Dad has been staying at Cherry Blossom since July as he has dementia which has rendered him in need of constant care. The home is very well run and every effort is made to ensure that dad is kept safe and well cared for. He has settled in well and the staff have all been extremely helpful, professional
and caring towards him and the family.

Sadly my mother passed away in September 2022 and I cannot thank the staff enough for the love and care they showed Mum from the moment she came to Cherry Blossom Manor until the time she left.
The memory lane team are incredible and work extremely hard to ensure each resident has the personal care

Mum stayed for a two-week respite break after hardly being away from home in the last 50 years! Mum is 89 years old, has Parkinson's disease, severe mobility issues and is in constant pain. Staff went over and above, for example, changing mattresses, bedding and moving furniture to help Mum settle.
The room was comfortable and clean, next to a stunning garden. When we left Mum, we felt confident that she was being looked after in safe hands.

I cannot recommend this care home more highly. They are so attentive to their residents and extremely communicative and supportive with relatives. To be honest, I very much doubt my dad would be with us today without the care afforded to him by the staff and management at Cherry Blossom Manor. I cannot
speak highly enough of them. If you are looking for the perfect care home for your loved one, contact Gigi straight away.

Mum was in for 2 weeks of respite care. This is her 3rd visit.
Being in Silchester has made a whole new experience, very superior to the last visits. The staff were far more engaged, the atmosphere much calmer and Mum seemed much more settled.

My sister spent several years in Cherry Blossom Manor before she died. She was known as a bit of a character, and we know she would sometime be a bit of a difficult character. The staff were always really supportive of her, both medically and socially. We live abroad, and their staff were always helpful
in keeping us up to date on her well-being. We were very glad that she was cared for at Cherry Blossom Manor.

Throughout the last two years, my mother-in-law has been a resident at Cherry Blossom; she has been cared for and treated with the utmost respect and dignity by all the staff. My husband and myself are kept up to date with how she is doing and any interventions needed by any other health care professional.
Lead nurses and carers are always cheerful and willing to listen to any concerns or worries we have. A massive thank you to all involved in my mother-in-law's care. I would definitely recommend Cherry Blossom to anybody who was looking for a nursing home for their loved ones.

Having been a resident for a few years, I can honestly say that I am happy and grateful to live in a home with wonderful staff, who remain cheerful and comforting in good and difficult times. I am blessed to have a wonderful room that has windows and a door leading out to our beautiful bird garden,
where I can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature at its best.
I am also blessed that my children are secure in the knowledge that I am well looked after.
Cherry Blossom Manor is a home that meets all my needs, socially, physically, emotionally and sensually.

I have been visiting Cherry Blossom Manor for over two years now to see my godmother. Initially, it was a difficult transition for her to move away from her home. However, after a couple of months, she settled in and became accustomed to and comfortable in her new home. The staff have been incredibly
helpful and have taken great care to look after her, from the friendly personal attention of those connecting with her on a daily basis to the special meals prepared for her as her needs changed. Sadly, she passed away this week. Right to the end, I witnessed the staff showing true compassion and empathy towards her, making sure she was comfortable and felt personally supported. I wish to thank everyone at Cherry Blossom Manor for making her feel valued and loved through her last two years.

I have written to the Head of Memory Lane to thank her for the wonderful care that my wife received on Memory Lane. It far exceeded my expectations and I could not have been happier with Cherry Blossom Manor. I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone who was wanting to place a relative in care. One
hears so many bad reports about care homes, but Cherry Blossom is clearly an exception. Apart from the lovely environment, it was clean and always well staffed with kind and attentive carers who really seemed to enjoy their job.

We needed to identify respite care for my father at very short notice. Cherry Blossom was very accommodating and welcoming which made my father's move to a nursing home environment easy and he was immediately made to feel comfortable and safe which was a great comfort to the family.

My mother moved to Cherry Blossom Manor in November 2019. She settled quickly and enjoyed the activities organised for her. She had a mobile phone in her room and spoke to her daily. She told us how well she was being looked after and often whilst we were talking in the evening someone would pop in
with a cup of tea and a biscuit for her. Lockdown curtailed our visits to her but we were still able to talk and the home provided a tablet so that we could video call her too. They set up a Covid safe pod which we could book to use, she could sit on the other side of the screen and see the family. The pandemic reduced her activities and she began to decline. Towards the end of 2021, we were able to visit face to face again and brought her out for tea occasionally. Sadly her dementia accelerated and she passed away in November 2021. The staff at the home were extremely caring and it was great to learn how much she had become part of their "family." We are very grateful to all her carers.

It was a tough decision to move my mum into a care home. But, the care, support and kindness that mum has received since arriving shows us it was the right decision. The team at Cherry Blossom are always helpful and they give mum the time to do daily living tasks and activities. They are very good at
encouraging mum to do as much as she can for herself. The staff communicate with the family well. Thank you to all the staff for all you do and for always being so cheerful and positive.

I used to help deliver the newspapers to the Residents but now my legs aren't as good as they were I potter around to visit them in my own sweet time.
