Burns Night pop uip restaurant 25/01/19. A thoroughly enjoyable 3-course Scottish themed meal. Well presnted, very tasty. Hot food, nice and hot. Staff very cheerful and competent. The guitar was anice tough but maybe some bagpipes would have been nice at some point seeing as we were celebrating Burns Night. Will definitely attend more events of a similar nature (work commitment permitting!).
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Burns Night pop up restaurant and will take your feedback on-board for next year. We hope to see you at the village again soon.
My father came to Belong, Crewe from a more traditional care home. He instantly loved the "household" concept which creates a family atmosphere, especially with each household having its own dedicated staff. He also benefited from Belong's active integration into the local community, by taking part in events staged at Belong, as well as enjoying the cafe with his visitors. In addition, he enjoyed facilities available to residents such as the fitness suite. Sadly my father passed away whilst at Belong and whilst his care there could not be faulted, his end of life care was quite exceptional.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. Our staff will be most touched to read this. It was a privilege to care for your father and we are delighted to hear that your experience of Belong was so positive.
Very caring. Mother is very happy there with lots of friends. I’m kept up to date if there are any problems.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. We are delighted to hear that your experience has been a positive one and trust it will continue to be so. Thank you for choosing Belong Crewe.
If you are 24/7 caring for a parent with dementia but finding it too much please go and have a look round Belong. As nice as the idea of keeping them at home is, the reality is not usually very nice for anyone. I found it exhausting, exasperating and frustrating. Mum was bored, bitter and angry. By June it was becoming unsafe too as she was wandering and confused. Rescue for both of us came in the form of Belong. Mum has a lovely room which she thinks is in a hotel, she has new friends (staff and other residents), things to stimulate her and people who genuinely care about her are there night and day to talk or help her in any way she needs. Only a few weeks after moving in she became extremely settled. The staff are well chosen, caring, well trained and professional and there are a few who stand out as amazing! We visit mum regularly and take her out which she loves but after a few hours, she will ask to go back. She is much calmer and far less confused than she was at home.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. Our staff work really hard to ensure a friendly, homely and welcoming environment and so it will mean a great deal to them to hear that their dedication is making a difference. Thank you for choosing Belong Crewe; it's a pleasure to have your mum stay with us.
I felt happy with the respite period as everyone made me feel so welcome and my carer and I decided I would continue at Belong as it provides everything I need.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. It is a pleasure to have you stay with us at the village and the staff teams will be delighted with this feedback. We aim to maintain high standards at Belong Crewe; we are thrilled to hear this has been your experience.
From the very first moment we went into Belong Crewe, we knew this was the right place for our aunty. They are friendly, kind and extremely helpful - in essence, all the staff are fab-u-lous!
Thank you very much for this lovely feedback. I will be delighted to share it with the team. They are indeed extremely dedicated and I'm sure will be most touched to read it.
Belong Crewe has an amazing staff. They have been caring for our mum for almost a year in a totally professional and efficient manner. Just as important, they are loving, kind and very generous with their time and energy. We have watched them deal with some very tricky situations with grace and class and are grateful for everything they do for mum.
Thank you for your positive feedback on the support provided at Belong Crewe. We do our best to understand every customer and it is a pleasure to have your mum living with us.
I have found Belong Crewe to be almost flawless. I live in America and my mother in Crewe. She started by attending experience days every Wednesday, then got a flat, and then moved into one of the households. At every step everyone has been enormously helpful, both to my mother and to me, they go beyond and above what we want, are incredibly professional, clean, well-mannered. The place has a wonderful feel to it and everyone pitches in to create a well-oiled machine. I thoroughly, unreservedly recommend it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with this lovely feedback. Our staff work really hard to ensure a friendly, homely and welcoming environment. It means a great deal to our village team to know that this is appreciated.
My 93 year old mother had become increasingly confused and was hospitalised many miles away after a minor fall. She could not be discharged back to her home as she now needed full nursing care in an end-of-life context. I approached Belong to see if they could help me at very short notice. They were incredibly helpful and very soon Mum was in a beautiful room at Belong. I cannot praise the staff at Belong highly enough for their care and compassion for Mum (and me!). The staffing levels are very high and all are very well trained. I quickly got to know the group of staff dedicated to the small household in which Mum was resident. Her last days were very peaceful and I could visit and sit with her at any time. I was pleased and amazed that a staff member sat with her all the time during her last hours. I thoroughly recommend Belong Crewe. They couldn't have done better!
Please accept our condolences; it was a privilege to care for your mum and we are pleased to know she was happy during her time here. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and I will ensure your kind words are shared with the staff team.
My Father has always been treated with respect and given stimulation relating to his interests, even when he attended experience days for many years, prior to becoming a resident. The aided his adjustment to staying and also the friendly welcoming staff already knew him. The standard of care is excellent, high standard of dementia care, homely atmosphere. The staff of all levels are helpful, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. They offer a second home to relatives encouraging family feeling throughout the clean, well laid out home, supported by the many thoughtful activities for everyone to join in. I cannot recommend Belong Crew enough, it is like a four-star hotel!
Thank you for leaving such a kind review of Belong Crewe. We are so happy to hear that your father is settled and happy and will aim to keep our services to such high standards.
Have been coming to Belong for almost a year and find the experience warm and friendly. Everyone is very helpful and caring. The moment you enter through the front door the warmth and professionalism envelopes like a hug.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. We are so touched by your kind words and will aim to keep our services to such high standards.
My dad lives in a household of 10 with open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. He enjoys going to "the venue" with a variety of daily activities and I enjoy taking him out to the Bistro all under the same roof. The dedicated team of carers in the household show genuine love and concern for my dad. I would especially like to thank his nursing companion whose prompt action in February definitely saved his life.
This dedication and genuine concern is exemplified by the manager of Belong Crewe, shown by the time and care he gave to my family when looking for the ideal nursing care for dad at very short notice. We wish we had discovered the "Belong Village" 5 years ago.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that your dad is happy at Belong Crewe and that the dedication of our village staff team is making a difference.
Being with my friends, each encouraging each other to excel.
We had a sponsored bike ride and I hadn't had so much fun in ages while raising money for a new bike.
The staff are great and they always encourage you to surpass your goals.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that you are happy with the service and that our staff team are able to support and encourage you. I will ensure your kind words are shared with the team; thanks again.
Everyone works very hard to help all residents feel at home and wanted.
Thank you for your positive feedback on the support provided at Belong Crewe. Our staff work very hard to ensure that the village is a friendly and homely environment for everyone and they will be delighted to hear that this has been your experience.
Our mum was a resident of Patriot Household, Belong, Crewe for four years. Throughout that time we have been very impressed by the excellent quality of service offered by Belong from the management at the top, through to the nursing staff carers, cleaners, cooks, hairdressers, handymen, physios, events organisers. They work as a team, are very dedicated to looking after the individual needs of residents to provide a cheerful welcoming environment for residents, family and community. Mum was never lonely. She was always treated with dignity and respect. Belong carers became like an extended family to mum. With their help, she achieved full recovery from a hip operation aged 97 years! We as family members were welcomed and supported through difficult times at any time of the day or night. We thoroughly recommend Belong as a care home. It has been a joy and still is a joy to visit Belong.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to provide us with this lovely feedback. Our staff work really hard to ensure a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment and it means a great deal to all of the village team to know that this is appreciated. It was a privilege to support your mum and we trust that your experience of Belong will continue to be so positive.
The carers/staff were well trained and knew how to address any eventuality which gave us the relatives confidence.
I would also like to thank the management team of Belong Crewe and all their staff who work tirelessly day and night they are dedicated people selfless and caring and that they are a big plus for Belong Crewe.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this moving feedback. Our staff work really hard and aim to make people's time with us as special and positive as possible. It will mean a great deal to the village team to read your comments and I will ensure that they are shared with everyone.
The support they have given me is valued highly. Everything is explained and I can ring and visit whenever I want to.
It's so nice to know that Mum is living in such a happy and safe environment.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. We are delighted to hear that you mum is happy and settled here. Our staff teams work extremely hard to ensure we provide high levels of support and maintain high standards throughout the village and so they will be happy to know that this has been your experience. I will ensure your comments are passed on to the team.
Very, very good home. Mum has lived a good and longer life because of her good care. Thank you very much from all her family.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. We are touched by your kind words and will ensure they are shared with the staff teams at the village.
Luckily, I only live 5 minutes away from Belong Crewe. I regularly go to the hairdressers. It is not too expensive and the ladies are excellent at their jobs and are always so patient and kind with any of the residents who have various problems. I regularly go for lunch - very good food and not too expensive.
I and some friends enjoy playing scrabble with 2 of the residents. The activities are excellent eg. darts, keep fit, modelling, outside speakers, bingo, quizzes etc. There is a lovely garden with a water feature, raised beds, lovely plants and shrubs etc. I have visited many local homes and this is the best.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of Belong Crewe. Our staff work really hard to ensure we provide a friendly and welcoming environment with a variety of meaningful activities to join in, for residents and members of the community, and so we are delighted that this has been your experience.
I asked the staff on bringing her back from the hospital to wash it but two days later when we visited it was still the same, I asked again and it was done by next visit. Surely the staff can see it was dirty.
On my visit today I had to tidy her room and bathroom and the carpet needed vacuuming. I also had to assist a lady to find a chair. I realised the staff were doing a handover but they should have taken over from me as I am not insured to help a client. I feel the staff are friendly but they just seem at times a little nonchalant.
Thank you for the feedback. We are very concerned about this customer experience which falls short of our expected standards and are now looking into the issues listed. The Village Manager will arrange to meet with Mrs. Bateman to discuss these matters in more detail and try to resolve the concerns.

Meet the Team (6)

Caroline Anthony was appointed as General Manager at Belong Crewe in April 2024, following her five-year tenure in the role of Support Manager, where she consistently demonstrated her leadership skills with compassion and dedication.
Amongst the country’s first graduates for the NVQ in health and social care when originally launched, Caroline’s career took off when she secured her first care job in a local nursing home. Following a brief break, she returned to work, this time for the council, providing domiciliary care in the community.
It was after joining Belong in 2016 as a senior support worker that Caroline began to develop her leadership skills, progressing to Lead Senior Support Worker and then earning her promotion to Support Manager.
As General Manager, Caroline has overall responsibility for all who work and live at Belong Crewe, whether in 24-hour care households or independent living apartments.
She operates an open-door policy and always welcomes feedback from customers and members of the wider village community as we work together to enhance wellbeing and outcomes for all in our care.

Dean joined Belong Crewe soon after it opened in 2011, quickly proving himself a compassionate, dedicated and highly regarded team member. He worked as a Support Worker for 12 years, providing outstanding support to residents while completing both his Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Adult Social Care. Promotions to Senior Support Worker, then Team Leader, followed, and it was during his tenure in the latter role that Dean deservedly won the fiercely contested Belong Champion Award for Leader of the Year.
He continued to demonstrate his dependability as he took on increasing levels of responsibility following the appointment of Caroline Anthony as General Manager. He was appointed to the Village Management Team as Assistant Support Manager in 2023, before being promoted to the Support Manager role the following year. He is currently working towards his Level 5 Diploma in Adult Social Care.

Jane Hughes was promoted from her role as Acting Support Manager from Village Nurse Manager in April 2024.

Joy brings a wealth of experience to the role of Front of House Manager, having previously worked in retirement living for the past eight years. Joy started her career as a receptionist and progressed to being responsible for five schemes across Cheshire; involved in all aspects of administration, customer finances and facilities management.

Nurturing home-grown talent, Belong Crewe promoted Jessica Butler to the post of Experience coordinator in June 2021.
Jessica will work with the wider village team to ensure the provision of meaningful occupation for residents of both its 24-hour care households and independent living apartments, as well as managing the Experience Day programme for customers of Belong’s specialist day care service.
Joining the team as a bistro assistant at Belong Crewe when the village first opened in 2010, Jessica has progressed with the organisation, as it quickly became apparent that her skills in connecting to customers would be highly beneficial in a care capacity.
Belong supported her learning and development to make the transition to becoming a support worker, and Jessica worked under the guidance of Belong’s Dementia Trainer as she took her Level 3 qualification. Jessica soon flourished, showing the perfect balance of empathy and positivity to bring joy and purpose to Belong’s residents and she progressed to a senior support worker.
Inspired by the value added by the Experience Day Team, Jessica later moved across to a role in this service. Already knowing the residents and their needs well, she understood how to create meaningful activities that engaged the customers on a daily basis.

Jane joined the Belong at Home team in 2018 and has made improvements to the service during that time.
Having progressed within the organisation, from the role of Community Support Worker to Senior Community Support Worker, before being appointed to the role of Area Manager in January 2020; Jane brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. Jane has previously worked in marketing and has experience in leading teams and performance management. Jane has worked and lived in both South Africa and America and returned to the UK in 2015 after living most of her life abroad.
