a few years yet).
Thank your kind compliment to all of us here and the services that we had provided for your mum.You are always welcome here. I will share this with the rest of the team.
I'm so impress of the care I receive here. And all the wishes I have is pretty covered. I'm very happy.
Hi FranWe are happy that you are happy in your home. We continue to try our best to fulfil your wishes.Thank you for this generous review for us as well.
My husband originally went for respite, but, is now a resident. The home is light and bright and welcoming, more like a hotel than a care home. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good selection on the menu every day. Activities all week. I can now rest knowing my husband is well cared for and in safe hands.
It's a great pleasure to hear good and positive feedback of our service, facility and care from our resident's' family. We are happy to know that we have gained your trust and confidence to us in the care of your husband. Thank you and I will share this with the team.
We are very satisfied with the home and the staff. We have noticed that mum is eating well and she seems to have settled in well. Her room is lovely and a good size.
Thank you for completing a review for us. This is encouraging for the team and rest assured that I will be sharing this with them too. We are happy to know the positive impact we have to your mum's health and well-being.
I live here and I am very happy, enjoy my time with staff. I would like to stay here.
Thank you, Chris. We are glad that you call Cherry Blossom your home now. We are happy to serve always.
Very comfortable care home, very good staff. Delicious food. Plenty of things to do.
Hi Annie, we do hope that you are settling well in your new home. Thank you for taking the time to review us. It's nice to know that you have been comfortable in your short stay with us, enjoyed the delicious food and found plenty of things to do. I have seen that you rated us, 3 stars under value...
I feel safe and content.
Thank you that you feel safe and content in the home. We will continue to work with you and make your life easy and happy.
I was looking for the ideal respite care for my mother for a short period whilst I got home care into place. I wanted her to have the best possible experience of a care home so she would always think fondly of her time in a home. From the moment I first visited Barchester Cherry Blossom Manor and was shown around, I knew my mother would feel like she was on holiday. The ensuite rooms are immaculate, the eating areas are set out like restaurants, the lounges are luxurious but by far, the largest attribute is the staff. The manager and her deputy visited my mother at home for assessment and were delightful. At the home, the staff go above and beyond each and every day and treated my mother as if she were part of their own family. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble which is important when you are leaving a loved one in their care, I got nothing other than a real "feel good" factor all the time my mother was at Cherry Blossom. Importantly, my mother was very happy at Cherry Blossom!
Hi Chris, caring for and knowing your mum whilst she was here with us has been a privilege. Thank you for taking the time to review us. It brings encouragement to all of us here to continue to give our best to each of our residents and their families. Thank you again. I will share this feedback with my team.
Mum has been at Cherry Blossom since October 2023. Her experience from the get-go has been second to none. Within the first week, we could see a difference in her. They ensured that her needs were met and went above and beyond to ensure that she was well looked after and that the little things that meant so much to her were done. She has always taken pride in her appearance and it was such a relief to see that the carer's had picked up on this. Within weeks her overall health but particularly her mental health, had improved considerably. It took her a little while to settle but each day the carers were patient with her and went very much at her pace. Now, she is a different woman, she takes part in the activities and has made some wonderful friends. All the carers are respectful, kind and helpful and we all feel that she is in very safe hands. Additionally, as a visitor we are always made to feel very welcome- whether you are 1 or 101 Cherry Blossom Care Home is a wonderful place to be.
We are incredibly grateful for your kind words and a 5-star rating in all areas of our service. This inspires the whole team to continue and do more to ensure residents have a meaningful home life. We are happy that we can also reassure the family of their loved ones in the home. I will ensure your review will be shared with the rest of my team.
Majority of care staff go above and beyond.
Individual rooms and furniture tired, need updating.
Outside areas are well maintained and presented.
Activities to include all residents preferably not just the same few.
No experience of management since relative entering 2 and a half years ago.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. We are taking your feedback on areas that you feel we have not fully delivered to you. I will share this with my team. Hopefully, we can arrange a time with you to discuss and achieve things better for you.
From day one, my mother has been excellently looked after by all members of staff. They are all very caring and are never in a rush to explain what needs to happen. My mother is always spoken to with respect and treated with dignity.
Dear Carol, thank you for taking the time to give us this wonderful feedback. It is our great pleasure to provide service with dignity and respect to your mum and the rest of the residents under our care. I will make sure that this is shared with my whole team.
I submitted a review last year and I am pleased to say Dad continues to do very well thanks to the Cherry Blossom Care Team. I am regularly kept up to date about Dad's general well-being, our opinion is valued, and concerns are listened to and allayed particularly with regard to changes in treatment and medication, with updates sent immediately should there be a more pressing issue. The team is great, always thinking about what is best for Dad and how to make his day more comfortable and enjoyable his safety and well are their first consideration, and all of this is of great importance as we live abroad and are not able to return to the UK as frequently as we would like. I have absolutely no concerns that Dad is happy and comfortable and receiving the best possible care, we are very grateful to all of the team for their time and dedication, Dad and I appreciate this immensely as I am sure to do all the residents and family members who have loved one at Cherry Blossom Manor.
Thank you once again for taking the time to share your continued positive experience with us. We are grateful for your kind words and happy to know that we are meeting your dad's and yourself's needs and expectations. I will share this with my team.
Thanks.
This is encouraging to all of us here. We are happy that your father's two-week stay has been a pleasant and great "holiday" for him and as well as to his family. I will make sure that I share this with Team Cherry Blossom. Thank you again. Send our warmest regards to your father.
Very happy, carers very good and helpful.
Hi Mary, it means so much to us that you are happy that you have now decided to stay with us permanently. We will always be here for you, Mary, as your additional family in your life.
The staff on Memory Lane are excellent. The lady who leads it is knowledgeable, caring, and extremely efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and my mum is cared for with dignity and respect at all times.
Thank you for this kind feedback. This truly encourages us all to continue our commitment to serving all the residents in our care. I will make sure that this is shared with my team.
Extremely happy with Cherry Blossom. Would recommend this care home to anybody who is thinking of having to put a relative in a home.
We are happy to know that we meet your expectations. We continue improving those areas that have not reached star 5 for full customer satisfaction. I will make sure to share your feedback with the team.
I and my family know that she is safe and cared for in the most highest standard that we can ever imagine.
They have lots of things to join in with, it’s very clean and the bedrooms are very pretty.
Thank you for this kind compliment. This inspires us to continue our sincere service and care for the residents that are entrusted to us.
Be assured that I will share this with the team.
Thank you again.

Meet the Team (13)

Hello & welcome to Cherry Blossom Manor. I have been a qualified Nurse for 25 years & always been interested in people & making a difference in their lives. Service to the elderly has always been close to my heart. I also like to develop people with a passion for service into leaders. Enjoy becoming more familiar with us here at Cherry Blossom.

I am a qualified Nurse which is a key part of my role as Deputy Manager here at Cherry Blossom. I began my journey here as a Head of Unit & was promoted shortly after to my current position. I like to help build a happy, competent and caring team which is a pleasure to be part of.
I strive to ensure that all care is delivered to a high standard. Most of all I want to make sure that all our Residents are safe, contented & happy. When I see Residents & Staff are happy & well that is when I am most satisfied in my work.

I initially joined as a newly qualified Nurse. I had a short break in service after several years where I went to Nurse in a hospital environment & then brought that experience back to Cherry Blossom & was promoted to my current role. I sincerely care for our Resident's best interests.

I came as a qualified Nurse & worked night shifts. I then moved onto day shifts & have been promoted to my current role. I am protective of our Resident's well-being & happiness.

I have worked for Barchester Healthcare for many years as a qualified Nurse where I have worked in a few different homes. My first home was Cherry Blossom where I have returned with a wider knowledge of Barchester & been promoted to my current position. Cherry Blossom Residents make this a second home for me.

I started at Cherry Blossom as a Senior Night Carer where I then qualified as a Nurse here in the UK & I have been promoted to my current position.

I am passionate about helping people & working well in a team.

Previous to Cherry I worked in a bank for many years & have also worked as a Carer part-time, so this role is perfect as it combines both of these. This really home from home with our endless extended family of Residents, their families/friends & our staff.

I have been coming to work with my Mum(Ali Mather, Home Administrator)since I was only 12 weeks old. Due to this, I love people, fuss & yummy snacks. I used to help deliver the newspapers to the Residents but now my legs aren't as good as they were I potter around to visit them in my own sweet time.

I started here as a Carer, then Activity Assistant & then Hostessing. I have now come back to the Activities Team as the Coordinator where I am excited for this opportunity & what I can bring to our lovely Residents. The knowledge of the other departments/roles & the home will definitely be helpful to me.

I started at Cherry Blossom as a Carer & was then promoted to Senior Carer & then to my current position. Having good knowledge of the Care role helps me in my current position as we all work together. I enjoy interacting & building a good rapport with all of our Residents as I work around all of the homes. It gives me satisfaction to maintain a high standard of cleanliness giving a safe environment for all.

I started with Barchester as a Kitchen Assistant/Hostess in another home whilst studying for a VRQ in Professional Cookery at college to qualify for Hospitality Management. I came to Cherry as my current position. Cooking & Baking is my passion & I like creating new & exciting dishes for our Residents.
